Posted : 24 Jul, 2021 08:16 AM The Gospel is the (euaggelion) good news of Yashua, the life, death, burial, ressurection, ascension and out pouring of the Holy Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit the Gospel is not complete. What the Gospel does not include. 1.The need to confess ones sins to be saved. Ephesians 2 verse 5-10 2. The need to repent of ones sins to be saved, as the just shall live by faith.Repenting of sin always follows trusting Messiah, never before, a person repents of UNBELIEF. Mark 1:15 Repent, believe the Gospel, a person is not believing before they believe, you are not believing, repent ( change your mind about Yashua ) believe the Gospel. 3. Whether the earth is flat or round 4. A record of a persons good works. Good works follow faith in Messiah never before. 5. An exchange program such as a person giving their heart to Messiah ( GOD Almighty gives believers a new heart, one of flesh to replace the stony heart ). 6. Obedience to the law, as a person is justified by FAITH in Messiah apart from works of the law, Romans 3:28 7. People do not need to clean up their lives in order to be saved, Messiah wants people to come just as they are, He takes responsibilty to forgive, justify, make holy, make righteous, and to clean a person from sin, and to give rest. Matthew 11: 25-30 Anyone can add to this and keep this going, as many believe a lot of stuff not found in the Scriptures. Post Reply

To answer your inquiry,NO, a person does not need to confess any sina as the Gospel is about trusting Messiah as revealed in the Word, not your confessing your sins. Post Reply

Posted : 24 Jul, 2021 08:29 PM Moon, as with most people called 'christian', you seem to believe that a person needs to confess and repent of sin in order to be saved, that is not true. Confessing and repenting if sin happens AFTER a person HAS trusted Yashua to save them. A person does not confess and repent of sin to be saved, they confess and repent AFTER they have been saved. Some 'christians' believe they need to MAKE Yashua the Lord of their lives in order to be saved. Calvary chapels are big on telling people, Yashua needs to be the Lord of your life, for if He is not Lord of all, then He is not Lord at all. Hmmm the lie with this is you are the one that makes Yashua Lord, does that not make a person to be in control of who Messiah is. Before the foundation of the world and the creating of man Yashua is LORD, so how is someone able to make Messiah something/ someone He already is. Post Reply

For one thing, no one who believes Jesus is Lord and Master is struggling to make him Lord. He’s Lord already but real believers recognize his lordship and desire to obey him willingly simply out of pure love for him Post Reply
