Oh here we go again!!

How many times has yours truly EARNESTLY tried to convince you guys to EXAMINE (at least look at) the entire context (in the Bible)of a verse before just abruptly, outa the blue just start quoting RIPPED out portions of estranged verses from their original contexts !!??

Now, I realize this piece of advice will probably also go unheeded—like all the others.

But who’s gonna step forward with an >>explanation<< of what (IN THIS CONTEXT—Matt&Luke mean when they say to agree with your adversary??? WHAT ADVERSARY!!!?? WHICH ADVERSARY??! Satan is an adversary, do you agree with him???? A false teacher is an adversary, do you agree with HIM!!??

PRAY-TELL!! WHO do YOU agree with!!??

Legal Advice from Jesus- Matthew 5:25, Luke 12:58

Matthew 5 verses 17 - 26

17 Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I have not come to abolish them, but to fulfill them.

18 For I tell you truly, until heaven and earth pass away, not a single jot, not a stroke of a pen, will disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.

19 So then, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do likewise will be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever practices and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

21 You have heard that it was said to the ancients, ‘Do not murder,’ and ‘Anyone who murders will be subject to judgment.’

22 But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, ‘Raca,’ will be subject to the Sanhedrin.f But anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be subject to the fire of hell.g

23 So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your gift there before the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift.

25 Reconcile quickly with your adversary, while you are still on the way to court. Otherwise, he may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison.

26 Truly I tell you, you will not get out until you have paid the last penny.

Luke 12 verses 41 - 59

41 “Lord,” said Peter, “are You addressing this parable to us, or to everyone else as well?”

42 And the Lord answered, “Who then is the faithful and wise manager, whom the master puts in charge of his servants to give them their portion at the proper time

43 Blessed is that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns.

44 Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions.

45 But suppose that servant says in his heart, ‘My master will be a long time in coming,’ and he begins to beat the menservants and maidservants, and to eat and drink and get drunk.

46 The master of that servant will come on a day he does not expect and at an hour he does not anticipate. Then he will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the unbelievers.

47 That servant who knows his master’s will but does not get ready or follow his instructions will be beaten with many blows.

48 But the one who unknowingly does things worthy of punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be required; and from him who has been entrusted with much, even more will be demanded.

49 I have come to ignite a fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled!

50 But I have a baptism to undergo, and how distressed I am until it is accomplished!

51 Do you think that I have come to bring peace to the earth? No, I tell you, but division.

52 From now on, five in one household will be divided, three against two and two against three.

53 They will be divided, father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.h”

54 Then Jesus said to the crowds, “As soon as you see a cloud rising in the west, you say, ‘A shower is coming,’ and that is what happens.

55 And when the south wind blows, you say, ‘It will be hot,’ and it is.

56 You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and sky. Why don’t you know how to interpret the present time?

57 And why don’t you judge for yourselves what is right? 58 Make every effort to reconcile with your adversary while you are on your way to the magistrate. Otherwise, he may drag you off to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and the officer may throw you into prison.

59 I tell you, you will not get out until you have paid the very last penny.

In Matthew there can be two adversaries,

1. The Law

2. Your brother; Now is this brother a believer OR just another person.

The real adversary to man is GOD Almighty, that is until a person trusts Messiah to save them, thus protecting them from the wrath of GOD Almighty.
