The Lord waits til the cup of iniquity is full then he judges. I used to think that the Lord Yahweh was pretty cruel back in the OT. BUT, I have come to realize alot since then. NOTICE!!! that God in his mercy allowed the volcano to erupt and people even had time to escape and there were previous warnings. The 79 AD eruption was preceded by a powerful earthquake seventeen years before on February 5, AD 62.
Around 1:00 p.m., Mount Vesuvius violently erupted, spewing up a high-altitude column from which ash and pumice began to fall, blanketing the area. Rescues and escapes occurred during this time. At some time in the night or early the next day, pyroclastic flows in the close vicinity of the volcano began. Lights seen on the mountain were interpreted as fires. Pliny the Younger wrote an account of the eruption:

The pyroclastic flow came down from Mt. Vesuvius and the heat was so intense that the terrified people's skulls exploded and the inside charred. Pretty brutal. This was 9 years AFTER the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. and after the Gospel had been preached to all the world. They kept praying to their gods and dumb idols and trying to save themselves and their wealth. But what does God's Word say??
24 For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day. 25>>> >>>>But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of THIS generation.<<<<<<<<<<

Notice that Jesus is speaking to those in the tribulation in THIS generation. Not ours!! They had rooftops they sat on often. Like Peter who went up to his roof top to pray when he saw the vision about the sheet loaded with animals which was interpreted to mean gentiles as scripture records for us.

Let's start with upon thy people AND the holy city. ? Who rejected Jesus and killed their Messiah? The Jews, right? BUT then the Gospel went to the gentiles and so the WHOLE world was preached to . And we know the END will not come til then, right?? Notice the other words. End of sins, reconciliation for iniquity, bring in everlasting righteousness, seal up the vision , anoint the holy.
What vision ? Could it be the vision that John saw in Revelation? The verse goes on to say that the city will be destroyed with a flood. Well, we know from Genesis that the Lord made a covenant not to destroy the world again with a flood and therefore set his bow in the sky. The verse reveals what this flood is. It is war. A flood of soldiers to destroy the city. We know Jesus said the Temple would be raised again in three days when he spoke of his body. The sanctuary was destoyed also according to this verse. In the middle of Daniels 70th week, Messiah was cut off . I ask if that means crucifixion? or that the holy spirit will be restraining satan? This is wonderful questions that beg answers! Lets get to it.

Matthew 24:1-3: Jesus left the Temple and was walking away when Hid disciples came up to to call his attention to its buildings. "Do you see all these things?" Jesus asked, "Truly I tell you, not one stone will be left on another; every one will be thrown down!" As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us, they said, "{Question #1} When will this happen, and {Question #2} what will be the sign of your Coming and the **END** of the age?"
The **PRETERISTS** like KJVonly believe this was only 1 Question??
The Mount of Olives Prophecies and answers to these 2 questions by Jesus are in Matthew 24 and 25 Mark 13 and Luke 21. However the answer to Question {#1} as to when the Temple will be completely destroyed in **AD 70 IS ONLY ANSWERED IN LUKE 21:20-24** below when Jesus warns His saints to flee to the mountains, and Matthew 24:34 only confirms that the Temple and Jerusalem will be destroyed within a generation and they were in AD 70. Everything else in the Mount of Olives Prophecies in Matthew 24,25, Mark 13 and Luke 21 relates on what will happen in the 1260-day Great Tribulation just before the glorious Second Coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!! and Matthew 25:31-46 tells of the judgment of all the saved and lost on the Last Day of the planet earth!
Luke 21:20-24: Jesus prophesied, "When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its destruction is near {In AD 70}. Then let those in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out and let those in the countrynot enter the city. For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written {See Daniel 9:26}... Ther will be great distress in the land against this people. They {The Jews} will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. {This prophecy was **FULFILLED** when the Jews took over East Jerusalem on May 14th, AD 1948 and completed when the Jews took over West Jerusalem form the Jordanian Gentiles on June 7th AD 1967 almost 1900 years later!
All of the other prophecies by Jesus in the Mount of Olives prophecies in Matthew 24 and 25, Mark 13 and Luke 21 refer to Question #2 "What will be the sign of your coming and the end of the age? will be completed by the 42-month {See Rev 13:4-10 below} Great Tribulation just before the Second Coming of Jesus on the Last Day when all of his saints will be resurrected and receive their new heavenly bodies immediately followed by the resurrection of the Lost and Judgement Day in Matthew 25:31-46
**SUCH AS** Matthew 24:9-13 which prophesies the great falling away at the beginning of the Great Tribulation of many in the church when they will be hated by **ALL** the nations of the world followed by the prophecy by Jesus in Matthew 24:14 that the Goispel must be preacxhed to **ALL** the nations of the world before the End will come. By AD 70 the Gospel had only been preached to those nations in the Roman Empire!

