Why aren't the Great Pyramids of Giza mentioned in the Bible? - or are they?

Egypt is all over though in the Bible. Yet doesn't it seem odd one of the great wonders of Egypt and the World is never explicitly mentioned?

Pyramid tombs for Pagan Egyptian kings has no interest for God to even mention pagan pyramids. But here we see Zecharyah again casting doubt about God's Word along with his **Big-Bang" theory!

Oh and this vvv does?

"Bring the cloak that I left with Carpus at Troas when you come"

- 2Timothy 4:13

So we can mention a coat but not one of the seven wonders of the world?

BTW:

The Pyramids at Giza ARE NOT TOMBS for Pagan Egyptian kings. If you studied anything else besides dogma you might know this.

I hate to mention Rob Skiba on youtube but he did have some interesting thoughts on the Pyramids . I can't remember now, but he said something about them being built before the flood.

He claims that the bible talks about the an altar and pillar on the border . So he claims in other translations like Isaiah that pillar is translated pyrmaid..I have yet to fact check.

Be very careful . Don't get deep in it.

Yes, I have no doubt the Pyramids of Giza were built before the Flood. There is 14 feet of sand at their base containing sea shells and Alexander and others record a high water mark on them (before the Muslims stripped the siding off. When they were first opened there was large deposits of salt.

Do you believe it is a monument to Yahweh?

I don't believe it was a burial chamber either.

I have always loved Egyptian architecture..or what I believed to be Egyptian. I had book after book as a kid on it. Love the Sphinx and bust of Nefertiti. I love the Pyramids also. Some say the align exactly with Orions Belt. So imagine my surprise when I read Job years ago!

Hath the rain a father? or who hath begotten the drops of dew?

29 Out of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who hath gendered it?

30 The waters are hid as with a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen.

31 Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion?

32 Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons?

33 Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth?

34 Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover thee?

I hate to mention Graham Hancock also ..he gets into some far out stuff. What he promotes is fairy tales..Even Scientific American says his thoughts on an advanced civilization 12,000 years ago is bogus.

In part, here is the article:

Hancock has spent decades in his vision quest to find the sages who brought us civilization. Yet decades of searching have failed to produce enough evidence to convince archaeologists that the standard timeline of human history needs major revision. Hancock's plaint is that mainstream science is stuck in a uniformitarian model of slow, gradual change and so cannot accept a catastrophic explanation.

Not true. From the origin of the universe (big bang), to the origin of the moon (big collision), to the origin of lunar craters (meteor strikes), to the demise of the dinosaurs (asteroid impact), to the numerous sudden downfalls of civilizations documented by Jared Diamond in his 2005 book Collapse, catastrophism is alive and well in mainstream science. The real magicians are the scientists who have worked this all out.

End article

If people would just read the Bible, it is all there!!! who the first man and woman were, the genealogy of Jesus, etc !

But he wrote on the pyramids in several books so I went to his website to try and find some verse reference.

I found some like this.

Job 14:11

As the waters fail from the sea, and the flood decayeth and drieth up:

Sounds like Egypt.

Notice it says flood dries up. Interesting.

I hate to even quote Josephus and he was a Jewish historian!. He won the favor of the Roman General Vespasian and took his name after he surrendered.

Quote by ignorant Zecharyah:

"The Pyramids at Giza ARE NOT TOMBS for Pagan Egyptian kings. If you studied anything else besides dogma you might know this."

However: According to the very reliable Wikipedia:

In the Old Kingdom, kings first built pyramids for their own **TOMBS** surrounded by stone mastaba tombs for their high officials. The fact that most high officials were also royal relatives suggests another motivation for such placement: these complexes were also family cemeteries.
