LittleDavid View Profile History	THIS MAN HELPS THE HOMELESS Posted : 22 Nov, 2019 09:19 AM Some people become homeless one month after missing rent payments. Some are very high functioning intellectual people who once held high positions but lost everything. Some are not intellectually prepared for most job markets and can’t find work. When I worked among the mentally handicapped, I learned that most agencies accept those holding an intellectual assessment score of 70 or less. That means many with scores slightly over 70 are subject to the rigors of finding work they can’t match. So they go jobless and homeless. Very sad Post Reply

I had no toilet , no running water. no refrigerator....just lived in a camper on the back of a truck. I washed up at truckstops. Did my dishes there. I took showers at a friends house. I can relate to these people very well. I am thankful that I had a roof over my head. Alot of them don't. I remember one homeless man sitting on the floor indoors at the post office in the lobby once when I went on a late night trip with my mom to post her bills. It made me realize at a young age how good I had it and do right now. WOW! Post Reply

Some people just really don’t know what to do to make things better. Some want to live that way but I seems most would like to have a home and a good job. Some get picked on at work I’m sure which makes it hard to stay working. Post Reply
KJVonly View Profile History	THIS MAN HELPS THE HOMELESS Posted : 22 Nov, 2019 08:34 PM One man on the link said that he and his mom was abused by her boyfriend and she kept going back to the guy and the son couldn't take it anymore so he left to a shelter. But someone at the shelter stole all his ID/SS card, birth certificate etc. So he can't get a job and he said that there is a lottery for beds at some places and he is basically on the streets. He said strangers living in the city help him more than the agencies that are there for that purpose! SAD! I think it was Anthony's story....Yep. Just confirmed it. Post Reply

However, I cannot understand why ! I have seen a few men on the corners here asking for handouts. Not sure if they all are really homeless but it is very Sad 😢 to see anyone begging on the street corner. Post Reply
