God Gave Him a Frozen Fruit Crop

A farmer, who was a regular church goer, experienced a serous set back when his peach crop froze over.

Suddenly the farmer quit attending church meetings

The absence troubled the farmer’s minister who decided to pay the farmer a visit and encourage him.

The embittered farmer responded by saying, “how can I worship a God who cares so little about me that he allows my peach business to freeze over?”

The minister thought awhile and then responded calmly.

“You’re right”, the minister replied, “God knows peaches grow better without frosts, but God also knows men grow better with frosts.

God is in the business of growing men, not peaches.”

The short story kinda reminds me of myself.

How quickly I fail to worship in times of trouble.

But then I remember Job, who was much more righteous and suffered so MUCH MUCH more then me.

He chose to worship God in all his trouble. He declared, “the Lord gives and the Lord takes away—-blessed be the name of the Lord”

Even in the mist of pain, we can have full confidence in God. The most important part of each day is the time we spend alone with the Lord.

No matter how He chooses to handle our problems, His solution is always in our best interest.

Believers will face many types of hindrances in our life but we have God to encourage us with His love and guidance.
