I think the surgeon general should put a warning on chewing gum packets

but anyway this is what I'm really driving @......

If you are addicted to cigarettes, are you going to hell?

i say no you’re not going to hell if you’re addicted to cigarettes. The Christian’s salvation is not dependent upon how good or bad he is. Salvation is dependent upon the faithfulness of Christ, not if you smoke cigarettes. Though some sins are worse than others, we need to repent of all sins. Remember, Jesus bore all our sins in His body on the cross (1 Pet. 2:24) and we are saved by grace through faith, not grace, and being good

I'm going to peek in from time to time to see what the responses are just like the rest of you do

According to studies done by Harvard University

It gets people hooked on cigarettes, but researchers hope that nicotine and related compounds will have therapeutic uses.

Nicotine is rightly reviled because of its associations with smoking and addiction. But the rogue substance has a wide range of effects on the brain, which may include some healing properties. Researchers are testing nicotine and related compounds as treatments for Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and other conditions

............ well that includes painkillers too

Some people question whether or not it is appropriate for a Christian to take pain medication, since it may affect perception, alter awareness, influence consciousness, or cause physical addiction. We must remember that the Bible does not expressly forbid medicine. medications are not inherently evil. In fact, the Bible speaks of Timothy’s need to “use a little wine” for his illness (1 Timothy 5:23). And Luke was a doctor (Colossians 4:14). So there is nothing wrong with the use of medicine it is the abuse that is wrong and what the Bible would condemn

The Christian depends on God for everything, to take away a stony heart of unbelief, and to give a heart of flesh, and a new Spirit, to write all His right ways in us, and to give eyes to see with, ears to hear with, and the mind of Christ to understand with. To have Gods love shed into the heart, with a good conscience and the evil conscience taken away.

God is the judge and gave us His judgments, they are accepted by all who have been transformed by Christ, resisted by those who have not.

That's why we are told in the Gospel, if we seek to save our life we shall lose it. Doctors are in this life, and help to save lives, but all that is in this world is temporary, and is not of God and passes away, and the best anyone helps us with is with a shadow, with sparks and with broken vessels..

1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

2 Corinthians 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Mark 8:35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.

For me it was the other way around chewing gum helped me to give up the cigs...☺️

I dont believe smoking is a one way ticket to hell, but I think as a Christian you should try & not harm your body.

Smoking, overindulging in food, or alcohol being slovenly are all unhealthy and the cause of many untimely deaths...:-)

the Bible tells us not to be mastered by anything

1 Cor. 6:12, “All things are lawful for me, but not all things are profitable. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be mastered by anything

everything should be done in moderation and shouldn't become my stumbling block idle to others around us least we cause them to fall

look after our body and the body of others, is the love of God, hurting killing them, (inc passive smoking) is the love of the devil..

Ephesians 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
