Arny,

When ELOHIM created man, they did not create man as a mindless person, man was given the capacity to think, reason, and to make decisions, as does GOD Almighty.

Romans 12 verse 2, mans mind is to be changed to conform to right thinking, reasoning and decision making according to the Word of GOD Almighty.

Unfortunately some Christians believe anyone applying logic, reason and discernment are not exercising faith!!

Sadly these people are a product of bad thinking or bad preaching or both.

Some believers don’t seem to know that biblical faith is a reasonable and logical faith.

I think they get hung up on the distinction between God’s wisdom and logic and the wisdom (abuse of logic) the world uses in their human reasoning and thinking to justify sin and unbelief.

Too many unlearned babes in Christ believe secular humanists (unbelievers) who claim to legitimately use “logic and reason” to disprove God.

The truth is, God cannot be disproven logically.

I’ve read and heard secular humanists appealing to logic and reason against God. But since reason and logic are creations of God they cannot be used as instruments against him.

So in order to make their case against Christianity, humanists must make up false arguments or borrow unsound arguments used by naive Christians.

David, what you said put me in mind of an article that I read once.

Because Reason is a Good Servant but a Poor Master

I read the article you posted about how our reason can sometimes deceive us. Sorta like cognitive dissonance or confirmation bias does, in that regard.

Logic is supposed to be designed to help us avoid those errors, but atlas, but I’ve seen writers of logic texts violate principles of the laws of logic they just explained.

One logician has an online site inviting audience members to express their comments.

He’s a skilled logician but sometimes his confirmation bias shows up with his instruction.

The nice thing, (at least for his audience), he makes it kinda hard to fool them especially after he just armed them with all the ammo they need to expose his error

GOD Almighty calls His people into a courtroom like session to REASON, or to talk and to decide what they had been doin against Him, and what YHWH will do to those that do not see things His way.

Reasoning / thinking is not bad, it is the outcome of that reasoning / thinking that might be wrong.

Isaiah 1 verses 18 - 20

18 "Come now, and let us reason together," Says the LORD, "Though your sins are as scarlet, They will be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They will be like wool.

19 "If you consent and obey, You will eat the best of the land;

20 "But if you refuse and rebel, You will be devoured by the sword." Truly, the mouth of the LORD has spoken.
