KNOW the WORD to TEST the SPIRITS

I was having a bible discussion with a believer who stated to me previously that he doesn't like to read and gets his knowledge directly from God because he prayed for it .

He says he KNOWS the things are true that he gets downloaded to him because he feels it.

OH BOY.

I love this person so it is difficult for me hear this .

We have to know the WORD of God to TEST the SPIRITS.

I have stated to him that satan manifests as an ANGEL of LIGHT . His goal is to be like the MOST HIGH and deceive people.

I, I, I, over and over again in scripture.

It's all about his narcissistic spirit. Such pride and arrogance.

Concerning the Judgement on Jerusalem in the 1st century: Ezekiel 16:49

…48 As surely as I live, declares the Lord GOD, your sister Sodom and her daughters never did as you and your daughters have done. 49 Now this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were >>arrogant, overfed, and complacent;<<< they did not help the poor and needy. 50 Thus they were haughty and committed abominations before Me. Therefore I removed them, as you have seen.

Now this is where it gets really, really sad for me.

We were doing a study on Revelation 19 and this person believes in the "secret rapture". He said "God wouldn't want us to go through the tribulation . He said we wouldn't"

I carefully stated to him, "Well, that verse you are referencing is about wrath not tribulation. (1 Thessalonians 5:9) I continued asking "What about the 1st century Saints who were purified in the fire?... they went through the tribulation with various Caesar's throwing some of them to lions, using others as human torches, Paul was beheaded and I think Peter was crucified, etc.."

He actually replied to me with, >>>>"Well then they weren't believers."<<<<

WHAT?????

I looked at him as if he had grown 7 heads and 10 horns.

I said "So Paul and Peter who were killed for their faith and crucified and beheaded were not believers???...incredible"

I had to educate him.

I pray often.

I am just glad he is eager to listen to the Audio bible now so we can go through the WORD together . Thank God he likes the KJV. At least there is common ground there.

satan continues to war with him but my influence and the POWER of YAHUWAH behind it is no match for the adversary.

Never give up on anyone. Pray without ceasing and love..
