Do you believe the word of God takes precedence over “the doctrines of men”? There are dozens of NT verses, which are written to teach Christians and warn them that salvation is a co-operative effort between them and God. For example, 10+ NT verses say the faith of believers must endure until the end of their lives for them to be saved. The NT teaches that believers have certain responsib-ilities and duties to the Lord God who saved them!
He created humans with a free will to choose to co-operate with Him (i.e. obey Him), or not to.

Maybe your saying salvation depends on human effort plus grace as opposed to the sufficiency of the saving work of Jesus alone which excludes human merit?

Maybe you're confusing Lordship salvation which teaches salvation by grace alone but also teaches that a truly saved person does good works (acts of obedience) according to Ephesians 2:10

I agree some people believe in a “cheap grace” that allows them to continue unhindered in habitual and persistent sin under the antinomian version of “once saved always saved”

Whereas those who believe in **SINLESS PERFECTION** believe that we have to earn our salvation and eternal life by doing **GOOD WORKS** and being **SINLESS** and that the only eternal reward is gaining eternal life by what we do; and if we commit even one small sin after we are saved we will loose our salvation and eternal life. And so man and not God becomes the Author and Finisher of our salvation.
