John 14 verse 15
Posted : 18 May, 2020 05:44 PM

The verse in John 14 verse 15 is not about OBEDIENCE, it is about not changing what Messiah has said.

John 14

15“If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.

Too many times people have been told,

If you love Jesus you will obey His commandments, then John 14 verse 15 is read.

What the people are not told is that the English word OBEY, is not in the Greek text.

Luke 24 verses 25 - 28 have been changed also.

John 15:9,10" Jesus says, "As the Father **LOVED** Me, so I have **LOVED** you!! Now remain in My **LOVE . **IF** you obey My commands, you will remain in My **LOVE**, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in His **LOVE** !"

John 14:21,23: Jesus says, "Whoever has My commands and obeys them, he is the one who **LOVES** Me! He who loves Me will be **LOVED** by My Father, and I will **LOVE** him....If anyone **LOVES** Me, he will obey My teaching. My Father will **LOVE** him, and we will come to him and make Our home with him!!"

Matthew 28:19.20” Jesus commands, “Go and make disciples of all nations... teaching them to *OBEY EVERYTHING* I have commanded you!”

I John 2:1-6: Jesus Christ, the Righteous one. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins. We know that we have come to know Him **IF WE KEEP HIS COMMANDS**! Whoever says, "I know Him," but does not do what He commands is a **LIAR**, and the truth is not in that person. But if anyone **OBEYS HIS WORD** love for God is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in Him!

In John 14 verse 15 the English word OBEY is not in the Greek text.

The Greek word used is tereo

Bible > Strong's > Greek > 5083

◄ 5083. téreó ►

Strong's Concordance

téreó: to watch over, to guard

Original Word: τηρέω

Part of Speech: Verb

Transliteration: téreó

Phonetic Spelling: (tay-reh'-o)

Definition: to watch over, to guard

Usage: I keep, guard, observe, watch over.

HELPS Word-studies

5083 tēréō (from tēros, "a guard") – properly, maintain (preserve); (figuratively) spiritually guard (watch), keep intact.

Messiah says IF you tereo me, you will not change my word, OR you will keep my word just as i have spoken it.

Sneakily Satanic quotes by Quiznos:

The verse in John 14 verse 15 is not about OBEDIENCE, it is about not changing what Messiah has said.

John 14: 15“If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.

Too many times people have been told,

If you love Jesus you will obey His commandments, then John 14 verse 15 is read.

What the people are not told is that the English word OBEY, is not in the Greek text.

Luke 24 verses 25 - 28 have been changed also.

Quiznos makes many sneakily Satanic statements such as:

Do you have to believe that Jesus is God to be saved??

**BUT WHAT DOES GOD'S WORD SAY ABOUT OBEYING ALL THE COMMANDS OF JESUS**??

John 15:9,10" Jesus says, "As the Father **LOVED** Me, so I have **LOVED** you!! Now remain in My **LOVE . **IF** YOU OBEY MY COMMANDS**, you will remain in My **LOVE**, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in His **LOVE** !"

Friends! For the life of me I just could not understand how anyone could be so hung up on words like OBEDIENCE to that of KEEPING what is true!? So I took the liberty of calling up the Quiznos family and talking to his Dad. For the sake of privacy we will just call Junior here by a made up first name George and last name Quiznos, also leaving out any real family names. Now George Quiznos Dad told me the reason George has hangups with the word "obedience" is because he has always had MUCH disregard for authority! Ahhhh I thought, tell me more! Dad Quiznos goes on to say, George Quiznos never did want to take out the trash when I told him he needed to "obey" me, for he was not originally a family team player! I see I said! So I had to change my words in the family handbook and THEN he would do his choirs, as its a mental game with George! George simply does not understand that "keeping" and "obeying" mean the same thing, but no matter he hates the authoritative word of OBEDIENCE! Thus the problems you all have with him on the forum, you see? Dad Quiznos was nice enough to send me the change long ago made in the Quiznos English text family handbook custom tailored just for rebel George Quiznos! Was that cool or what?

From the Quiznos English text found in the family handbook of house choirs - 5083 tēréō and its usage: I keep intact, guard, observe, watch over. properly, maintain (preserve) my willful duties or choirs.

Dad Quiznos says - IF you CHOOSE to tereo me, you will not change my word (choirs for you!), OR you will keep (do my choirs assigned to you!) my word just as i have spoken it.

So here now we can understand that George Quiznos just does NOT like the AUTHORITY and of course being OBEDIENT to it even growing up in the Quiznos family, thus his distortion in the same meaning in keeping (OBEDIENCE!) of the COMMANDMENTS of YHWH here on this forum! So there you have it friends, George Quiznos just does not want to take out the TRASH, nor even in his thinking and reasoning!!!

ohn 14:15 - "If ye love me, keep (OBEY) my commandments." This truly wonderful complete saying is manifested even more in another of John's writings - the relation of love to obedience, obedience producing love, and love suggesting obedience and supplying it with motive. John 15:9 "As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love" commandments which are NOT suggestions! Guard them as a sacred deposit, obey them as the only reasonable response you can make to authoritative command!

It is somewhat startling to find the great promise that follows conditioned by loving obedience, seeing that love and obedience in any sinful man, love to Christ itself, are elsewhere made the work of YHWH's set apart Holy Spirit. But we here on this forum come across that which often perplexes the student Quiznos, the contrast between the general idea of the constant and continuous work of grace in human hearts, and the special manifestation in personal glory and Divine activity of the set apart Holy Ghost on Pentecost.

Hugs,

You sure can tell a story that is not true, nor has any bearing on the subject

IF Messiah wanted us to OBEY, He would have used the correct word, or words would He not.

Now whwn you or others use the word OBEY, then you change the Scripture, and we know what GOD Almighty says about doing that.

Remember the jot and tittle.
