Roast to burnt toast or just no eternal life in the grave of hell.?

A friend of mine was texting me and in our conversation we realized Yahuwah has placed it on our hearts to pray for the same person who lives in Houston  as we are unsure if he is saved or not . He is a mechanic we have never had the pleasure of meeting. And we both have a mutual friend who is also a mechanic we are praying for at the same time! 2 mechanics. Awesome!

So in retrospective contemplation I realized that my friend is really upset by the thought of people burning in hell for eternity. ..well, there is some truth to that but with a different perspective than most for me. Here are some verses to consider:1 Corinthians 15:41 41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory. 42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: 43 it is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: 44 it is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. 45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. 46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. 47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. 48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. 49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

So in other words...The physical resurrection of Christ was essential to verify the spiritual, to which it was tied.  So when people die and do not have the living Spirit of Christ Y'shua, then do those people go to the grave of hell to be consumed by God forever (as he is a consuming fire) to be eternally dead. No BBQ?

God is a consuming fire so he will eternally consume but is it just eternal separation or torture? What does a spiritual eternal death look like? Do the unsaved dead have eternal consciousness? Is that even biblical ? a second death that is not really death but living, tangible torture?

Now to the bonus:

Here is a hack I learned to remove the pulley bolt since my friend has a loose crankshaft pulley and his belt is coming off :You can bypass taking parts off the radiator and air conditioning to get to the pulley with an air impact wrench by using a cheater bar and a socket . Just place the socket on the bolt and attach the cheater bar to it and figure out which way your engine fan runs and turn the bar in the same direction and wedge it against something solid like a air conditioning bracket and bump your ignition key and it should loosen the bolt and Voila! Then you just have to use your pulley kit to remove the pulley It's kinda cute because it looks like a ducks foot! .....Hey, I think I could even do this!...speaking of which, here, hold the light for me!!

I think C.S. Lewis had the right idea, I believe in "The Great Divorce", when it was viewed as a self-inflicted trap.

Of course we know there is considerable suffering.

Luke 16:24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

Of course this fire was never intended for man, but rather Satan and his angels.

Matthew 25:41 Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.

I see this thread is a bit confusing.

So a person who has most likely not lived 100 years roasts to toast for eternity, even though there are counterfeit bibles, false doctrine, false teachers, and a plethora of other devices and schemes to keep you away from truth?

Just asking...

Romans 1:17-20 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

One of the most important things I truly believe in accordance with my faith is that the Word is Living. False translations are not. If I read a false translation, it will not resonate with the Spirit that exists within me. Our guide is the Living Word.

Psa 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

I could never pick up a Bible written in text, and gain perfect understanding of what the Word says. Why? Because the creation testifies of the Creator and He testifies of Himself. That doesn't mean I can't miss things, but probably due to my own ignorance, and it's still no excuse to ignore what is written in text when it is accessible.

Luke 19:40 And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.

Exactly!!

2 Corinthians 10:3,4: "For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are *NOT* the weapons of the world."

Ephesians 6:14-17: Stand firm then, with belt of Truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the **GOSPEL OF PEACE**. in addition to all this, take up the shield of Faith, with which you can extinguish all the arrows of the Evil One. Take the helmet of Salvation and the **SWORD OF THE SPIRIT**, which is the **WORD OF GOD**!!

Matthew 26:30-34: They seized Jesus and arrested Him. With that, one of Jesus' companions reached for his sword, drew it out and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear. "Put your sword back in its place," Jesus said to him, "For *ALL* WHO DRAW THE SWORD WILL DIE BY THE SWORD!**"

James 4:1-4: What causes fights among you? Don't they come from your desires that battle within you? You desire but you do not have, so you kill. You covet but cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive because you ask with the wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God!

John 18:36: Jesus says, " My Kingdom is not of this world. If it were my servants would fight to prevent My arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now My Kingdom is from another place!!"

Matthew 5:43-45: Jesus says, You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' {As per Lev 19:18} But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven!"

Matthew 5:38,39: Jesus commands, "You have heard that it was said {In Exodus 21:23-25 above}, 'Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.' But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek turn to him the other also!"

Luke 6:27-29: Jesus commands, "LOVE YOUR ENEMIES, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also. If someone takes your cloak, do not stop him from taking your tunic. Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you. do not demand it back!"

Romans 12:18-21: If it is possible, as far as it DEPENDS ON YOU, LIVE AT PEACE WITH EVERYONE! Do not take revenge my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written, "It is mine to revenge, I will repay," says the Lord. On the contrary "If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head" Do not be overcome by evil but **OVERCOME EVIL WITH GOOD**!!

It is Living. We serve the Living God. God is equal to His Word.

I don't have a problem with looking at different translations. I think a lot can be learned by comparing. Ultimately though, it's a God thing. He is the one who will teach us.
