I apologize if I offend anyone, but I refuse to compromise God's Word for anything. The hearts of men are deceitfully wicked, so I cannot trust in emotionalism. The Bible says there seemeth a way right to a man but that leads to death. Don't trust in yourself, but God and His Word. Jesus is the head of His church. Notice God is always referred to in masculine form. Notice there are NO angels referenced ever in the Bible as being female in appearance. People are so indoctrinated by their society that instead of using the Bible as the source everything should be compared to, they use the world. It is an HONORABLE thing to be a women or man of God. Both roles are divine. As Christians, we are apart of the Bride of Christ.
Feminism is also a lie from the pit of Hell. Notice in our society the surge of homosexuality and immasculation of men? Women seem to always want a man they can control. This has nothing to do with equality. In today's society, we see that women have dominant rights over men, which is absurd. This movement is also tied to the Rockerfellers and their goal for a New World Order. Satan comes as an angel of light, so it's no surprise that he will use carnality and feel-good tactics to appeal to mass society.
The woman of virtue in scripture is very honorable. I mean, why wouldn't they want to be in that position, where they can take care of the children, and aid their husband? They are the divine caretakers and givers of life.
Satan wants to impale males from their birthright. And that is to be bold leaders. He loves to pervert the nature of God's creation. He hates God more than anything, and what better way than to cripple the spiritual leaders?
Does anyone have an opinion on this issue? This female friend of mine wants to be a pastor and I've been trying to show her through the Word that it's not ordained by God. So can her ministry be blessed by God? I know that God can work in spite of our mistakes, because He is rich in mercy.
i personally happen to believe that woman (as man) was created in the perfect image of god, and that as much as they are unique and beautifully different from man they do have just as much potential and ability and should be allowed to make use of it.
if we look in genesis, when woman was created it states that god saw man, and saw that there was no suitable helper for him, and that it was not good for him to be alone, and therefore caused man to fall into a deep sleep and created eve using a rib from adam's side. woman was created to help man, to work alongside him, and to serve god with him.
now, looking ahead to some of paul writings (which MANY people use as "proof" that women should not be allowed to be actively involved in church etc...where he is talking to one of the churches at the time and addressing some issues of unruliness in the church. he also says that women should not speak in church, should wear head coverings etc...if we look at this in context however (not only of the surrounding text, but to whom it was written, when it was written etc) we discover that he was advising them to observe certain cultural practices at that time so as to avoid distruption in their church meetings...he was not giving them commands from god that were the be all and end all of how christian women should behave.
i have to leave in a minute, so im not going to say much more, but i am going to leave you with this...
if we are to say that women shouldnt be pastors, well where does that stop? why only pastors? perhaps they shouldnt be bankers, worship leaders, nursery workers, administrators, childrens workers, missionaries...the list goes on.
i believe that a woman should be able to be/do whatever GOD CALLS her to...i have known more than a couple of female pastors in my life and been significantly blessed by each one, so there is no question that god can and does use women in positions of ministry and authority today. going back to the beginning of my post, god created woman just as much in his image as man, and they were created with just as much potential, ability to dream, desires etc...would god not want them to be able to fulfill those desires, passions, and potentials?! i believe the answer is absolutely YES.
Praise the LORD JESUS CHRIST and peace be unto you my dear brother, who posted "Female Pastors"
I can feel where you're coming from and I encourage you to not be moved by the enemy away from the Truth. By the grace of GOD, I've spoken much on this topic (please see page 4 of this forum, the post entitled "women in ministry").
We are in the minority, when it comes to the belief of women not teaching in the church, but since we are on the side of GOD'S WORD, we are the majority. So don't be moved. GOD is Always on the side of HIS WORD, by the which we shall all be judged in the last day. Amen. Praise the LORD.
dear brother called "legendofthecrusifix" I ecourage you to read the few posted i've posted on page 4 of this forum entitled "women in ministry" you should see that we agree on this issue, as far as I can notice thus far. Peace and Love; and hold to the truth.
THAT WAS A GOOD WORD LEGEND AND GOOD COMMENTS FROM THAD TO.
I MUST SAY THAT I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU GUYS, NOWADAYS, PEOPLE TEND TO COMPROMISE THE TRUTH IN ORDER TO PLEASE THEMSELVES.
AS HARSH AS IT SOUNDS AND FEELS, THE BIBLE HAS CLEARLY STATED IN SEVERAL DIFFRENT SECTIONS THAT WOMEN ARE NOT TO TEACH, BUT TO CHILD BEAR, TO SUBMIT AND SO ON. IVE LISTED SOME VERSES BELOW THAT RELATE TO THE TOPIC.
1 Timothy 2:11-15
Let a woman learn quietly with all submissiveness. I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet. For Adam was formed first, then Eve; and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor. Yet she will be saved through childbearingif they continue in faith and love and holiness, with self-control.
Titus 2:3-5
Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.
1 Corinthians 14:34-35
The women should keep silent in the churches. For they are not permitted to speak, but should be in submission, as the Law also says. If there is anything they desire to learn, let them ask their husbands at home. For it is shameful for a woman to speak in church.
AS SAID EARLIER, DESPITE HOW HARSH IT SOUNDS AND FEELS, THE BOTTOM LINE IS THAT IT IS OUR CREATORS WORDS. AS WRITTEN IN JAMES 2:10, IF WE KEEP ALL OF GODS LAW BUT STUMBLE ON A SINGLE POINT, HOWEVER SMALL, WE WILL THEN BE GUILTY OF STUMBLING ON ALL HIS COMMANDMENTS, MAKING US TRANSGRESSORS.
Well now you can hear from a woman. I believe that women should not be pastors. In Timothy chapter 3, God gives us the qualifications for the overseers for the His Church. Yes, of course God can and had use women in ministry but, pastors are supposed to be men. God made men to be spiritual "leaders." I agree that women have messed it all up by choosing to take on the role of men in all areas. Our current day society is a testimony to this.
Thanks Thaddeus, I saw your thread. I'll check it out!
Thank you also lady for your input.
I think as much as this idea sounds very "divisive" to most people, we have to defend it. The Devil is so clever and wants to blur the line of God's truth.
Praise the LORD JESUS CHRIST. Thanks for your imput dear sister.
We who take this stance are not at all against women (I can speak for me personally), we are just For the Truth. GOD'S WORD is TRUTH. (John 17:17) Amen.
