Luke 24 verses 45 - 48
Posted : 19 May, 2020 03:23 PM

Here are a few verses from the Scriptures from a few different translations.

Does anyone see anything different between the translations.

Look at verse 47 a bit more closely.

45 Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.

46 And He told them, “This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day,

47 and in His name repentance and forgiveness of sins will be proclaimed to all nations, beginning in Jerusalem.

48 You are witnesses of these things.

KJV

45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

48 And ye are witnesses of these things.

NASB

45 Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures,

46 and He said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ would suffer and rise again from the dead the third day,

47 and that repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

48 “You are witnesses of these things.

ESV

45 Then opened he their mind, that they might understand the scriptures;

46 and he said unto them, Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer, and rise again from the dead the third day;

47 and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name unto all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

48 Ye are witnesses of these things.

What is the deal with you dude? Your always trying to pick a fight with different Bible translations!!!

Look its not rocket science Quizzy! when one or more translations says "Repentance AND forgiveness of sins" its all the same. What must you do in order to be forgiven for your sins? You REPENT! What happens when your repent of your sins? Your forgiven from all your past sins to that moment in time but not the future because you don't even know what your sins are yet in the future, IF IF IF you elect to sin that is! So its simple, Repent AND AND AND your sins are forgiven! See how simple that was Quizzy?

What about the other translations that say "Repentance FOR the forgiveness of sins"??? Well this is a big DUUUUUUUHHHH! is it not Quizzy??? Some translations are easier to read for SOME people, got it? But they are ALL ALL ALL saying the same thing!!! I cannot believe I even had to post this fundamental truth that every Christian already knows to you!

NO NO NO that some translations are claiming "WORKS" and some claiming "GRACE" so wake up from your slumber dude! Good grief!!! I'm sorry, I mean SAD GRIEF!

I got to go back to work, don't know when I will be back to check this "interesting" nightmare of a thread again!?

Hugs,

Maybe the post was too hard for you to understand.

What is necessary for a person to be forgiven, repenting of their sin, OR Messiah taking their sin( ALL of that persons sin, past, present and future sin ) upon Himself, going to the cross where that sin was judged in His body.

Then the Father casting the sin into the sea to be remembered NO MORE.

The person REPENTS of UNBELIEF by trusting Messiah to save them from the WRATH of GOD Almighty.

All of the sin of each and every person was laid upon Messiah, who gave His life just ONE TIME, for that sin to be COMPLETELY forgiven before the person was born.

A person is not condemned because of sin,but UNBELIEF.

I guess your 'spirit in your head" does not tell you to understand ALL translations are good to go in study, just SOME better for SOME people. I see you avoided responding to that! There is NO translation that teaches WORKS saves anyone because it DOES NOT!

Every Christian knows repentance IS required when ever a persons sins. Somebody pinch me, I thinks I'm having a conversation with a atheist but that is fine I guess, spread the gospel, right friends? You claim the "Messiah taking" all "sins" at His death for the WHOLE world (TRUE!) but say NOTHING of repentance (like the thief on the pole/tree did) WHEN an UNBELIEVER realizes for the first time they have BROKE YHWH's LAW! I also noticed you said the "Messiah taking their sin" as in everybody is going to heaven then because you did not state ANYTHING about repentance! So therefore according to you the world just needs to BELIEVE, then go on sinning! Everybody wants that kind of Messiah, everybody is going to heaven then, no need for a change in life, just keep doing what the world is doing. Right Quiznos?

Its true that ALL past, present and future sins are forgiven and YHWH KNOWS who is going to repent of those sins WHEN they commit them! See how easy that is? Of course there is ONLY ONE sacrifice for ALL sin! The Bible says where sin is ongoing - "For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth (BELIEF), there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins" Hebrews 10:26! Of course all the sins we repent of are cast into the depths of the sea metaphorically as you say!

A person does not just repent of unbelief without a definition of what they are repenting of, silly Quizzy! What does an unbeliever repent of, sin right? What is sin? Sin IS the transgression of the LAW - 1 John 3:4 (KJV) "Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law." You see Quizzy there is NO unbelief if you don't know what it is you unbelieve of, right? When you first discover His commandments, realize then you broke one of more of them, find out that is the DEFINITION of sin, you either CHOOSE to repent of breaking them (and stop breaking them) or you stay lost and pay the death price for those sins yourself come judgment day in the one day made lake of fire. You see the problem with you Quizzy is you want to do away with the LAW, so you just use the word "UNBELIEF" and never mention the definition of sin! So according to you Quizzy, people are judged one day for their "UNBELIEF" of "UNBELIEF" because you have NO definition other than your circular reasoning!

