But out of love, He my stir up our life to reveal our dependence on Him. If you are basing your security on anything except Jesus Christ-----even something as seemingly innocent as comfort-------it will prove to be sinking sand. Darl'n I think your a bit confused considering what your previously accused me of. Allow me to make it clear to you what your Pastor doesn't teach or perhaps even know: In Christ we are freed from the penalty of the Law. The Law is the instructions of God on how best to live. Why would God free you from what is best for you? You (and your Pastor) is who Peter writes about: "[Paul's] letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction." John the Baptists parents were considered "righteous" under the Law - the Bible says so. Yes, the NEW TESTAMENT! You are not the student of the Bible as you declare. But you can start. Why don't you start with the WORDS AND TEACHINGS OF JESUS. When and only when you understand them will you correctly understand Paul's letters. Post Reply
