If this is so, then Ezekiel 34, and Jeremiah 23 must be speaking to this new Israel. Where do these people come up with such nonsense. Post Reply

It’s called ”Supersessionism” but some theologians prefer terms like “replacement theology“ or “fulfillment theology” but they basically refer to the same thing. Supersessionism is the view the church has replaced Israel!! One author further explains: “It may take the form of “punitive supersessionism,” i.e., God is punishing Israel for her rejection of Christ. Or it may be in the form of “economic supersessionism,” i.e., it was God’s plan for Israel’s role as the people of God to expire with the coming of Christ and be replaced by the church. The final form of supersessionism is “structural supersessionism,” i.e., the OT Scriptures are largely indecisive in formulation of Christian conviction about God’s work as consummator and redeemer.” End quote Enough on that for now but the following verse destroys pretty much most of supersessionism "For I do not want you, brethren, to be uninformed of this mystery, lest you be wise in your own estimation, that a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in; 26 and thus all Israel will be saved; just as it is written, 'The Deliverer will come from Zion, he will remove ungodliness from Jacob,'” (Rom. 11:25-26). Throughout the Old Covenant, we see the relationship GOD Almighty has with Israel, just read Hosea. Post Reply