Here is how it works with you. A person when judged one day by YHWH for their "UNBELIEF" according to you and when they ask what was it I "UNBELIEVED" YHWH? Your "god" would then say because you refused to believe in BELIEF! Even the devil believes like you do Quizzy!

"Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble." James 2:19

Oh and Quizzy, note James is CLEAR there is ONLY ONE CREATOR YaHuWaH! Of course He later (NT) did put a part of Himself , His WORD put in flesh, called it His only begotten Son and gave Him a name Yah'shua! AMEN! John chapter 1 and Isaiah 9:6 !!!

**ARE WE ONLY REDEEEMED AND OUR SINS FORGIVEN BY THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF CHRIST??**

Actually the blood sacrifices of Abel and all the Jews in the Old Testament were only symbolic since we are all saved only by the Blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All blood offerings before the atonement of sins by God alone were just symbolic waiting for the only Divine blood sacrifice that can saves us from our sins/

Hebrews 10:8-10: First He said, "Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings You did not desire, nor were You pleased with them," although the law required them to be made. Then He said, "Here I am, I have come to do Your will." He sets aside the first **TO ESTABLISH THE SECOND**. And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ **ONCE FOR ALL**!!

John 13:34,35: Jesus says, "**A NEW COMMAND** I give you: Love one another **AS I HAVE LOVED YOU**, so you must love one another!" John 15:12,13: "Jesus says, "My command is this: Love each other **AS I HAVE LOVED YOU**. Greater love has no one than this, that **HE LAY DOWN HIS LIFE** for his friends!"

Matthew 26:28: Jesus says, "This is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many **FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS**!"

Galatians 2:18-21: I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me! The life I live in the body, I live by **FAITH** in the Son of God, who loved me and **GAVE HIMSELF FOR ME**!! I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!!

Hebrews 9:12: He entered the Most Holy Place once for all by **HIS OWN BLOOD**, having obtained **ETERNAL REDEMPTION**!

Hebrews 9:22; 26-28: The law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood **THERE IS NO FORGIVENESS**.... But now He has appeared **ONCE FOR ALL** at the end of the ages to do away with sin **BY THE SACRIFICE OF HIMSELF**!! Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, and Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people, and He will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for Him!!

Leviticus 17:11: God says, "For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make **ATONEMENT** for yourselves on the altar ; it is the **BLOOD** that makes **ATONEMENT** for one's life!"

Ephesians 2:13: But now in Christ Jesus you who were once were far away have been brought near **THROUGH THE BLOOD OF CHRIST**!!

Romans 3:21-25: But now a righteousness from God, **APART FROM THE LAW**, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God comes **THROUGH FAITH** in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by **HIS GRACE** through the **REDEMPTION** that came by Christ Jesus. God presented Him as a **SACRIFICE OF ATONEMENT**, **THROUGH FAITH IN HIS BLOOD**!!

Isaiah 1:18: "Come now, let us reason together," says the Lord. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow!!"

Colossians 1:15-20: He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities, all things were created by Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. And He is the **HEAD OF HIS BODY, THE CHURCH**; He is the beginning and the firstborn from the dead, so that is **EVERYTHING HE MIGHT HAVE THE SUPREMACY**. For God was pleased to have all His fullness dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether things **ON EARTH** or things in heaven, by making peace **THROUGH HIS BLOOD**, shed on the cross!!

Colossians 2:13-15: When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you **ALIVE WITH CHRIST**. He forgave us **ALL OUR SINS**, having canceled the written code, with its regulation, that was against us and that stood opposed to us, He took it away, **NAILNG IT TO THE CROSS**!!.

Ephesians 1:3-8; 11: Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with **EVERY** spiritual blessing in Christ. For He chose us in Him before the creation of the world to be holy and **BLAMELESS** in His sight. In love He predestined us to be adopted as His sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will--to the praise of His **GLORIOUS GRACE**, which He has freely given us in the One He loves. In Him we have **REDEMPTION THROUGH HIS BLOOD**, **THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS**, in accordance the riches of God's grace that He lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding!!

I Peter 1:18,19: For you know that was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were **REDEEMED** from the empty way of life handed down to you by your forefathers, but with the **PRECIOUS BLOOD OF CHRIST**, Lamb without blemish or defect!!

