Parrot , confess your sins to me like your bible says!

It seems we have a contradiction of translations!

Mine says faults

9 Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.

James 5:16 King James Version (KJV)

16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

I guess I will start with you and you can call me up and come to my confessional box and tell me all!! Don't hold back on me now! I better take a shot of Amaretto before I hear the phone ring.

The Preterists like KJVonly believe that every prophecy in the Mount of Olives prophecies in Matthew 24 and 25, Mark 13 an Luke 21 and every prophecy in Revelation were totally completed in AD 70??? The Preterists also believe that that all the words in the New Testament are inspired by God.

Let us quote one of the prophecies in in Matthew 25 that could not have happened in ad 70!!

Matthew 25:31-34,41,46: Jesus prophesied, "When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, He will sit on His glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before Him, an He will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates his sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on His right and the goats on His left. **THEN** the King will say to those on his right. Come, you are blessed by My Father ; take your inhreritance , the Kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world... "Then He will say to those on His left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared fror the Devil and his angels....**THEN** they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life!"

There are about 20 prophecies in the New Testament that absolutely could not have happened in AD 70 so apparently the Preterists are **FALSE PROPHETS OF SATAN**!!

The mark of the beast is Satan's counterfeit law that goes against the law of God. We also saw that the Roman Catholic Church (the Antichrist system) boasted about changing the Sabbath Day of God from the seventh day to the first. Could this be the mark of the beast? Well the Papal church did say it was her "mark" of authority to change God's Law.

"Of course the change (from Sabbath to Sunday) was her act ..... and the act is a MARK of her ecclesiastical power and authority in religious matters." (signed by H.F.Thomas, Chancellor for Cardinal Gibbons, in a letter dated Nov. 11, 1895)

"Sunday is our MARK of authority ... the church is above the Bible, and this transference of Sabbath observance is proof of that fact." (Catholic record of London, Ontario, Sept. 1, 1923)

There is your Mark of the beast Parrot. Sun worship day.

Interesting....aren't you a Lutheran?

The doctrine of consubstantiation is often held in contrast to the doctrine of transubstantiation. While some Lutherans use the term "consubstantiation" to describe their doctrine, many reject it as not accurately reflecting the eucharistic doctrine of Martin Luther, the sacramental union. They reject the concept of consubstantiation because it replaces what they believe to be the biblical doctrine with a philosophical construct, denotes a mixing of substances (bread and wine with body and blood), and denotes a "gross, Capernaitic, carnal" presence of the body and blood of Christ

Consubstantiation is a Christian theological doctrine that (like transubstantiation) describes the real presence in the Eucharist. It holds that during the sacrament, the substance of the body and blood of Christ are present alongside the substance of the bread and wine, which remain present. It was part of the doctrines of Lollardy and considered a heresy by the Roman Catholic Church.

Hmmm ...guess they didn't like the competition...Only they had power over the Host. You look more Catholic than me , wouldn't you say??

The word translated "faults" in James 5:16 is translated elsewhere in the 1611 as "fall, offense , sin and trespass."

here are a few:

Matt 6:14    For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you

18:35  So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also to you, if ypou from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

2Cor 5:19  that God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, not imputing their trespasses to them; and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

Eph 2:1    And you has he made alive , who were dead in trespasses and sins

Gal 6:1    Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in the spirit of meekness; considering yourself , lest you also be tempted.

That is just some of the 23 uses in the 1611. We need to look at all the places where words are used before passing judgement on others or on translations. The translators of the 1611 were not American evangelicals or fundamentalists. they were high church Anglicans.

Montana yes,we should confess any sins we committed to one another . But not all our sins that don't apply to the person surely!

example...sorry I borrowed this without asking vs. all the sins you ever committed.

But the way it is worded in Prophetics translation seems way off.

Translations have changed in 500 years since the KJV 1611. I can prove that in some modern day translations they remove verses about sin remission through his blood.

Colossians 1:14 (KJV)

“In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:”

Colossians 1:14 New International Version (NIV)

14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

You can compare translations through Biblehub also.

I have more on this in another thread. I think it had NWO or New Age in the title.

It is sad to see God's Word chopped in Modern versions. Especially one so popular .
