So unprecedented is the time that we live in today, that the WHOLE world is now talking about this one particular subject. The questions on many people's lips are - "What is the future for this world"? ... "Is the world going to end soon?" Believers and non-believers alike are asking the same question. Even the stones are crying out - IT'S COMING!, IT'S COMING! But what is coming? Matthew 24:7; 2 Peter 3:10 What is coming? The return of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and the destruction of this earth. And how do we know this is going to happen? Just look at the signs given in the Bible. Daniel 12:4; Matthew 24; 1 Timothy 4:1; Hosa 4:3; Luke 21:25-26; 1 Thessalonians 5:3; 2 Timothy 4:3-4; 2 Timothy 3:1-5; 2 Peter 3:3; Revelation 11:18 All of these things are taking place at the same time right now in the world! And what did Jesus say in Matthew 24? ...'When ye shall see ALL these things, know that it is near, even at the doors." - It's coming! This world is marked for destruction ... "But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men." (2 Peter 3:7). And all who hold unto this world will be destroyed along with it. But God has provided a way of escape from the coming destruction of this earth, and none need to be lost, for God is willing that all be saved, and He has no pleasure in the destruction of the wicked: 1 Timothy 4:6; Ezekiel 33:11 Thus saith the Lord ... "Why will ye die? Turn ye from evil ways and LIVE!" ... This world is going to become dust! Why hold unto dust?! God has provided a way for ALL of us to LIVE. And way is through faith in His Son Jesus Christ and the sacrifice He made for us to atone for our sins. Sin brought death into this world because our heavenly Father who is Holy, cannot abide with sin, therefore sin separates us from God. But our Heavenly Father showed us just how much He loves us by giving His very own Son to take the penalty of sin, so that we can be reconciled to the Father and have LIFE. John 3:16-18 There are only two choices. We can either reject God's Son, holding unto this world and be destroyed with it, when Jesus returns. Or we can BELIEVE in Jesus Christ and what He has done for us, letting go of this world, surrounding our lives to Him, and have ETERNAL LIFE! But we CANNOT both the world and Christ. We have to choose one or the other. James 4:4; Matthew 6:24 If we hold unto this world, we are holding unto sin. And sin separates us from God (Isaiah 59:2). This is why we must let go and surrender our lives to Christ. SO HOW CAN I BE READY FOR CHRIST'S RETURN? There are many people in this world today, even believers in Christ, who are what you would call 'prepping', for the end times. And what are they doing to 'prepare'? They are stock piling food. They are making underground bunkers. They are collecting and storing resources for the time of trouble. And yet they are lacking the ONLY thing that will make them READY for the return of Christ - FAITH! Does God need us to stuck pile food and resources? No! Do we not realize what we serve? We serve the living God who can SPEAK things into existence! And God's Word assures us that our needs WILL be provided for us, if we have faith. Isaiah 33:16; Matthew 6:25,31-33 Do you see? Our job is to have FAITH in God, not worry about 'stockpiling' for our own needs. God has promised that He WILL provide for us. Out must urgent need is to cultivate FAITH in God's Word. Those who are seeking to provide for themselves are not exercising faith, but are ultimately trying to save themselves. But we know from the Bible that we can ONLY be saved by faith (Ephesians 2:8). Jesus told us the key to success and the best way to be prepared for His return: John 15:4-7; Mark 8:34-38 Do you see? Abiding in Christ is the key to being prepared for His return. If we abidein Christ each and every day, denying ourselves, surrendering our lives to Him, allowing Him to dwell in us through His Spirit, then we will be ready. And by faith, we will be able to simply ASK for food and clothing during the time of trouble, and He will provide. But I also need to sound a warning concerning the Churches of this world. You see, another sign of the end times is the coming together of the various churches in this ecumenical movement, under the banner of the Roman Catholic Church. Revelation 17 speaks of the 'MOTHER of H' who would end up deceiving and controlling the world. The symbol of a woman in the Bible represents a church - (2 Corinthians 11:2; Isaiah 62:5) Isaiah 4:1 This speaks of a 'coming together' of women (the churches), taking the name of Christ, but saying ..."We want to do things OUR OWN WAY". They want to eat their own bread. What does bread represent in the Bible? The Word of God, which is Christ Himself (Matthew 4:4, John 6:35, John 6:51). So what are these women (churches) saying? They want to have the name of Christ, but do not want to live according His Word, but by their own ways and 'traditions'. And that is exactly what the churches of the world today are doing. They are coming together in this ecumenical movement, rejecting God's Word and going their own way. Not only that, they also want to be clothed in their OWN apparel. And what does the Bible say about 'clothing'? Isaiah 61:10 says that we are to be clothed with the righteousness of God, in which is SALVATION! But the women (churches) want to clothe THEMSELVES! And that will end in separation from God and destruction with the world! So many warnings is - Please don't put your trust in the churches or leaders of the churches, as great deception is coming through them in these end times. But put your trust in Jesus Christ and His Word. Dear friend. This world and all that is in the world is soon to become dust! So are you still holding onto this world or something in this world? Then you are holding onto dust! Please let it go and surrender your life to Jesus Christ, and you will have 'treasure in heaven' and an eternal life of joy and peace, where there will be no more pain, or suffering, or tears, or death (Revelation 21:4). Jesus is coming soon. Please give your life to Him today! Post Reply
