Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees

Here Christ takes opportunity to teach the Apostles the correct higher way of thinking.
They display what lack of faith is, which is reasoning about things of this life and of earthly bread and considerations.
They were not permitted previously to know, when seven loaves fed four thousand, seven baskets were taken up, and when five thousand were fed by five loaves, twelve baskets were left over.
This separates between the faithless teachings and doings of the Pharisees, and between the ways of Christ now.
Matthew 16:7 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread.
8 Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread?
9 Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?
10 Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?
11 How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees?
12 Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.
The way is reminded for us also by the Apostle Paul.
Equality with the Lord, sharing and surity to be provided for.
God having testified to Israel and proven His ways to them.
Manna, the bread from Heaven was given to Israel.
Whoever gathered too much, had nothing left over, but who gathered too little, had enough.
Jesus shows how from small amounts, they feed everybody and still have much left over, that there will be a supply for anyone in need. Israel could have nothing left over, Christ has more to give..
2 Corinthians 8:14 But by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for their want, that their abundance also may be a supply for your want: that there may be equality:
15 As it is written, He that had gathered much had nothing over; and he that had gathered little had no lack.
Exodus 16:15 And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the bread which the Lord hath given you to eat.
16 This is the thing which the Lord hath commanded, Gather of it every man according to his eating, an omer for every man, according to the number of your persons; take ye every man for them which are in his tents.
17 And the children of Israel did so, and gathered, some more, some less.
18 And when they did mete it with an omer, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack; they gathered every man according to his eating.
So we see why they ate that bread in the wilderness, so they die, as it is not the bread of life.
This bread also has left over, it does more, if we eat this bread we do not die, He is the bread of life...
John 6:48 I am that bread of life.
49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.
50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.
51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees

The isrealites wondered in the wilderness because they were disobedient to God . They all died out there and didn't get to enjoy the Promise land , is this Correct?
God is good, today no one shall perish if they except the Messiah as their personal saviour!!
God is merciful and sent His Son, Jesus to die for the sins of Mankind !!!
Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees

Awesome Adam7777, the KJV verses you copied are nice reminders of the entire context you cut them from.
But there’s a problem. Your comments, sandwiched between the verses, are in error
I’ll copy and paste a portion of your thread.
I’ll also note the inconsistency between the Bible verse you copied and your problematic comments by using >>>> <<<< marks to note the problem.
Quoting Adam7777 >>>>They were not permitted previously to know<<<<, when seven loaves fed four thousand, seven baskets were taken up, and when five thousand were fed by five loaves, twelve baskets were left over.” End Adam7777’s quote
Matthew 16:7 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread.
8 Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread?
9 Do ye not yet understand, >>>>neither remember<<<< the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?
Adam, the disciples knew but apparently forgot. Jesus even chided them for not understanding and remembering.
It’s not like you say, “They were not permitted previously to know...” because previously they knew because they saw what happened,
Adam, it’s very important to make sure your teaching lines up with the verses you quote.
Sorry about blowing up your doctrine of perfectionism again.
But if you want to prove you’re really perfect, stop teaching wrong stuff!! Perfect people don’t teach things full of errors. That’s known as false teaching. And false teaching is a sin
I would help you find other errors in your comments but don’t have the time this session