I Peter 2:24,25: He Himself **BORE OUR SINS** in His body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness, by **HIS WOUNDS** we are healed {See Isaiah 53:5,6}!! For you were like sheep going astray, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls!!

I Peter 3:18 For Christ **DIED FOR SINS ONCE FOR ALL**, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God!!

I John 2:1,2: My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have One who speaks to the Father in our defense--Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the **ATONING SACRIFICE FOR OUR SINS**, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world!!

I John 4:10-12: This is **LOVE**, not that we loved God, but that He **LOVED** us and sent His Son as an **ATONING SACRIFICE** for our sins. Dear friends, since God so **LOVED** us, we also ought to **LOVE** one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we **LOVE** one another, God **LIVES IN US** and His **LOVE** is made complete in us.

Revelation 1:4,5: Grace and peace to you from Him who is, and who was, and who is to come and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful Witness... To Him who loves us and freed us from our sins **BY HIS BLOOD**!!

NOTE: Jesus Christ our Savior is called the **LAMB** of God **30 TIMES** in the book of Revelation because He did away with all lamb sacrifices for sin by the sacrifice of Himself!!

Revelation 5:6,9: Then I saw a **LAMB**, looking as if it had been slain, standing in the center of the throne...You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals because You were slain, and **WITH YOUR BLOOD** You purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation!!

Revelation 12:11: They overcame him by the **BLOOD OF THE LAMB** and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death!!

Revelation 7:14: These are they who have come out of the Great Tribulation, they have was their robes and made them white in the **BLOOD OF THE LAMB**!!

Isaiah 53:5,6: But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed! We all, like sheep, have gone astray , each of us has turned to his own way, and **THE LORD HAS LAID ON HIM THE INIQUITY OF US ALL**!!

Romans 5:6-10: You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless. Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates His love for us in this: While we were still sinners Christ died for us. Since we are now justified **BY HIS BLOOD**, how much more will we be saved from God's wrath through Him! When we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to Him **THROUGH THE DEATH OF HIS SON**!!

Hugs,

Let me know if i understand you, a person needs to repent of their sins in order to be forgiven, thus forgiveness of sin is based upon you repenting, not Messiah going to the cross.

Next, unblief, all sin ( missing the mark )is the result of unbelief.

Adam and Eve, they missed the mark when Adam added to what GOD Almighty had said to Adam about the tree in the middle of the garden.

Adam tells Eve not to touch the tree and the rest we know what happened.

Did Adam believe what GOD Almighty warned him about,NO.

Now, you seem to believe that GOD Almighty had taken a part of Himself in order to CREATE the Messiah, then your messiah is not independant of GOD Almighty for his Deity as GOD.

Which part of GOD Almighty did He use to create your messiah seeing that He is spirit.

My question is, Does a person repent of sin or Unbelief to be saved, if so, then how much sin needs to be repented of before i will be saved.

How can a person repent of sin before they are saved, as they have no power to do so.

Luke 24 verses 45 - 48
Posted : 20 May, 2020 05:50 AM

**SALVATION IS 100% FREE WHILE ETERNAL HEAVENLY REWARDS ARE 100% EARNED**!!

**SALVATION IS 100% FREE**

Titus 3:3,4: At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. But when the kindness and **LOVE** of God our Savior appeared , He saved us, **NOT BECAUSE OF RIGHTEOUS THINGS WE HAD DONE**, but because of **HIS MERCY**!!

John 1:12,13: To all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, he gave the right to become children of God--children born not of natural descent, **NOR OF A HUMAN DECISION** or a husband's will but, **BORN OF GOD**!!

John 6:37,39,44,65: Jesus says, "**ALL** that the Father gives Me **WILL** come to Me, and whoever comes to Me I will **NEVER** drive away... And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that I shall **LOSE NONE** of all that He has given Me, but raise them up at the Last Day.... No one can come to Me **UNLESS** the Father who sent Me **DRAWS HIM**, and I will raise him up at the Last Day!!... No one can come to Me **UNLESS** the Father has **ENABLED THEM**!!"

Ephesians 2:8,9: For it is by **GRACE** you have been saved, through **FAITH**—and this **NOT FROM YOURSELVES**, it is the **GIFT OF GOD**—not by works. So that no one can boast. For we are **GOD'S WORKMANSHIP**, created in Christ Jesus to do **GOOD WORKS**, which God prepared in advance for us to do!

