The Jewish people rejected Jesus. In Psalm 41 it says Jesus’s closest friends will betray him. Judas betrayed Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane. In Zechariah 11:12 it says that someone would get paid 30 pieces of silver. This is the same thing that’s in the book of Matthew where Judas gets paid 30 pieces of silver to betray Jesus.
Isaiah says the Holy one will not speak. This is what Jesus did in front of Pilate when He said nothing in His defense. In Psalm 22 is speaks of the Cross and the scoffers who scoffed at Jesus.
2) The Atonement is Completed:
This means we are back into a living relationship with God. At Jesus’s baptism, John the Baptist said Jesus was the Lamb that would take away the sins of the world. The lamb Jesus was slain, slaughtered for the sins of the world. This is the atonement that comes from the Old Testament-the Passover. A lamb was killed and its blood was spread on the door posts by the people to save them from the angel of death. The lamb’s blood on the door post made the death angel pass over their home. After this, each year the high priest would take a lamb to slay for the sins of the people. In Romans 5:12 it says because of one man, Adam, sin came into the world. But now through one man, Jesus, many will be declared righteous. Jesus Christ completed the atonement and oneness with God again for us.
There is nothing to be added to this and nothing to be taken away. We do not need to do any good works. Jesus said “It is Finished”. The death of Christ on the cross finished the redemption and it is finished. The Grace of Jesus finished it. It is finished and the ransom is paid because Jesus is our substitute. We believers rejoice in the gift of Life that is given to us through Jesus Christ. It is finished!

IT IS FINISHED
“It Is Finished”
The last words of YHSHUA Messiah as he hung dying.
What is so extra cool is these words refer to the last words in the entire Quote from Psalm 22.
This event is recorded in Mathew and Mark.
This is the translation we read in modern English. I changed the names to the original Hebrew.
Matt. 27:46-49 About the ninth hour YHSHUA cried out in a loud voice, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?"[Ηλει ηλει λεμα σαβαχθανι] which means, "My El, my El, why have you forsaken me?" When some of those standing there heard this, they said, "He's calling Elijah." Immediately one of them ran and got a sponge. He filled it with wine vinegar, put it on a stick, and offered it to YHSHUA to drink. The rest said, "Now leave him alone. Let's see if Elijah comes to save him."
Mark 15:34-36 And at the ninth hour YHSHUA cried out in a loud voice, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?"[Ελωι Ελωι λεμα σαβαχθανι] which means, "My Eloi, my Eloi, why have you forsaken me?" When some of those standing near heard this, they said, "Listen, he's calling Elijah." One man ran, filled a sponge with wine vinegar, put it on a stick, and offered it to YHSHUA to drink. "Now leave him alone. Let's see if Elijah comes to take him down," he said.
In Aramaic it actually is, My El, My El, this is my destiny. “Sabachthani” was wrongly translated in Greek as forsaken, they are similar except for one pronunciation point. It is actually “destiny” in Aramaic.
Wow! What a difference!
YHSHUA was quoting the entire Psalm on the pole/ tree”cross”! Only the first part was written down in Mathew and Mark but with his last breaths, he was teaching and fulfilling the entire prophecy. Beautifully connecting himself to the line and fulfillment of King David. He was speaking on OUR behalf, fulfilling His destiny! He was showing His humanness. He died among us. YHWH creator of all died as a human among us as a brother.
YHSHUA taught the entire Psalm and here is the proof. The Hebrew rendering of these last words in this Psalm spoken in Aramaic then translated to Greek, Latin, and then to English. It is agreed by historians that YHSHUA and his disciples spoke Aramaic, the common language of Judea in the first century AD, The common language of the Hebrew people after the exile from Babylon. They spoke Aramaic but read scripture in “old” Hebrew. Aramaic is the western Syriac form of the Babylonian Hebrew.

“he hath done this” is the modern translation of “It Is Finished” !!!
What is finished? HIS DESTINY IS FINISHED!
WOW! These are words in our modern Bibles that have actually caused many to turn away from being a Christian!
We abide in this amazing time foretold by Daniel that we would understand these things. Knowledge shall indeed be increased!
It is so important to seek out the tools we have now to true translation of the actual scripture. Not just for our own understanding but to feed the many lambs that are hungering for the “bread” of our times, “the true word, YHSHUA” He came in the FULLNESS of the WORD, in the fullness of the WORD it is written of Him.
Let us all fulfill our destiny’s so we can also say “It is finished”
