“Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.” – John 15:13
today, we pay tribute and honor to every fallen soldier who made the ultimate sacrifice so that we can live free. There is no greater country on this earth: past, present, or future, than the United States of America. This country is so great because our Founding Fathers dedicated this land to God Almighty. These United States of America have prospered like no other country or civilization because of our covenant with the Father of all fathers.
and the brave men and women who have given their lives freely and without condition because of their great and unselfish love for this great Nation deserve our profound respect and gratitude. This country is the land of the free because of the brave—our fallen and unsung heroes who have protected us with their very lives to keep us safe and sound.
and now they are home, resting in the eternal arms of the One who made it possible for every one of us to return to our eternal home. To our fallen heroes: you have fought the good fight, you have finished the race, you have kept the faith, and you now wear the crown of righteousness (2 Timothy 4:17). Men and women of our armed forces, you are God’s sons and daughters of thunder! And we are so very proud to be Americans because of you! We are so profoundly proud of you! And we thank you for your service to God and country.
to the families of our fallen heroes— mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, sons, daughters, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews: we say thank you for your sacrifice in losing a loved one so that we can continue to love ours in the land of the free and the home of the brave.
to all of our brave men and women in uniform, past and present, living and those who have gone home: From the very bottom of my heart to your heart, I say thank you so very much for your sacrifice of service to our God and our Country, for protecting our liberties, for keeping us safe, and for continuing to make this country, these United States of America, the greatest Nation in the world! Thank you for your great and selfless love. May God bless you and keep you; and may God bless the United States of America.
father, on this special day in which we remember those fallen heroes who have gone before us and made the ultimate sacrifice, we ask You to bless their families in a special way. We lift up every soldier to You this day, and every family member of every soldier, and we cover them in the Blood of Jesus. Do something special for each of one of these precious and selfless young men and women. Heal every one of their physical, mental, and emotional hurts, Mighty God, and restore back to them everything they lost because of their amazing sacrifice. Hold them a little tighter today, Most Loving Father. In Jesus Name, we thank You for our brave men and women, who made the ultimate sacrifice for the country that they love with an everlasting love. Amen and Amen.
take action! Challenge your thinking! Choose to honor a service man and woman this day and every day. These brave men and women deserve our respect, our honor, our love, and our thanks. Handle them with the same care that they handle you, by their willingness to serve and lay down their lives so that you can live free. And continue to fight the good fight of lifting up and honoring our brave men and women in uniform; for God, the One who laid down His life for us so that we may have eternal life, has already given you the victory!
if you have never received Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, I encourage you to do it today, right now, by saying this prayer out loud: “Jesus, forgive me for my sins. I am sorry. I truly desire to be saved and reconciled back to God, my Father, through You. I receive Your sinless Blood as payment in full for my sins—past, present, and future. I now call You my Lord and Savior, and invite You to live within my heart, and to permanently live within me. I make You Lord over me and over my life from this moment on. Amen.” Congratulations! You are now a child of God, made whole and made new, by the Blood of Jesus Christ!
God tells us that we are blessed to be a blessing (Genesis 12:2). Be a blessing to someone by sending them this word of encouragement. If God did not already put someone in your spirit and on your heart that needs to read this uplifting message from above, simply ask your Heavenly Father who to bless on today.
