Posted : 1 Aug, 2009 06:00 PM Praise the Holy and Blessed LORD and SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST, In WHOM GOD our Blessed FATHER is and Forever will be Glorified. Peace, Love, Faith, Courage, and Strength be to the saints of GOD. Beloved truly knowing the Heart of GOD, as the Holy Scriptures Reveals the Heart of our LORD, it is plain to see that GOD is About Saving the Souls of People. This is what caused JESUS to come from Glorious Heaven into this evil, sin-filled world. HE came to save sinners. I Tim 1:15 Lu 19:10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. Now that we are saved and called into the ministry beloved, we are apart of this very important Mission of the ALMIGHTY GOD. 1Co 3:9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building. We are no longer our own, for we have been bought with a price. I Corinthians 6:19 So knowing that GOD is not into withholding Good things from those who walk uprightly dear ones. Ps 84:11 For the LORD GOD is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will HE withhold from them that walk uprightly. I ask you, are you willing to remain single a little while longer (or much longer if need be) if you knew that your being single could be instrumental in winning lost souls to CHRIST and encouraging the saints of GOD in the Faith? If GOD has HIS people who are walking in obedience single, it's all for Good Reason. :glow: And knowing GOD'S Heart and HIS desire for souls to be saved. I would personally conclude that saving souls has a whole lot to do with it. Praise the LORD. :applause: Something to think about. Consider in what ways GOD has used you thus far as a single person. Posted : 2 Aug, 2009 09:20 AM ok my brother now i ask you,what if as strong as you are in your walk you still fall short of being complete as in reaching certin souls though a shortcoming by no fault of your own.now the ONE who knows all sends to you the same as He sent to adam one to make you complete and with this the # of souls you have access to doubles and now the work you can do for your Lord is awesome.so then would you give up beingl single for the chance to be complete for your God? Posted : 7 Aug, 2009 12:56 PM I felt this way at one tine in my walk with Christ, thinkin there was a spiritual need to be alone. After much paryer and seeking God, He let me know, He was working on me and getting me ready for my husband. So I could be a Godly wife and not like the one in Proverbs. Now I'm making myself available in many ways, waiting to be found so I can be that good thing in my husbands life. Here is what Jesus says about this concept when his disciples were concerned whether or not they should get married after He talked to the people about adultry and divorce. Matthew19: 9 �And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery. 10 �His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry. 11 �But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given. 12 �For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it. Then Paul says to us in 1 Corinthians 7: 6 �But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment. 7 �For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that. 8 �I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I. 9 �But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn. 28 �But and if thou marry, thou hast not sinned; and if a virgin marry, she hath not sinned. Nevertheless such shall have trouble in the flesh: but I spare you. Remember this, in all your getting, get understanding. John 5:39 �Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. 2 Timothy 2:15 �Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Posted : 7 Aug, 2009 06:37 PM as the scriptures point out...a single person CAN serve the Lord better than a married person can but it is a choice that we make and it is no sin to get married or stay single. I would say to any brother or sister wanting to stay single for the kingdom or the Lord, more power to you. God will reward you for you sacrifice. If you choose to stay single, you have done what is better but not everyone can handle being single and if you cant, then get hitched, be satisfied and serve the Lord as best you can. Post Reply
