Was trying to work up examples for another post and decided to list these off. Are these definitions right? Is the list missing any? Which are you? Why do you support it?

i) Historic Premillennialism: Christ will return before the 1000 years (literal) and establish His earthly kingdom. The church does not play a part in building the kingdom and Christ's return takes place at an unknown time.

ii) Dispensational Premillennialism: Like Historical Premillennialism, except DPM believe in the rebuilding of Jewish temples and traditions during the millennia. Note that there are many subcatagories involving Rapture, such as Pre-tribulation, Mid-tribulation, PreWrath, Post-tribulation, Pan-tribulation and Partial Rapture.

iii) Classical Amillennialism: 1000 years is figurative and describes the lengthy time before Christ returns. The church and Israel are synonymous, and the removal of the church is merely the greeting of Christ. The gospel must fill the earth before Christ returns, and the struggles are the historic struggles and growth of Christianity.

iv) Optimistic Amillennialism: Like Classical Amillennialism, except OAM states that the next main event will be the Second Coming and soon.

v) Temple Amillennialism: Like Optimistic Amillennialism, except TAM agrees with Premillennialism that the physical church ends, though that it has already with the surge of false doctrine within.

vi) Classic Postmillennialism: Christ will return after a figurative 1000 years to establish the new earth and new heaven. The Church is the Kingdom of Christ and the 1000 years begins through the preaching of the gospel by the church. The removal of the church is merely the greeting of Christ, and the struggles are the historic struggle of Israel and the growth of the church.

vii) Liberal Postmillennialism: Like Classic Postmillennialism, except LPM promotes that the world is becoming better from humanistism rather than through the power of God and His Word.

viii) Theonomic Postmillennialism: Like Classic Postmillennialism, except TPM says that the 1000 years begins some time after the church's influences take hold of society with Mosiac Law and civil law in subjection to God's law, before handing it over to Christ.

I believe the Correct Biblical view is Chiliasm. Here is a link to a great web site that discusses these issues.

I'm not exactly sure if this one was included or not, but if it was, I didn't recognize it. So here I go! I'm not sure of the...um..."definition", but I believe we're waiting for Jesus to come back. When He does, all the unsaved are destroyed with the brightness of His coming(Revelation 6:14-17, Revelation 19:11-18, Jeremiah 25:33), all the righteous dead are resurrected and caught up into the clouds, then the righteous living next(1 Thessalonians 4:16, 1 Corinthians 15:51-53, 1 Thessalonians 4:17). They all go to heaven for the thousand years to...well....be in heaven obviously(who needs more then that?), but also to "examine the books" and clear God's name(Revelation 20:4, 1 Corinthians 6:2-3). They're supposed to be witnesses to the fact that all the unsaved(and the evil angels) were given every chance(God is a God of love after all...Eze. 33:11), and vindicate God's character against Satan's accusations that God is a tyrant. Also...I don't know about you, but if I make it to heaven, and someone that I loved didn't...I'd want to know why...just to know God was fair with them. Anyway...after the 1000 years, everybody leaves heaven in the "New Jerusalem", and comes back a desolated earth. All the unsaved from all ages are resurrected(Revelation 20:5), and then Satan decides to take a break from his 1000 years of imprisonment(Revelation 20:2-3, Revelation 20:7) and re-deceive all the unrighteous to attack the holy city, and then they'll be judged(Revelation 20:9, Revelation 20:13-14, Malachi 4:1,3). After all that, God remakes the earth again(2 Peter 3:10-13, Revelation 21:1), and it's all over. The meek inherit the earth with Christ, and spend eternity being God's most precious creation. Paid for with His Son's blood. So...that's it...sorry if I bored you with something that was already on your list...

:peace::peace:

I have a question for u.Does the thousand years begin after the Gog Magog alliance,which is described in Ezekiel 38.Sounds like to me America is the land of unwalled villiages where people dwell saftley.If they are going to take a spoil and multitude of cattle,there is not many cows in the little country Israel in the mideast.There are three websites that I know of,one is called truth in history one is mission to Israel and the other one I know of is scriptures for america.See if that makes a difference on how thinga are going to take place.

I believe the thousand years happens in heaven. After the thousand years we leave heaven and live on a earth made new. All the evil alliances/plagues/tribulations happen before Jesus comes back, the thousand years happens after.
