God DOES speak to His children

I know there are a few that doesn't believe that, but I know the Father does speak, He has to me. I cannot tell you how many times I've lied awake at night with scriptures on my mind and then I open up the Bible, read it and right there those scriptures would be. And I cannot tell you how many I've had a song on my heart, go to church and either hear it sung in the church or on a radio station that plays those bluegrass-style gospel songs, and I love those so much. I'm not saying this to make you feel bad and I'm not trying to judge anyone, but I believe God speaks to His children, and to those that don't hear His voice all I can say is seek Him. Draw nigh unto God and He will draw nigh unto you. Don't give place to the devil. We need to love one and hate the other. We cannot serve two masters. We shouldn't be lukewarm, we should either be hot or cold, not both. And remember that the God we serve is not a stationary nor manmade god like buddha or allah, God is the living, breathing, moving, speaking God, and besides Him there is no other. HE IS THE ONLY GOD. Praise His Holy Name. God bless you and watch over you all. Keep seeking the Father, trusting in Him, and praying to Him in Jesus name. Amen.

Morgan, what does God sound like?

Have you noticed a difference between the voice of God you claim to hear and your inner voice or your conscience? Or do they sound exactly the same? Perhaps they are the same.

Check out scripture, is there any place in the apostle’s letters to the church that instructs believers to expect voices going off inside their heads because that’s God trying to say something?

Morgan, another question for you. Do the voices you hear ever identify themselves? Do they say, “this is God speaking” or “hi there, this is Jesus”?

Morgan, most importantly, you would do well to check specific instances in the Bible for details about God speaking to people.

After closely examining each case, compare your experiences to those.

First, you’ll find that God identifies himself.

Second, if an angel appears to someone, the angel usually identifies himself.

Third, God usually gives the person a miraculous sign or special prophecy.

Fourth, most the time when God or an angel speaks or appears to people it strikes fear into them.

Fifth, God speaking to people in the Bible is rare. It doesn’t happen often. Sometimes God speaks to the same person several times, other times only once. More often than not, there are years between.

Sixth, you should take note of the identities of those people spoken to by God. You should especially note God’s purpose for speaking to each of them.

After you've completed the study and the comparisons, you’ll find the biblical experience is quite distinct from the experience of those claiming to have heard God speaking to them nowadays.

Worse yet, modern experiences are stunningly similarity to psychic experiences or to experiences claimed by mystics who also claim to hear God speaking to them. This similarity alone should give the discerning person some serious pause.

Make sure that whatever you hear does NOT contradict Scripture. If it does in even the smallest of ways, it's NOT God.
