Admin	What is the church and why do we go? Posted : 10 May, 2020 06:32 PM Is it a building you go to to hear people sing, shout, pray, preach and lift their hands up to the Lord? No. The church is not a building. It's not just a place that you worship or learn the word of God. The church is the people. God's children are the church. And the church is His bride. Church isn't about man getting up to read from a book. It's about the Holy Spirit filling that man up to get up and preach the word of God. It's about fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ, Jesus. We can be saved anywhere, we can worship anywhere, we can pray anywhere, we can read His word anywhere. But for many, especially myself, church is the one place I can fellowship with my brothers and sisters in Christ. If we're saved I believe we want to fellowship with them and be around them. I don't know about anyone else, but I do. Post Reply

CORINTHIANS 16:20; 2 CORINTHIANS 13:12; AND ROMANS 16:16!! MAYBE WE SHOULD START OBEYING GOD'S WORD ESPECIALLY IN THIS TIME OF CRIUSES!! Luke 7:44-47: Jesus said, "Do you see this woman? I came into your house. You did not give Me any water for My feet, but she wet mmy feetwith her tears and wiped them with Her hair. YOU DID NOT GIVE ME A KISS, but this woman, from the time I entered, has not stopped KISSING MY FEET. You did not put oil on my head, but she has poured perfume on My feet. Therefore, I tell you, her, many sins have been forgiven--as her GREAT LOVE has shown!!" I Peter 5:14: Greet one another with a KISS OF LOVE! I Thessalonians 5:26: Greet all God's people with a KISS OF LOVE! 2 Corinthians 13:12: Greet one another with a HOLY KISS! I Corinthians 16:20: Greet one another with a HOLY KISS Romans 16:16: Greet one another with a HOLY KISS Kissing one another with a HOLY KISS OF LOVE could be a GENTLE KISS ON THE CHEEK OR HAND Because of many taboos many theologians believe that a friendly handshake or hug can take the place of a Kiss of love. These commands of God are not eliminated by the present coronavirus!! Post Reply

Are you kissing everyone’s children and everyone’s wives?? Please explain how you’ve been going about obeying this “command to kiss”. Why do you think this is a “command” Jesus said to “hate you father and mother”, is that like a “command” too?? Post Reply

Posted : 12 May, 2020 12:36 PM In answer to the thread question, the church is the body of Christ or those who’ve been “called out”. We “go” for fellowship, instruction and encouragement. We also go because it’s commanded. Post Reply

Posted : 12 May, 2020 04:23 PM Silly Richard7744 states - "These commands (Kissing) of God are not eliminated by the present coronavirus!!" So tell us, is it possible for believers to EVER get sick with any other flu virus and would you recommend them giving "kisses" out if they did (and they do) get sick and come to "church" gatherings??? Should we do that Richard7744??? Perhaps you could post a wonderful inspired thread showing us how your "Jesus" wants us to hate our "father and mother" in your new covenant??? Post Reply

Galatians 2:14-16,20,21; Paul said, When I saw that they were not acting in line with the truth of the gospel, I said to Peter in front of them all, "You are a Jew, yet you live like a Gentile and not like a Jew. How is it, then that you force Gentiles to follow Jewish customs? We who are Jews by birth and not 'Gentile sinners' know that a man is NOT justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law, because by observing the law no one will be justified.!" Galatians 2:20,21: The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!" Galatians 3:10-13: "All who rely on observing the law are under a curse, for it is written "Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law." Clearly no one is justified before God by the law, because, "The righteous will live by faith." The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, "The man who does these things will live by them." Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us! Galatians 3:23-25: "Before faith came, we were held prisoners by the law, locked up until faith should be revealed. So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith. Now that faith has come, WE ARE NO LONGER UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF THE LAW!!" Hebrews 8:8,9,13: "The time is coming." says the Lord, "when I will make a New Covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah".... By calling this Covenant "NEW", He has made the first one OBSOLETE; and what is OBSOLETE and aging will soon disappear." Hebrews 8:6: But the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the covenant of which He is Mediator is SUPERIOR TO THE OLD ONE, and it is founded on better promises. Colossians 2:16,17: Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you EAT or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a SHADOW of the things that were to come, the reality, however, is found in Christ!!! Post Reply
