In Romans 7, Holy Apostle Paul declares the law Spiritual, but himself carnal.
First what we notice then is no comparison of Spiritual with Spiritual.
What we see is Apostle Paul comparing carnal with carnal.
We see the conclusion of that carnality, is sin dwelling in us...
Romans 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

When someone is carnal, they have a spirit in them, and as told above in 1 Corinthians 2:12, we have the spirit of the world before we are given the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
Before this in 1 Corinthians 2:11, we see the spirit of the world in a man, is the spirit of man which is in him. That is man, carnal man unable to compare spiritual with spiritual, not able to understand spiritually..
1 Corinthians 2:11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
That spirit in man of this world, is described here in James 4, that spirit lusts to envy.
That spirit in man is the devil, that devil spirit flees from us when God gives us the grace of His Holy Spirit into us to now understand and now do what is Spiritual..
James 4:5 Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?
6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Above in Romans 7, Holy Apostle Paul mentioned sin dwelling in him when carnal.
Paul in Romans 7, only spoke of being carnal, not of being Spiritual, and of sin dwelling in him.
Now the question is, can satan ( the man and spirit of sin) dwell in us and God dwell in us at the same time ?
The answer is, when the Spirit dwells in us, the temple (body) is Holy now, and to make that temple unholy and defile it is to be destroyed by God..
1 Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
If sin dwells in us, and we are carnal, and nothing mentioned about being Spiritual. Can we still mix the temple of God with idols?
God dwells in us, and wants us to be separate, light separated from darkness, unrighteousness (sin ) separated from righteousness (Holiness) how can Christ be where satan is in that carnal man ?
2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Then we see what Christ actually did, showing how satan does not cast out satans spirit out of a man, God casts that spirit out.
If satan was in a man and God was in a man at the same time, the kingdoms of God and satan are divided.
satan was the strong man armed inside of men, but God is stronger and overcame him, and took his armour away casting him out of men.
Luke 11:17 But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth.
18 If Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye say that I cast out devils through Beelzebub.

Also if that unclean, evil spirit of darkness does return to a man, then the state of that man is worse than ever.
The mans body is cleaned, but the evil spirit returns with multiple evil spirits to dwell in that man..
Luke 11:24 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.

How many believers in Christ go to a church, and trust a pastor, who teaches them that they are sinners ?
The whole world, instead of being taught to overcome satan, as above to believe in, in Luke 11, they are overcome themselves by the pollutions of the world ( the spirit of the world in man, remember) They turn from the Holiness being deceived that, that is the cleansing from unrighteousness, to be free to return to their vomit and muck..
2 Peter 2:20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

This is all why the message is told to be declared to them, because they are carnal and not able to be told spiritual.
This is spiritual, to compare with spiritual. God is light, which is without darkness.
We cannot walk with God in darkness, that is not the truth, as the truth dwells in us, the Spirit of truth dwelling in us which those with the spirit of the world cannot receive nor understand to compare Spiritual with Spiritual..

They become guilty of the body and blood of Christ, drinking damnation to themselves, because they refused to examine themselves, and did not fear the example God gave one time of many dying among them..

Adam, you deceive people with your false postings, yet the one you have deceived the most is yourself.
You actually believe that you do not sin, yet all you have been doing on this site is to sin, by posting subjects you made up, then finding as many Scripture as possible to fit the subject.

quiznoslittle, the thread is answering your confusion on Romans 7 and 1 John 1, apparantly you show hypocrisy to support out of context articles, yet when a person addresses that same article, you find it false this time. Double standards from a double identity.

The Pharisee looks only on the outside appearance, to wash and the hands become filthy again.
God made the inside Pharisees, it is where God dwells.
Having a giving heart from God makes all things cleaned to us.

Here is the teaching of righteousness for the pharisee.
If a person cleans only to become filthy again, what does it profit ?
Does saying Christ makes you clean and sees you as clean even when you do evil, hurting others and serving your own lusts, mean you are clean, or mean you cannot learn righteousness?
If you say you have faith but no works, the pharisee claims that saves them.
But the same way as being cleansed superficially is no cleaning as we hear from Christ, to say be fed and warmed is nothing real at all unless you actually do the things for real, which is cleansing the iniquity away..
James 2:14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
James 2:16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
Her is that cleansing of the iniquity away, clean water sprinkled onto us, a new heart given to us, a new Spirit given to us, the stony heart of iniquity taken away, to cause us to walk in Gods statutes and to keep and do His judgments now..
Ezekiel 36:25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.
26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
This then is not for the pharisees, they cannot even understand what it means to cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, to perfect holiness in the fear of God.
WHY ?
Because they deny the new heart of flesh, they deny the Holy Spirit, they deny perfecting, they deny fearing God, they actually deny all..
2 Corinthians 7:1 Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
God predicted the pharisees, the generation pure on the outside but not cleansed by Gods cleansing to the inside as they remain in their filthiness..
Proverbs 30:12 There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.
13 There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up.
The pharisee also denies God will destroy all who transgress His righteousness of the law.
WHY?
Because they believe in returning to their vomit, the fool is wise in deceit, but returns to his folly, the superficially wicked are exposed, God speaks peace to His saints but they cannot return again to their folly as the fool does..
Psalm 85:8 I will hear what God the Lord will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly.
Proverbs 26:10 The great God that formed all things both rewardeth the fool, and rewardeth transgressors.
11 As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a fool returneth to his folly.
12 Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? there is more hope of a fool than of him.
Finally the mocking pharisee is rejected by his speaking of great words of vanity, when people are cleansed and escaped from the devil, the devil promises them freedom in Christ. These are servants of sin openly declaring themselves, servants of corruption, and despise the right way to escape from the polluttions of serving sin, and ourselves which is hatred, to tun to Christ with a new cleansed heart and spirit to lay your life down as Christ did with Him in you.
But they turn away from the way of righteousness, the Holy commandment to be Holy with the Holy God, the poharisee turns to his vomit again and his filth..
2 Peter 2:18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.
19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.
20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

I forgot to remind the ones who are not deceived by the deceivers, though it really is to simple to rebuke the blind, when anyone says they are a believer yet they do what shows unbelief, they are already declared as wicked persons, and we to have nothing to do with them..