All inhabitants of the earth will worship the Beast--all whose names have not been written in the **LAMB'S** Book of Life. Whoever has ears let him hear: "If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity they will go. If anyone is to be killed with the sword, with the sword he will be killed." This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of God's saints!
Matthew 24:14: Jesus prophesied, "And this Gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in the **WHOLE WORLD** as a testimony to **ALL NATIONS** and **THEN the **END will come!"
Matthew 24:29-31: Immediately after the distress of those {1260} days the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light and the **STARS WILL FALL** from the sky! {Luke 21:28 adds "When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near!"} Then will ***APPEAR*** the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. and then all the {Unsaved} peoples of the earth will mourn when the see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a loud {7th & Last} trumpet call, and the will gather **HIS ELECT** from the 4 winds, from one end of heavens to the other!" {Mark 13:27 adds "From the ends of the earth!"}
Matthew 25:31-34,41,46: Jesus prophesied, "When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, He will sit on His glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before Him, an He will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates his sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on His right and the goats on His left. **THEN** the King will say to those on his right. Come, you are blessed by My Father ; take your inhreritance , the Kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world... "Then He will say to those on His left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared fror the Devil and his angels....**THEN** they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life!"
And so the only supposedly good Preterist verses in Mark 9:1 and Matthew 24:34 actually do not prove the Preterist belief and there are over 40 versus in God's Word which totally contradict the Preterist belief!
Ay honest Bible scholar will admit that none of the above events took place in AD 70 and must take place in the **FUTURE**. And therefore the Preterist belief that all the above events took place in AD 70 is completely ridiculous!

2 Peter 3:10-13: But the Day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will DISAPPEAR with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and *EVERYTHING* in it will be burned up . Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you {**CHURCH SAINTS*} wait eagerly for the Day of God to come. That Day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. But in keeping with His promise **WE** {Excluding the Preterists like KJVonly} are looking forward to a New heavens and a New Earth, the home of righteousness.

Hebrews 11:13-16: All these people {Abraham, Sarah Isaac, Jacob, Noah etc} were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them from a distance. And they admitted that they were aliens and strangers on earth. People who say such things show they are looking for a country of their own. If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. Instead, they were looking for a BETTER COUNTRY--a HEAVENLY ONE. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a *CITY* (The *NEW JERUSALEM*} for them!!
Galatians 4:25,26: Now Hagar stands for Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present city of Jerusalem, because she is in slavery with her children. But the **JERUSALEM** that is **ABOVE** is free, and she is our MOTHER !!
The New Jerusaem is described in Revelation 21:9 to Revelation 22:5. The New Jerusalem will be 12,000 stadia long, high and wide as per Revelation 21:16. A stadia is 606 feet long which is the exact same length as the ancient Greek stadium. 606 feet times 12,000 equals 7,272,000 feet which is 1377 miles plus 1,440 feet. A mile is exactly 5,280 feet. {1377 times 5,280 feet equal 7,270,560 feet.} And so the New Jerusalem will be exactly 1377 miles plus 1,440 feet long, wide and high!!
Revelation 21:9-12,15-16,19,23,27; Revelation 22:1-6: The angel said to John, “Come, I will show you the Bride the Wife of the Lamb.” And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of Heaven from from God It shone like the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel. It had a great high wall {1377 miles plus 1,440 feet HIGH!} with 12 gates, and with 12 angels at the gates.
The angel who talked with me had a measuring rod of gold to measure the City, its gates and its walls. The City was laid out like a square, as long as it was wide. Only those written in the Lamb's Book of Life will be able to enter the New Jerusalem!

