/////////// heb 8:13

3 In that he saith, A new [covenant] he hath made the first old. But that which is becoming old and waxeth aged is nigh unto vanishing away. 9:1 Now even a first [covenant] had ordinances of divine service, and its sanctuary, [a sanctuary] of this world.

this means there is a ordinance for the new also

2 For there was a tabernacle prepared, the first, wherein [were] the candlestick, and the table, and the showbread; which is called the Holy place. 3 And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holy of holies; 4 having a golden altar of incense, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein [was] a golden pot holding the manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant; 5 and above it cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy-seat; of which things we cannot now speak severally. 6 Now these things having been thus prepared, the priests go in continually into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the services; 7 but into the second the high priest alone, once in the year, not without blood, which he offereth for himself, and for the errors of the people: 8 the Holy Spirit this signifying, that the way into the holy place hath not yet been made manifest, while the first tabernacle is yet standing; 9 which [is] a figure for the time present; according to which are offered both gifts and sacrifices that cannot, as touching the conscience, make the worshipper perfect,

10 [being] only (with meats and drinks and divers washings) carnal ordinances, imposed until a time of reformation. 11 But Christ having come a high priest of the good things to come, through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation, 12 nor yet through the blood of goats and calves, but through his own blood, entered in once for all into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption.

He was not made of this creation but he was a holy thing

13 For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling them that have been defiled, sanctify unto the cleanness of the flesh: 14 how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish unto God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

is your consicience clean?

15 And for this cause he is the mediator of a new covenant, that a death having taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant, they that have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.

6 For where a testament is, there must of necessity be the death of him that made it.

17 For a testament is of force where there hath been death: for it doth never avail while he that made it liveth.

18 Wherefore even the first [covenant] hath not been dedicated without blood. 19 For when every commandment had been spoken by Moses unto all the people according to the law, he took the blood of the calves and the goats, with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people, 20 saying, This is the blood of the covenant which God commanded to you-ward.

the ten commandments are still active over the believer

20 saying, This is the blood of the covenant which God commanded to you-ward.

21 Moreover the tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry he sprinkled in like manner with the blood. 22 And according to the law, I may almost say, all things are cleansed with blood, and apart from shedding of blood there is no remission.

The blood of Christ was shed ONCE. for remission of sins.

23 It was necessary therefore that the copies of the things in the heavens should be cleansed with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. 24 For Christ entered not into a holy place made with hands, like in pattern to the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear before the face of God for us:

25 nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place year by year with blood not his own; 26 else must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once at the end of the ages hath he been manifested to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

27 And inasmuch as it is appointed unto men once to die, and after this [cometh] judgment;

we are to die to sin when we come to Christ and we are cleanzed but after if we sin there is judgement.

for the Word says judgement begins in the house of God.

28 so Christ also, having been once offered to bear the sins of many, shall appear a second time, apart from sin, to them that wait for him, unto salvation.

Christ did not die for the sins of the World but the sin of the world that is unblief and that only applies to the one's who recive Him for if Christ died for the sins of the world He could not commend the world.

10:1 For the law having a shadow of the good [things] to come, not the very image of the things, can never with the same sacrifices year by year, which they offer continually, make perfect them that draw nigh. 2 Else would they not have ceased to be offered? because the worshippers, having been once cleansed, would have had no more consciousness of sins. 3 But in those [sacrifices] there is a remembrance made of sins year by year. 4 For it is impossible that the blood of bulls and goats should take away sins. 5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, But a body didst thou prepare for me;

Christ came bodily

6 In whole burnt offerings and [sacrifices] for sin thou hadst no pleasure: 7 Then said I, Lo, I am come (In the roll of the book it is written of me) To do thy will O God

we too are to do the will of the Father as Christ and die to sin.

,. 8 Saying above, Sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and [sacrifices] for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein (the which are offered according to the law),

nor are we who are His body walk in sin any longer

9 then hath he said, Lo, I am come to do thy will. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. 10 By which will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

we are sanctified though the blood

11 And every priest indeed standeth day by day ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, the which can never take away sins: 12 but he, when he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; 13 henceforth expecting till his enemies be made the footstool of his feet.

Christ return will be ushered in when all things are under His feet!

14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

sanctification is an on going processes

15 And the Holy Spirit also beareth witness to us; for after he hath said, 16 This is the covenant that I will make with them After those days, saith the Lord: I will put my laws on their heart, And upon their mind also will I write them; [then saith he,]

we have the laws written on our hearts this is the royal law spoken about in the book of James

17 And their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. 18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.

remission means? remission definition

19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holy place by the blood of Jesus, 20 by the way which he dedicated for us, a new and living way, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; 21 and [having] a great priest over the house of God; 22 let us draw near with a true heart in fulness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience: and having our body washed with pure water,

this happens when we allow the Holy Spirit to wash us in our thoughts and bodily action by the word of God.

23 let us hold fast the confession of our hope that it waver not; for he is faithful that promised: 24 and let us consider one another to provoke unto love and good works;

we are to judge and correct each other , for we are all one body ,,we are not to judge the world, butwe are to admonish one another

25 not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting [one another]; and so much the more, as ye see the day drawing nigh

we are to exhort one another

I like your picture. It looks like an excellent place for a picnic. That is an example of being in Heaven here on Earth.

Being saved means living in peace with God now. When we sin, we lose that comfortable feeling.

I think the standard interpretation of Heb 10:26 is that "sinning willfully" is to be understood as "sinning stubbornly", wherein one has heard the truth but rejected it, and continued in his sin; for them there is no more sacrifice.

However, they may be reading more into what Paul wrote because they think it contradicts other verses. I wouldn't be concerned if it did, he's not a prophet. And on that note, does anyone know of a similar verse in one of the Gospels? (I should be reminded of it: if MTAW is correct then I should give up now, because in that case I've already received and lost my salvation).

You can always repent...the only way you'll know you're lost is if you give up. Don't give up, and you won't be lost. Keep trying to walk like Jesus walked and you'll make it.
