Streetevangelist520^ View Profile History	Why we need to have love for Jesus, one another as believers and the lost Posted : 4 Jun, 2023 11:29 AM The scripture passages i'm going to base this discussion are Colossians 2:1-10; John 13:31-35 and Matthew 28:18-20. Why do we need to love Jesus first? Because He first loved by what He did for us on the cross, His unconditional agape love is consistent . This should lead to us loving one another as believers unconditionally so this can be a good witness to the unbelieving world and we should love the lost in the same way as mentioned in 1 Cor 13 and the book of 1 John without approving of our own and others sin. As Mike Macintosh has said: "There are three things that make up a solid vibrant church, Faith in Christ, right biblical doctrine and the love of Jesus." What this means is all our words and actions should reflect Jesus in all our relationships so it makes the gospel more valid to an unbelieving world. And this can only be done through the power of the Holy Spirit and God and Jesus by staying connected to the Vine as stated in John 15:1-8, without relying on the Trinity we are doomed to fail. I admit that in this area that i have a long ways to go but i'm making progress in Jesus and i admit i'm not perfect. But Christians are held to a higher standard of hating the sin and loving the sinner and loving everybody in Jesus name. They will know that we are Christians by our love. I pray that we as Christians would have an urgency to love Jesus, other believers and the lost with the gifts He has given us. The Rapture of the church is near and we need to repent of our compromise and false doctrine in the church worldwide as it says in 2 Chron 7:14 and quit pointing the finger at the sinners and point the finger at ourselves as Christians as stated in Matt 7:1-6. We need an another great awakening in the church again and revivial starts you and me personally. I pray that this teaching will motivate all of us to act like Christians and glorify Jesus as stated in Matt 5:13-16 in Jesus name. Post Reply

It was very encouraging and uplifting. We have study books scripture reference. It was on being concerned about being Witnessing to the Lost. Like your post here evangelist. One young lady in our group is a Basketball star and she's traveled to Israel. I'm happy I know " intelligent" kind people. Post Reply
