Here's some of the themes from my Dr. David Jeremiah study Bible that are main themes of the book: 1. Songs through the generations 2. Redirecting hearts toward God 3. Language for our deepest longings. I've heard it said that the book of Psalms teaches you how to relate to and worship God. Here we go. Psalm 1 talks about the way of the righteous and the end of the ungodly. There are several points that we need to apply to our lives such as: 1. Being careful what kind of counsel you take and what kind of paths you take and delighting in God's Word and meditating upon it continually- vv.1-2 2. Making sure you are planted and rooted in God's Word so you can be fruitful in God's work which is true prosperity- v.3 3. The destinies of the righteous and the wicked- vv.4-6. Are we living righteously or wickedly? The choice is yours. I pray this whole series will be a blessing to you all in Jesus name. Post Reply

Verses 1 through 3 talk about the senseless rejection of God's rule. Verses 4 through 9 about Jesus rule over all the nations and verses 10 through 12 talk about reverencing God and submitting to His authority. Psalm 3 talks about the LORD helping his troubled people. Psalm 4 talks about the safety of the faithful and psalm 5 talks about a prayer for guidance. These chapters illustrate that you let Jesus have rule over your life and you can talk to Him about anything, that is what a personal relationship with Jesus is all about. Post Reply

It contains all the words and prayers I need when I want to confess my anxieties, troubles, persecutions, broken heart over sins, disappointment about my slow Christian growth and my Romans 7 defeats. It has all the words I need to say to God. It also contains prayers about looking to God in praise, thanksgivings, confidence, faith, trust in his word, prayers able his help, his love, his mercy, his salvation, his grace and all I need‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️ Post Reply

Psalms 6 talks about praying in faith in times of distress, Psalms 7 talks about prayer and praise for deliverance from enemies, Psalm 8 talks about the glory of the LORD in creation, Psalm 9 talks about prayer and thanksgiving for the LORD'S righteous judgments and Psalm 10 talks about a song of confidence in God's triumph over evil. What do these psalms illustrate that God is reliable even when life is not. Praise God for His faithfulness, hallelujah. Post Reply

Psalm 12 talks about man's treachery and God's constancy, Psalm 13 talks about trust in the salvation of the LORD, Psalm 14 talks about the folly of the godless and God's final triumph and Psalm 15 talks about the character of those who may dwell with the LORD. What are the main messages of these Psalms: 1. Trust in the LORD'S righteousness not your own. 2. Man will let you down but God will not let you down. 3. Jesus can only save you, you can't save yourself. 4. Life without God is futile. 5. The conduct of the righteous is different from the wicked. Let go apply these truths to our practical everyday life with God's help. Post Reply

Streetevangelist520^ View Profile History	Series on the book of psalms Posted : 13 May, 2023 03:57 PM Psalm 21 talks about joy in the salvation of the LORD, Psalm 22 is a prophetic psalm about Jesus, Psalm 23 talks about the LORD THE SHEPHERD OF HIS PEOPLE, Psalm 24 talks about Jesus kingship and His kingdom and Psalm 25 talks about a plea for deliverance and forgiveness. All these talk about contentment in Christ, Jesus life on earth and rule and confession and repentance as a daily part of the Christian Living. Now let's go live this out and share with others at God's leading. Praise the LORD. Post Reply
