LOOK UNTO the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of THE PIT WHENCE YE ARE DIGGED.

Look to who was called alone...
Isaiah 51: Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the Lord: look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of THE PIT WHENCE YE ARE DIGGED.
2 Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.
Abraham (called alone) walked in the steps of faith, being yet uncircumcised..
Romans 4:11 And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:
12 And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had being yet uncircumcised.
The promise of the Lords salvation by faith is sure to all, through the faith of Abraham who is the father of all. The father of many nations, against hope believing in hope, to become the father of many nations, and his seed shall be the sasme, for we afre saved by hope, and with patience wait for it..
Romans 4:16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,
17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.
18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.
Romans 8:24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
So a man looks to his maker with respect to the Holy One of Israel..
Isaiah 17:7 At that day shall a man look to his Maker, and his eyes shall have respect to the Holy One of Israel.
Looking unto Jesus, (our maker) who endured the cross, and took all of the shame, then raised up to the right hand of the throne of God, and we consider Him, and the Lords chastening, to resist unto blood and to stride against sin (although mockers would hate this thought) Enduring the chastening, then the Lord can deal with us as sons who are exercised to bring forth the Lords righteousness, or if without being made a son of the Lord (in righteousness) then are we NOTHING and NOT SONS...
Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto JESUS THE AUTHOR and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
4 Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.
5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bas-tards, and not sons.
Hebrews 12:11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
Continuing to look to Jesus. Man is made low, to afterwards, be crowned with glory and honour.
Seeing Jesus, made low to suffer death, then crowned with glory and honour, who tasted death for all by His grace, to be made and to perfect all through sufferings, Jesus who made all things and for whom are all things..
Hebrews 2:6 But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man that thou visitest him?
7 Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:
8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.
9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
Though Jesus was a Son, the Son of God who is God, He learned ( to show to us ) obedience by the things which He suffered, being made perfect (for us to follow) and the author of eternal salvation and the author and finisher of our faith unto all that OBEY HIM( obey same example and way)..
Hebrews 5:7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;
8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
9 And being made perfect, HE BECAME THE AUTHOR OF ETERNAL SALVATION unto all them that obey him;
The Lord then is set up on high, in love to lay the flesh life down, then crowned with honour, and obtains salvation for all..
Psalm 91:14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
Jesus is persecuted by the mockers and accusers, smitten of God, they gave grief to Him who bore our griefs, who was wounded and made poor and SORROWFUL, which sets the Lord God on high. The affliction also is how we keep the word of the Lord and no more sheep going astray..
Isaiah 53:4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
Psalm 119:67 Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word.
1 Peter 2:25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.
Psalm 69:26 For they persecute him whom thou hast smitten; and they talk to the grief of those whom thou hast wounded.
27 Add iniquity unto their iniquity: and let them not come into thy righteousness.
28 Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous.
29 But I am poor and sorrowful: let thy salvation, O God, set me up on high.
Again we are brought low through AFFLICTION AND SORROW, these poor (in spirit who are blessed) are also set on high( with Jesus) blessed in Heavenly places with all spiritual blessings( all given to walk as Jesus) to be holy and without blame before Him in the shown love of God, raising us up together with Christ Jesus to sit together with Him in Heavenly places in Jesus Christ.
Jesus then receives His family like a flock, ALL INIQUITY STOPS HER MOUTH, but the righteous see it and rejoice, to understand the lovingkindness of the Lord...
Psalm 18:33 He maketh my feet like hinds' feet, and setteth me upon my high places. Habakkuk 3:19
Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Ephesians 2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
Psalm 107:39 Again, they are minished and brought low through oppression, affliction, and sorrow.
40 He poureth contempt upon princes, and causeth them to wander in the wilderness, where there is no way.
41 Yet setteth he the poor on high from affliction, and maketh him families like a flock.
42 The righteous shall see it, and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth.
43 Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the Lord.
God we seek unto then, who does all these great unsearchable things, to send the rain low to the earth, so it gets sent up on high, to give drink to the thirsty, and lift His mourners away from the dryness of the earths dry hopes, to disappoint the crafty, the forward is taken in their own craftiness, who can see with darkened eyes and darkened counsel, the poor of the Lord are saved from their MOUTH, then the poor can hope against hope, and all iniquity again is stopped from its mouth..
Job 5:8 I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause:
9 Which doeth great things and unsearchable; marvellous things without number:
10 Who giveth rain upon the earth, and sendeth waters upon the fields:
11 To set up on high those that be low; that those which mourn may be exalted to safety.
12 He disappointeth the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise.
13 He taketh the wise in their own craftiness: and the counsel of the froward is carried headlong.
14 They meet with darkness in the day time, and grope in the noonday as in the night.
15 But he saveth the poor from the sword, from their mouth, and from the hand of the mighty.
16 So the poor hath hope, and iniquity stoppeth her mouth.
The Lord God corrects and chastens, to transform bind up and to be made whole..
Job 5:17 Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty:
18 For he maketh sore, and bindeth up: he woundeth, and his hands make whole.
Who has understanding, when we are told we by someone, we clearly have no understanding ? They being in the dark, clearly cannot see,, to get understanding is to find a tree of life, It is rarer then gold and rubies, and is something nobody has. Correction and chastening from the Lord are what brings His understanding, which is pleasantness and peace..
Proverbs 3:11 My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord; neither be weary of his correction:
12 For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.
13 Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.
14 For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold.
15 She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.
16 Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour.
17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.
18 She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.
To retain the words of the Lord God, to keep His commandments to live. That is to get wisdom and to get understanding. To remember His word is to be preserved by them, love them to be kept by them, to learn to be wise, to stop vanity, our own thoughts, exalt the wisdom of the Lord t be exalted in honour with her, to be given the crown of grace and glory, to be delivered from the pit the wicked adversary givers will go to, who have no chastening correction to be taught by the Lord out of His law..
Proverbs 4:4 He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live.
5 Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.
6 Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.
7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
8 Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.
9 She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.
Psalm 94:8 Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye be wise?
9 He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?
10 He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, shall not he know?
11 The Lord knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.
12 Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Lord, and teachest him out of thy law;
13 That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until THE PIT BE DIGGED FOR THE WICKED.
LOOK UNTO the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of THE PIT WHENCE YE ARE DIGGED.

Adam, have you ever written about greatness of Gods salvation from his coming wrath, particularly your own salvation ? I’d be happy to hear about your becoming a Christian
