Hi everyone!

I believe that we have one God but is tri-une. The Father, the Son and the holy Spirit is one.

But someone asked me that if we have one God... who is Jesus praying to when He prayed in the garden of gethsemane the night before his crucifixion? Don't really have a good answer to this question. Please help me

Can anyone give a more simple answer to this question?

The Father (Mark 14:35-36, for example). I've also been studying Jesus' relationship to the Father lately, and I came across the following helpful passages: Matthew 12:25-27, John 14:9-14, John 14:28-31. I hope this helps you.

Isn't He omnipresent? I would suggest Genesis to prove that. "Let US make man in OUR image." Not to mention that Jesus assures his deity (is that the right term?).

If you download, esword from the internet, you'll have a quick reference Bible to find any number of supportive verses. Have fun, sister.

dear gracie, one thing to remember is that JESUS was GOD the SON, SENt down here to earth..whilst GOD the FATHER remained in heaven.. JESUS was on this earth in human form.. as a man. so therefore HE was prayin to GOD THE FATHER.. remember JESUS could have chosen to not endure that awful pain for us.. but praise GOD he did.. yet HE was the SON doing the complete will of the FATHER. then after JESUS S ressurection and acention GOD the FATHER sent the HOLY SPIRIT to them that was saved..all three are one.. yet seperate.. GOD THE FATHER, GOD THE SON ,GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT..

hope that helps ya a little bit.