Revelation 2:18; 3:12,21: Jesus says, "To him who overcomes I will give him a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to him who receives it... I will write on him the name of the City of My God, the **NEW JERUSALEM**, which is coming down out of heaven from My God....And I will give the right to sit with Me on My throne, just as I overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne."
According to Revelation 22:3 the only 2 thrones in the **NEW JERUSALEM** will be the thrones of the **FATHER** and of the **LAMB** Jesus Christ.

Jerusalem's seven hills are Mount Scopus, Mount Olivet (Mount of Olives) and the Mount of Corruption (all three are peaks in a mountain ridge that lies east of the old city), Mount Ophel, the original Mount Zion, the New Mount Zion and the hill on which the Antonia Fortress was built.
Jerusalem is not the only city in the world considered or historically believed to be built on seven hills. Others include Rome, Babylon, Moscow, Mecca, Lisbon, Tehran and Amman. More than nineteen cities in the United States also lay claim to be founded on seven hills.

Now KJVonly claims that the city called Babylon in Revelation chapter 18 which is completely destroyed by fire in Revelation was really Jerusalem which was partially destroyed by the Roman army in AD 70. Jerusalem is 45 miles from the sea and was never a seaport and yet we read in Revelation 18 :17-19; 21-22: Every SEA CAPTAIN, and all who travel by ship, the **SAILORS**, and all who earth their living **FROM THE SEA**, will stand far off. When they see the smoke of her burning, they will explain, "was there ever a city like this great city? " They will throw dust on their heads, and with weeping and mourning cry out: "Woe, woe to you great city, where **ALL WHO HAD SHIPS ON THE SEA** became rich through her wealth!.... "With such great violence the great city of Babylon will be thrown down***NEVER** to be found again??? The music of harpists and musicians, pipers and trumpeters will **NEVER BE HEARD IN YOU AGAIN????"
The scriptures make sense when you are a look at them from a **PRETERIST** standpoint??
Actually God's Word shows that the **PRETERIST** view of the end times and its teachers are guilty of **ADDING** and **TAKING WORDS AWAY** from the prophecies in Revelation which is an **UNPARDONLE SIN** as per Revelation 22:18,19:
Revelation 22:16,18,19: "I, Jesus, nave sent My angel to give you this testimony **FOR THE CHURCHES**... I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone **ADDS ANYTHING** to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this book {Which would include **ETERNAL HELL** in Rev 14:9-11!}. And if anyone **TAKES WORDS AWAY** from this book of prophecy, God will **TAKE AWAY FROM THAT PERSON** any share in the Tree of Life and in the Holy City {The **NEW JERUSALEM**} which are described in this book!!"
Matthew 24:1-3: Jesus left the Temple and was walking away when Hid disciples came up to to call his attention to its buildings. "Do you see all these things?" Jesus asked, "Truly I tell you, not one stone will be left on another; every one will be thrown down!" As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us, they said, "{Question #1} When will this happen, and {Question #2} what will be the sign of your Coming and the **END** of the age?"
The **PRETERISTS** like KJVonly believe this was only 1 Question??
The Mount of Olives Prophecies and answers to these 2 questions by Jesus are in Matthew 24 and 25 Mark 13 and Luke 21. However the answer to Question {#1} as to when the Temple will be completely destroyed in **AD 70 IS ONLY ANSWERED IN LUKE 21:20-24** below when Jesus warns His saints to flee to the mountains, and Matthew 24:34 only confirms that the Temple and Jerusalem will be destroyed within a generation and they were in AD 70. Everything else in the Mount of Olives Prophecies in Matthew 24,25, Mark 13 and Luke 21 relates on what will happen in the 1260-day Great Tribulation just before the glorious Second Coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!! and Matthew 25:31-46 tells of the judgment of all the saved and lost on the Last Day of the planet earth!
Luke 21:20-24: Jesus prophesied, "When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its destruction is near {In AD 70}. Then let those in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out and let those in the countrynot enter the city. For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written {See Daniel 9:26}... Ther will be great distress in the land against this people. They {The Jews} will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. {This prophecy was **FULFILLED** when the Jews took over East Jerusalem on May 14th, AD 1948 and completed when the Jews took over West Jerusalem form the Jordanian Gentiles on June 7th AD 1967 almost 1900 years later!
All of the other prophecies by Jesus in the Mount of Olives prophecies in Matthew 24 and 25, Mark 13 and Luke 21 refer to Question #2 "What will be the sign of your coming and the end of the age? will be completed by the 42-month {See Rev 13:4-10 below} Great Tribulation just before the Second Coming of Jesus on the Last Day when all of his saints will be resurrected and receive their new heavenly bodies immediately followed by the resurrection of the Lost and Judgement Day in Matthew 25:31-46
**SUCH AS** Matthew 24:9-13 which prophesies the great falling away at the beginning of the Great Tribulation of many in the church when they will be hated by **ALL** the nations of the world followed by the prophecy by Jesus in Matthew 24:14 that the Goispel must be preacxhed to **ALL** the nations of the world before the End will come. By AD 70 the Gospel had only been preached to those nations in the Roman Empire!

