21 Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’
23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’
Why does Messiah say the people doing miracles, casting out demons and prophesying were workers of lawlessness.
When is it against the law to prophesy, cast out demons or to do miracles.
It’s always amazing what little about the Bible false teachers know because they don’t study it much. Some even claim the “holy spirit directly reveals stuff to them,” of course, why study!!
Quiz, It’s not a sin to do real miracles to glorify Jesus—are ya with me this far Quiz⁉️
Since you hardly read the Bible you probably missed the part about Judas, the betrayer, doing miracles—-he was one of the twelve disciples, don’t cha know.
Then the verse you copied above very clearly says that those Jesus is talking about will CLAIM they’ve done miracles and all that. ENTER Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, Pat Robertson, the Roman Catholics and all the rest of those favorite TV self-proclaiming “evangelists” and “preachers” AND these are among the folk who also CLAIM the Holy Spirit comes directly to them and explains scripture TO THEM, while everyone else OBEDIENTLY busts their butt in Bible study. Yes, if you had ever read your Bible, you would have learned about the command to, “study to show yourself approved”.
In other words, false preachers who live a life of sin, (some even claimed they don’t sin, which is a sin) will meet Jesus on judgement day claiming they were pretty good people even “healing” sick people. But I think Jesus knows the difference between fake placebo miracles and real ones. AND he knows who truly loves and obeys
By saying “in that day” Jesus drew our attention to a coming day of judgment for all men. “What is the chief object of your life? Will you think as much of it “in that day” as you do now? Will you then count yourself wise to have so earnestly pursued it? You fancy that you can defend it now, but will you be able to defend it then, when all things of earth and time will have melted into nothingness?” (Spurgeon)
Lord, Lord, have we not: The people Jesus speaks of here had impressive spiritual accomplishments. They prophesied, cast out demons, and had done many wonders. These are wonderful things, but they meant nothing without true fellowship, true connection with Jesus.
Jesus did not seem to doubt their claims of doing the miraculous. He didn’t say, “You didn’t really prophesy or cast out demons or do miracles.” This leads us to understand that sometimes miracles are granted through pretended believers, reminding us that in the final analysis, miracles prove nothing.
Significantly, they even did these things in the name of Jesus. Yet, they never really had a relationship of love and fellowship with Jesus. “Through my love to the souls of men, I blessed your preaching; but yourselves I could never esteem, because you were destitute of the spirit of my Gospel, unholy in your hearts, and unrighteous in your conduct.” (Clarke)
“If preaching could save a man, Judas would not have been damned. If prophesying could save a man, Balaam would not have been a castaway.” (Spurgeon)
I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness: In the end, there is one basis of salvation; it isn’t mere verbal confession, not “spiritual works,” but knowing Jesus and being known by Him. It is our connection to Him – by the gift of faith that He gives to us – that secures our salvation. Connected to Jesus we are secure; without connection to Him all the miracles and great works prove nothing.
“What a terrible word! What a dreadful separation! Depart from ME! From the very Jesus whom you have proclaimed in union with whom alone eternal life is to be found. For, united to Christ, all is heaven; separated from him, all is hell.” (Clarke)
In addition, these are not people who lost their salvation. Instead, they never truly had it (I never knew you)
Exactly, lots of seeming “Christians” appear outwardly dedicated in their “service to God”. Undoubtedly, they believe they’re saved and on their way to heaven.
Perhaps Judas thought he was on his way to heaven, but Jesus knew from the start. In fact Jesus clearly indicated the choice of Judas was in fulfillment of scripture. Judas was the trader foretold in scripture.
Yet, we’re told Judas was an unrepentant sinner who often stole money from the disciples and FROM JESUS‼️‼️
YET THERE ARE IGNORANT PREACHERS who claim that Judas was once “saved”.
FOLKS‼️‼️Beware of ignorant preachers who disagree with Jesus.
Jesus knows your sin‼️‼️ Perfectionism among the chiefest of sins because you’re calling God a liar‼️
The surprise and anguish in the words, of those “Christian or saved” people who were sentenced by Jesus to eternal damnation, are intended to terrify ‼️
☹️☹️ And look no further than the dynamic duo of Adam 777 and fix a flat teddy as prime examples : @ first glance and if one didn't know any better you would think the two of them are christians
yet Adam teaches the Jehovah witness doctrine that Jesus is Michael Lee archangel a created being
and fix a flat teddy calls the trinity a pagan cult which is blasphemy ❗
If they died right now and stood right in front of the true Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ he would say " I never knew you " so please pray for them and and others who are whitewashed sepulchers with dead men's bones in them before it's too late
LittleDavid writes - 'Then the verse you copied above very clearly says that those Jesus is talking about will CLAIM they’ve done miracles'
Rsvp writes - 'Jesus did not seem to doubt their claims of doing the miraculous. AMEN RSVP!
Thanks rsvp for giving LittleDavid a good old fashioned public slapping of his false assumption of Scripture, claiming to be a teacher here! His pride seems to be his favorite sin but maybe his arrogance more so???
Quiz, its always good to expose those that belittle others just because they word things in a question and want to learn, you know the talk down to you method type that their 'jesus' would do they CLAIM??? Its 'amazing what little about the Bible false teachers' do when they ADD to the words of the Messiah like 'will CLAIM they’ve done miracles' when the Messiah plainly says they ARE doing miracles and casting out demons etc.... NOTE Quiz the Messiah NEVER says to them they were fake but that they were also at some point TRANGRESSORS breaking Torah Law and Littledavid does NOT want you to notice that word, which is also by name of 'INIQUITY' (continual sinners!)
Littledavid is only concerned about the modern FAKE ones like 'Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, Pat Robertson, the Roman Catholics.....' but completely misses the mark and message that they are also LAW BREAKERS, just as in the times of the Messiah! The Bible truly is an ageless writing of books and letters! Of course according to Littledavid, if you truly follow the Messiah and what He believed and lived it, kept the SABBATH by witness to us THEN, to us TODAY because there is NO change in the Bible of it, also in keeping ALL of Torah Law, then you are NOT a Christian but a HRM mover (its quite the assumption and labeling the good 'christian' Littledavid does, right Quiz?)! LOL! David will tell you (ASK HIM!) that there are two heavens, one set of LAWS for Gentiles and one for Jews! That's interesting because Adam and Eve, plus family and Abraham up until Genesis 32:28 were NOT even Israel yet OR Jews but will be in heaven 2 with the 'Gentiles' and the rest of the Hebrew/Jews in heaven 1!!!??? Is that cool or what Quiz? LMBO! You remember saying Abraham was a 'Gentile' awhile back don't you? But there is a big problem in Littledavid 'Pat Robertson' type theology (as well and Littledavid 'miracles' of ADDING words to the Bible!) because the Bible says they will ALL be in the NEW Jerusalem City, which of course (DUHHH) is named after the OLD Jerusalem in which YHWH's Law never has changed except for the FULFILLED animal sacrifices and earthly priestly duties etc... Hmmm, Littledavid thinks we landed on the moon also, HOUSTON WE HAVE A PROBLEM!!! LMBO again!
Of course Littledavid is correct when he says - In other words, false preachers who live a (CONTINUAL and PRACTICING) life of sin, (some even claim, like on this forum, that you have a license to sin, which is a sin) YICKS!
BEWARE Quiz, her comes the very fine "christians' here on the forum who will call names and distract, belittle from the topic soon after my post!
Break is over, back to ministry work, YHWH is coming soon for His sinless saints!
