Who hasn't been inducted into the Hebrews 11 faith Hall of Fame??

makes me think about Pete Rose who was clearly one of the greatest baseball players ever and seemingly a shoe-in for the Baseball Hall of Fame. On Sept. 11, 1985 He became the all-time major league leader in hits and his record of 4,256 hits still stands. A 17-time All-Star, Pete also holds the record for games played (3562), at bats (14,053) and singles (3,215).
Significantly he also made the most outs (10,328), and the biggest one is that he is out of the Hall of Fame! Banned! He is still denied induction for betting on baseball including his own team—at least not against
For many of the people whose names and accomplishments are etched on the walls among the other “legends” in their fields, it is considered the greatest achievement of their lives. But their fame and their earthly exploits do not even register a blip on the radar screen of Heaven.
What does the God of Heaven think about baseball, basketball, hockey, football, or even country music? Well, we don’t honestly know because we can’t find those things in the Bible. But we do know what God thinks about faith. We can live, die, and go to heaven without sports, music, or excelling in any other humanly-acclaimed field, but we cannot please God or go to heaven without faith. Heb. 11:6 says, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him (God), for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”
Two words are worth introducing here: ascentia and fiducia. Ascentia is the mental assent–the mental acknowledgment of something’s existence. The demons acknowledge and believe that God exists. Fiducia is more than mental acknowledgment. It involves a trust in something–a giving over to it, a complete believing and acceptance of something. This is the kind of faith that a Christian has in Christ. A Christian, therefore, has fiducia; that is, he has real faith and trust in Christ and not simply an acknowledgment that He lived on earth at one time. Another way to put this is that many people in the world believed that Jesus lived: ascentia. But they do not believe that He is their savior, the one to whom they should look and trust for the forgiveness of their sins.
Ascentia does not lead to works. Fiducia does. Ascentia is not of the heart. Fiducia is
It's like the parachute analogy you're up in a plane thousands and thousands of feet high the plane's engines catch fire underneath your seat is a parachute are you just going to look at it and believe it will save you or put it on and jump out of the plane to safety? Well of course the answer is obvious isn't it?
to Have your name added to the Hall of heavenly Fame also known as The book of Life
be sure you’re saved. Repent of sin and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:5). Once your name is written in the Book of Life, it is never erased (Revelation 3:5; Romans 8:37-39). No true believer should doubt his eternal security in Christ (John 10:28-30)
