John 6 verses 28 - 47
28Therefore they said to Him, “What must we do, that we may be doing the works of God?”
29Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you should believe in Him whom He has sent.”
30Therefore they said to Him, “Then what sign are You doing, that we may see and may believe You? What work do You perform? 31Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, as it is written: ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’c”
32Therefore Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, Moses has not given you the bread from heaven, but My Father gives you the true bread from heaven. 33For the bread of God is the One coming out of heaven and giving life to the world.”
34Therefore they said to Him, “Sir, always give to us this bread.”
35Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; the one coming to Me never shall hunger, and the one believing in Me never shall thirst at any time. 36But I said to you that you have also seen Me, and yet do not believe.
37All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one coming to Me, I shall not cast out. 38For I have come down from heaven, not that I should do My will, but the will of the One having sent Me.
39Now this is the will of the One having sent Me, that all that He has given Me, I should lose none of it, but will raise it up in the last day. 40For this is the will of My Father, that everyone beholding the Son and believing in Him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up in the last day.”
41Therefore the Jews were grumbling about Him because He said, “I am the bread having come down from heaven.” 42And they were saying, “Is this not Jesus the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How then does He say, ‘I have come down from heaven?’”
43Jesus answered and said to them, “Do not grumble with one another. 44No one is able to come to Me unless the Father, the one having sent Me, draws him, and I will raise him up in the last day. 45It is written in the prophets: ‘And they will all be taught of God.’d Everyone having heard from the Father and having learned, comes to Me. 46Not that anyone has seen the Father, except the One being from God; He has seen the Father.
47Truly, truly, I say to you, the one believing has eternal life.

Eternal life for the redeemed believer is a free gift straight from God. Men receive it by faith alone.
A sinner cannot do any kind of work, nor exert any kind of effort in order to earn salvation and eternal life.
I sometimes mess with people a little when I say, “salvation is only achieved by human works and by human effort.”
At that point, I have to talk really fast because too many people don’t seem to realize that someone had to pay an ENORMOUS awesome price for someone else’s salvation.
Yes, salvation and eternal life comes only by human works of Almighty God who came to earth in human form to carry out that work.
The difference between the perfect “human” work of God in his humble human form and the “human” work of man is sin. The works of sinful man are good for nothing but hell.
Only the holy pure sinless works of Jesus the Messiah are acceptable to HOLY God.
That’s why men clothed ONLY in the garments of Jesus the Messiah’s righteous works can stand before our Holy God

thats right, man is good for nothing full of evil and unruly poison on his tongue:

Anyone can see quiznos and littledavid worked together to steer their deceit here today, and in fact it is one person and will be banned eventually, but by God.
Demanding of me to answer about salvation and accusing me to not answer before I even saw a question. Sure Jesus is in that person. Then they revealed their deceits purpose was to begin giving a chapter that Jesus taught the Jews to believe in Jesus to do the works of God.
Naturally the deceiver cannot show how the Jews could not believe, as they needed eyes given to see with and needed to be the Sheep as Jesus also told to them, THIS DECEIVING QUIZNOSLITTLE CANT EVEN READ THEIR OWN ATTEMPT THEY POSTED ?
John 6:45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.
Is that clear enough for you now littlequiznos, they are required as told by Jesus, to HEAR, (for the deceiver I have to explain all, so hear means given ears to hear with)
But the Jews who were told to believe in Christ to do the works of Christ cannot hear or see..
John 12:40 He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.
The Jews could not be the Sheep of God, because AGAIN, the sheep of Christ hear His voice..
John 10:25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.
26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

Adam you have been asked many times to explain salvation but to this date you refuse.
All you can do is quote large portions of scripture ripped from their contexts, some taken from here and some taken from there. Then you paste them all together to create a false context of your own making.
Once again, your latest post avoids explaining the specifics about what it means to be saved.
Is that because biblical salvation threatens your perfectionism false belief?
I have shown you the steps of salvation many times yet you can’t/won’t recognize them. In fact, in your last post, you refer to them (the very teachings of Jesus) as false teachings
