The issue is simply how the believer ought to best honor God in an obedient life. For Gentiles then, these guidelines were to help them in faithful living. I will contend that they do the same for us today. 👉👉 but the guidelines were not requirements that must be fulfilled in order to gain or to keep salvation. Salvation is the gift of God in Jesus Christ and we come to it entirely by faith

Verse 1 in Romans chapter 14, Paul starts out speaking of those GENTILES 'weak in faith' because they are offended by those buying CLEAN food from the markets that was once offered to idols (that cannot eat, LOL!) then put back into the markets and re-sold obviously to Christians..... Some converts are weak and offended by those that buy food from the market that was once offered to idols and those that eat that food BUT to him or her that is offended 'to be unclean, to him or her it IS then UNCLEAN because it was offered to IDOLS! You see?