In Matthew 24:3,9-13: The disciples asked Jesus, “What will be the sign of your Coming and the end of the age?? Jesus answered….. {During the 42-month Great Tribulation} “Then *YOU* will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and *YOU will be hated by **ALL NATIONS** **BECAUSE OF ME**. At that time many will turn away from the Faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of *MOST will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the **END** will be saved.”{WERE THE CHRISTIANS HATED BY ALL THE NATIONS OF THE WORLD IN AD 70???}
Rev 13:4-10: Men worshiped the dragon {Satan} because he had given authority to the Beast {666} and they also worshiped the beast and asked, “Who is like the Beast? Who can make war against him?” The Beast will exercise his authority for 42 {30-day} months {1260 days}, He will be given authority over **EVERY** tribe, people, language and **NATION**. All inhabitants of the earth will worship the Beast--all whose names have not been written in the **LAMB'S** Book of Life. Whoever has ears let him hear: "If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity they will go. If anyone is to be killed with the sword, with the sword he will be killed." This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of God's saints!
Matthew 24:14: Jesus prophesied, "And this Gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in the **WHOLE WORLD** as a testimony to **ALL NATIONS** and **THEN the **END will come!"
Matthew 24:29-31: Immediately after the distress of those {1260} days the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light and the **STARS WILL FALL** from the sky! {Luke 21:28 adds "When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near!"} Then will ***APPEAR*** the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. and then all the {Unsaved} peoples of the earth will mourn when the see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a loud {7th & Last} trumpet call, and the will gather **HIS ELECT** from the 4 winds, from one end of heavens to the other!" {Mark 13:27 adds "From the ends of the earth!"}
Matthew 25:31-34,41,46: Jesus prophesied, "When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, He will sit on His glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before Him, an He will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates his sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on His right and the goats on His left. **THEN** the King will say to those on his right. Come, you are blessed by My Father ; take your inhreritance , the Kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world... "Then He will say to those on His left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared fror the Devil and his angels....**THEN** they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life!"
And so the only supposedly good Preterist verses in Mark 9:1 and Matthew 24:34 actually do not prove the Preterist belief and there are over 40 versus in God's Word which totally contradict the Preterist belief!
Ay honest Bible scholar will admit that none of the above events took place in AD 70 and must take place in the **FUTURE**. And therefore the Preterist belief that all the above events took place in AD 70 is completely ridiculous!