Romans 12:3: For by the **GRACE GIVEN ME** I say to every one of you. Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourselves with sober judgment, in accordance with the **FAITH GOD HAS DISTRIBUTED TO EACH OF YOU**... We have different gifts, according to the **GRACE GIVEN TO EACH OF US**!!

Romans 9:15,16,18: God says, "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion." It does not, therefore, depend on human desire or effort, but on God's mercy...Therefore God has mercy on whom He wants to have mercy, and He hardens whom He wants to harden. {But God's saints still preach God's Word to everyone}

John 15:16: Jesus says, You did not choose Me, but I **CHOSE YOU**and appointed you so that you might bear **FRUIT**--**FRUIT** that will last!!

Matthew 22:14: Jesus says, "MANY ARE INVITED**, but few are **CHOSEN**!"

Mar 13:20: Jesus says, "If the Lord had not cut short those days, no on would survive, but for the sake of the **ELECT**, whom He has **CHOSEN, He has shortened them!"

{The Lord has shortened the Great Tribulation from 3 1/2 years or 1278 days to 1260 days}

John 13:18: Jesus says, "I am not referring to all of you, I know those I have **CHOSEN**!

Ephesians 1:4-8; 11,12: In love He **PREDESTINED** us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will--to the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the One He loves, In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace that He lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding... In Him we were also **CHOSEN**, having been **PREDESTINED** in accordance to the plan of Him who works out everything in conformity to the purpose of His will, in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be to the **PRAISE OF HIS GLORY**!!

I Thessalonians 1:4: For we know, brothers loved by God, that He has **CHOSEN YOU**, because our Gospel came to you not simply with words but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and deep conviction!

I Peter 2:9: But you are a **CHOSEN PEOPLE**, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you might declare the praise of Him who **CALLED YOU** out of darkness into His wonderful light!!

Revelation 17:14: They will make war against the **LAMB** but the **LAMB** will overcome them because He is **LORD** of lords and **KING** of kings and with Him will be His **CALLED** **CHOSEN** and **FAITHFUL** followers!! {Riding on white horses right after the Marriage Feast of the **LAMB** as per Revelation 19:7-20!}

Romans 6:23: The wages of sin is death, but the **GIFT OF GOD** is **ETERNAL LIFE**!

God's Word clearly teaches that faith, salvation, the Holy Spirit and eternal life are all 100 percent **FREE GIFTS OF GOD** and that the two main incentives for doing good works is being thankful to God for these amazing **FREE GIFTS** and to **EARN HEAVENLY ETERNAL REWARDS** which God has promised His chosen saints for faithful and loving service. Whereas those who believe in **SINLESS PERFECTION** believe that we have to earn our salvation and eternal life by doing **GOOD WORKS** and being **SINLESS** and that the only eternal reward is gaining eternal life by what we do; and if we commit even one small sin after we are saved we will loose our salvation and eternal life. And so man and not God becomes the Author and Finisher of our salvation.

**BUT WHAT DOES GOD'S WORD SAY**??

**AND SO SALVATION IS 100 PERCENT **FREE** but **ETERNAL REWARDS** are 100 percent **EARNED**!!

Ephesians 6:8: Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men, because you know that the Lord will **REWARD** everyone for what ever good he does!

Revelation 22:12 Jesus says, “Behold I am coming soon! My **REWARD** is with Me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done!”

Matthew 16:27: Jesus says, “The Son of Man is going to come in His Father's glory with His angels and **THEN** He will **REWARD** each person according to what he has done!”

Luke 11:33,34: Jesus says, "Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a **TREASURE** IN HEAVEN** that will never fail, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys. For where your **TREASURE** is, there your **HEART** will be also!"

Luke 14:13,14: Jesus says, "When you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be **BLESSED**. Although they cannot repay you you will be **REPAID AT THE RESURRECTION** of the righteous!"

2 Corinthians 5:9,10: We make it our goal to please Him... for we must all appear before the Judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.

1 Corinthians 3:13-15: His work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each man's work. If what he has built survives, he will receive his **REWARD**. If it is burned up he will suffer loss; he himself will be saved, but only as one escaping through the flames.

How to Win Heavenly CROWNS:

I Corinthians 9:24-27: Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes in to strict training. They do it to get a **CROWN** that will not last; but we do it to get a **CROWN THAT WILL LAST FOREVER**! Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize!

2 John 1:8: Watch out that you do not lose what you have worked for, but that you may be **REWARDED** fully!.

Revelation 3:11: Jesus says, “I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your **CROWN**!”

