Why does God love us as imperfect as we are? Because He wants to, it pleases Him. It's in His very nature to love us, no matter how sinful our actions may be.
God conquers evil with good (see Romans 12:21). He does that by pouring out His limitless grace upon us so that when we sin, His grace becomes greater than our sin. And just as it is impossible for God not to love, so it is impossible for us to do anything to keep Him from loving us.
God loves because that is His nature. He is love (see 1 John 4:8). He may not always love everything we do, but He does love us. God's love is the power that forgives our sins, heals our emotional wounds and mends our broken hearts (see Psalm 147:3). God's love is unconditional; it is based on Him, not us! Once you realize that God loves you regardless of what you have or haven't done, you can experience incredible breakthrough. You can quit trying to earn His love and simply receive it and enjoy it.
Prayer : God, Your love is incredible. Focusing on Your love reminds me that it's based on Your goodness, not my actions. Help me to receive Your love for me.
Lyric, you’re a very highly educated and disciplined person and I appreciate and respect that.
But l was wondering if you could speak specifically to your declaration, “God’s love is unconditional”.
Would you offer a brief statement discussing your opinion with a view taken from a statement in Ps 7:11 which says God is angry with the wicked everyday.
Astonishingly, some of these “wicked people” are praying people!
From other passages, God says, “...even their prayer is an abomination...”.
So why would God be so angry at devout people who serve God and pray earnestly? Why would God refer to them as “the wicked” ?
Would you be so kind as to systematize your statement about God’s unconditional love with his anger against certain devout religious folk of whom he refers to as “the wicked”
Dave, in the Greek text the term, angry with the wicked is not there.
I have posted a gew translations to show this, the ones that have that added, they say the added wording helps the people to understand the text better.
Is that not adding to what GOD Almighty has said, thus He is not responsible for that which is not His Word Isaiah 55 verses 8-11
8 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,”declares the LORD.
9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth,so My ways are higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.
10 For just as rain and snow fall from heaven and do not return without watering the earth, making it bud and sprout, and providing seed to sow and food to eat,
11 so My word that proceeds from My mouth will not return to Me empty, but it will accomplish what I please, and it will prosper where I send it.

By the way, lyrics, i believe you are a health and wealth person, maybe name and claim, as these use such words as BREAKTHROUGH.
Quiz allow me to help advance your understanding over your uninformed concern about “adding” to the words of God.
You said this and I quote: “Is that not adding to what GOD Almighty has said, thus He is not responsible for that which is not His Word Isaiah 55 verses 8-11. Vs8 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,”declares the LORD.” End quote the Quiznos
Quiz, any translation of the word of God into another language almost always involves “adding” words. That’s not because translators are “changing” the word of God‼️ Are you with me so far⁉️
You’re confusing the term “adding” with the concept of “change”. You seem to think both terms are literally wooden and mean exactly the same thing.
Look, Quiz, you’re in the habit of admonishing folks to always check the context—and that’s a GOOD thing, I agree. But once again, as I’ve mentioned to you before, your rules apply only to other people.
So I would encourage you to check the context, in which a word is being used, to determine the word’s precise meaning—-> in-that-specific-context!! And please—-start applying your own rules to yourself also.
Ok, continuing on with the translation process.
Has anyone explained to you what an EXACT copy of the the original biblical languages would look like if an exact word for word order, a literal word for word rendering along with all the specific linguistic nuances inherent in the donor language, were adopted into another language ⁉️
Quiz, let’s get serious‼️
PLEASE pick up a book or paper that explains language translation and become informed. You should be able to find reliable online sources as well. BTW, have you read much in Mounce’s text lately?
Also helpful, try reading the translation notes in the first few pages in some Bibles that explain the translation method used.
Quiz, it’s one thing having to explain all this to a new believer but it’s kinda weird having to explain to someone who considers himself a qualified translator.
Quiz: Is that not adding to what GOD Almighty has said, thus He is not responsible for that which is not His Word Isaiah 55 verses 8-11
This is a chat forum, so keeping with the format i posed a question in order for others to join the conversation.
I also had given my reason for answering.
Dave, do you not believe that today the Holy Spirit is able to empower people to know when translations are wrong, or do you believe the translations are infallible.
Yes, and I responded with what looks like an answer to your question or concern, whatever you wanna call it.
There’s no biblical evidence the Holy Spirit works with believers in the same way he worked with the prophets, disciples or apostles who wrote under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, otherwise, why would one need scripture since the Holy Spirit is right there telling them everything.
According to John 16:7-11, the Holy Spirit “...convicts the world of sin and righteousness and of judgment...”
One of the first acts of obedience is to study the word of God. There’s no evidence the Holy Spirit will simply grant knowledge to a lazy person who refuses to study and obey the word.
Yes, the Holy Spirit will help a serious student who is obedient to the word God avoid false teaching.
But disobedient people who love sin will hide out in the darkness. All they’ll do is stumble about because they hide from the light. John 3:19And this is the verdict: The Light has come into the world, but men loved the darkness rather than the Light because their deeds were evil. 20Everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come into the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21But whoever practices the truth comes into the Light, so that it may be seen clearly that what he has done has been accomplished in God.”
John 11:10 But if anyone walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him.”
