The book of JobPosted : 4 May, 2023 04:27 PMI am currently reading the book of Job right now and i can relate to what Job has gone through and he's going to see me through to other side. Righteous people sometimes suffer unrelated to sin and sometimes related to it. Here's a key verse in Job 1:21-22: "Naked i came from my mother's womb, And naked shall i return there. The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD." 22In all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong. What does this illustrate? God will only allow Satan to go so far in the believer's life. Romans 8:28 says: "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." Let God use your trials and sufferings as a platform to be a strong witness for Him. Let them make you stronger not weaker. Also i'm learning that when someone is suffering they don't need your advice and lectures they need godly encouragment and sometimes your silent prescence. We cannot assume what God is teaching someone unless they are willing to disclose it to us and we only tell it to the right godly people that we can trust and to Jesus. To fail to put ourselves in someone else's shoes can translate to religious hypocrisy and judgmentalism. Jesus came down on the pharisees for this in the new testament and we as christians are guilty of this. Think before you speak. Remember that we as christians are called to love jesus, one another and the lost. Hate the sin and love the sinner. As God , Jesus and the holy spirit love us, we are to love everyone in the same way. I pray that this topic will be a blessing to you all in Jesus name. God bless you. |

The book of JobPosted : 6 May, 2023 04:43 PMI just read Job chapters 23 through 27 today and this evening and i've learned a lot of lessons like God knows everything, God's mercy on everybody, reverence for God and maintaining your integrity in the midst of adversity to apply to my practical everyday life. Praise the LORD this book in the bible. It lets me know that God is in control and i'm not. I just need to cooperate with His plans not mine. This is a good lesson for all of us as Christian to keep in mind. |

The book of JobPosted : 7 May, 2023 12:19 PMI just got done reading Job 28 through 32 today which talks about how God's wisdom superceedes ours, that God's righteousness is better than ours and we need to speak what God wants us to speak at the Holy Spirit's leading. I've had to learn all this the hard way but thank God for His mercy, grace and love or we would all be in hell right now. Thank God for what Jesus did for us on the cross for all our sin. Now the hardest part is applying all this with God's help, but it can be done. Praise the LORD. |