2 Timothy 4:7,8: I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the **CROWN** of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me **ON THAT DAY**—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for His appearing!

The **CROWN** of Life for those who persevere under trials and persecution:

James 1:12: Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the **CROWN OF LIFE** that God has promised to those who love Him!

Revelation 2:10 Jesus says, “Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer... Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the **CROWN OF LIFE**!”

Matthew 5:11,12: Jesus says, “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your **REWARD IN HEAVEN**!”

Luke6:22,23: Jesus says, "Blessed are you when people hate you, when they reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man. Rejoice in that day and **JUMP FOR JOY**, because great is your **REWARD IN HEAVEN**!"

! Daniel 12:3: Those who impart wisdom will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness like the stars for ever and ever!!

Matthew 19:29: Jesus says, "Everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children **FOR MY SAKE** will receive a **HUNDRED TIMES AS MUCH** and will inherit eternal life!!"

Luke 24 verses 45 - 48

There’s no proven contradiction between the various translations. All of them teach salvation by grace only but some just word it differently.

Reading a translation wrongly and making false assumptions is probably not the fault of the translation.

Some people falsely assume repentance is a “good work” one must do to be saved.

But repentance is not a “good work” in the same sense that loving your neighbor as yourself or giving to the poor are considered good works.

Repentance, rather, is a desperate realization that God has a right to punish the sinner in hell and that Jesus is the only way of escaping the horrors of God’s wrath.

Repentance is essentially an acknowledgment. It’s a change of mind about sin and the Lordship of Jesus. Of course, that change of mind will immediately impact behavior. But this is NOT good works salvation.

Let’s see how ridiculous the fallacy of “good works repentance” might look like in an analogous criminal court of law.

Suppose a judge is about to pronounce the death penalty on a convicted killer but killer “repents” to the court! Will the judge then say, “what a fine fellow you are doing “good works of repentance”!!

That would be absurd.

The judge will probably respond by saying, “I’m glad you admit your guilt, now accept your punishment”.

Mere repentance doesn’t help! It’s not some so-called “good work” that is able to save

Let’s try this another way.

If someone says, “I’m a really bad sinner, I know I deserve hell!! Please save me from what I know I deserve!!

The person crying out is NOT performing a “good work” in exchange for salvation, rather he’s crying out for the salvation he knows he DOESN'T deserve!!

Sorta like a drowning man calling out to an enemy for help!! The question is, will the enemy forgive and save him or let the man get what he deserves?! In the case of Jesus, he freely forgave and saved his drowning enemies.

Obviously once saved, the rescued person doesn’t keep slapping the one who saved him around anymore like before. Instead he humbly loves the savior and from now on wants to do nothing but good the rest of his life!!

Repentance is a doctrine taught by Jesus. No person gets to heaven without it

Davey,

See if i read your reply correctly.

You believe in Lordship salvation.

You believe Repentance ( of sin ) is necessary for salvation.

Then the Scriptures are wrong,as FAITH in Messiah is all that is required for both salvation and forgiveness.

Do i need to repent to be saved, if so then that is a works based salvation which adds to the Word and the cross.

Do i need to repent to be forgiven, if so then that is a works based forgiveness, which adds to the Word of GOD Almighty.

No person is able to repent until after they have trusted Messiah to save them.

I checked here to see if Jesus says you’re supposed to work for you salvation by doing a repentance type of “work”. Not in Mark 1:15

"The time has come," he said. "The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!"

I’ll keep looking just to make sure.

But last time I checked, repentance isn’t a work.

Luke 24 verses 45 - 48
Posted : 20 May, 2020 07:47 PM

**SALVATION IS 100% FREE WHILE ETERNAL HEAVENLY REWARDS ARE 100% EARNED**!!

**SALVATION IS 100% FREE** AND INCLUDES THE FREE GIFT OF REPENTENCE^^

Romans 9:15,16,18: God says, "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion." It does not, therefore, depend on human desire or effort, but on God's mercy...Therefore God has mercy on whom He wants to have mercy, and He hardens whom He wants to harden. {But God's saints still preach God's Word to everyone}

{The Lord has shortened the Great Tribulation from 3 1/2 years or 1278 days to 1260 days}

Revelation 17:14: They will make war against the **LAMB** but the **LAMB** will overcome them because He is **LORD** of lords and **KING** of kings and with Him will be His **CALLED** **CHOSEN** and **FAITHFUL** followers!! {Riding on white horses right after the Marriage Feast of the **LAMB** as per Revelation 19:7-20!}