Hebrews 12:26-28: God says, "Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens. Therefore, since we are receiving a *KINGDOM* that can not be shaken let us be thankful...for our God is a consuming fire!
2 Peter 3:10-13: But the Day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will DISAPPEAR with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and *EVERYTHING* in it will be burned up . Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you {**CHURCH SAINTS*} wait eagerly for the Day of God to come. That Day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. But in keeping with His promise **WE** {Excluding the Preterists like KJVonly} are looking forward to a New heavens and a New Earth, the home of righteousness.

Hebrews 11:13-16: All these people {Abraham, Sarah Isaac, Jacob, Noah etc} were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them from a distance. And they admitted that they were aliens and strangers on earth. People who say such things show they are looking for a country of their own. If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. Instead, they were looking for a BETTER COUNTRY--a HEAVENLY ONE. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a *CITY* (The *NEW JERUSALEM*} for them!!
Galatians 4:25,26: Now Hagar stands for Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present city of Jerusalem, because she is in slavery with her children. But the **JERUSALEM** that is **ABOVE** is free, and she is our MOTHER !!
The New Jerusaem is described in Revelation 21:9 to Revelation 22:5. The New Jerusalem will be 12,000 stadia long, high and wide as per Revelation 21:16. A stadia is 606 feet long which is the exact same length as the ancient Greek stadium. 606 feet times 12,000 equals 7,272,000 feet which is 1377 miles plus 1,440 feet. A mile is exactly 5,280 feet. {1377 times 5,280 feet equal 7,270,560 feet.} And so the New Jerusalem will be exactly 1377 miles plus 1,440 feet long, wide and high!!
Revelation 21:9-12,15-16,19,23,27; Revelation 22:1-6: The angel said to John, “Come, I will show you the Bride the Wife of the Lamb.” And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of Heaven from from God It shone like the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel. It had a great high wall {1377 miles plus 1,440 feet HIGH!} with 12 gates, and with 12 angels at the gates.
The angel who talked with me had a measuring rod of gold to measure the City, its gates and its walls. The City was laid out like a square, as long as it was wide. He measured the City with the rod and found it to be 12,000 stadia {A Stadia is exactly 606 feet} in length, and as wide and high as it is long. {1377 miles plus 1,440 feet long, wide and high} The wall was made of Jasper, and the City of pure gold, as pure as glass. The foundations of the city walls were decorated with every kind of precious stone....... The great street of the City was of pure gold, like transparent glass...... Only those written in the Lamb's Book of Life will be able to enter the New Jerusalem!
Revelation 22:1-5: Then the angel showed me the river of the Water of Life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and the Lamb {Jesus} down the middle of the great street of the City. On each side of the river stood the Tree of Life, bearing 12 crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month... The throne of God and of the **LAMB** will be in the City, and his servants will serve Him. They will see His face and His name will be on their foreheads. There will be no more night!! They will not need the light of the lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign **FOR EVER AND EVER**. The angel said to me, “These words are TRUSTWORTHY and TRUE!!” {**DID THIS TAKE PLACE IN AD 70**??}
JESUS WILL WRITE ON US THE NAME OF THE CITY OF GOD THE **NEW JERUSALEM**!!
Revelation 2:18; 3:12,21: Jesus says, "To him who overcomes I will give him a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to him who receives it... I will write on him the name of the City of My God, the **NEW JERUSALEM**, which is coming down out of heaven from My God....And I will give the right to sit with Me on My throne, just as I overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne."
According to Revelation 22:3 the only 2 thrones in the **NEW JERUSALEM** will be the thrones of the **FATHER** and of the **LAMB** Jesus Christ.
