"If a prophet or a dreamer of dreams arises among you and gives you a sign or a wonder, 2and the sign or the wonder comes true, concerning which he spoke to you, saying, ‘Let us go after other gods (whom you have not known) and let us serve them,’ 3you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams; for the Lord your God is testing you to find out if you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul," (Deut. 13:1-3).
If a prophet or a dreamer gives you some outward sign, some miracle, but tells you to serve other gods, you are not to obey or follow the words of that prophet.
So even if someone is able to do miracles, if they speak contrary to what God has already spoken, we are not to obey or follow them. God will hold those false speakers accountable.
13:5� And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, will be put to death; because he has spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust you out of the way which the LORD your God commanded you to walk in. So will you put the evil away from your midst.�
it is such a serious matter that God goes further to emphasize that if an Israelite has a family member or relative or close friend who entices them, that Israelite should be the first to stone the false prophet.
13:6� If your brother, the son of your mother, or your son, or your daughter, or the wife of your bosom, or your friend, which is as your own soul, entice you secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which you have not known, you , nor your fathers;�8� you shall not consent to him, nor hearken to him; neither shall your eye pity him, neither shalt you spare, neither shalt you conceal him:�9� But you shalt surely kill him; your hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.�
**DO **PROPHETS** PLAY AN IMPORTANT ROLE IN THE NEW COVENANT**??
I Corinthians 12:27,28: Now you are the body of Christ , and each one of you is a part of it. And God has placed in the church first of all apostles, second **PROPHETS**, third teachers.
Romans 12:4-8: For just as each of us has one body with many members, and those members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is **PROPHESYING**, then **PROPHESY in accordance with your faith, if it is teaching, then teach, If it is encouraging, then give encouragement.
Ephesians 4:7,11-13,16: But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it... So Christ Himself {Not the church!} gives some to be apostles, some to be **PROPHETS**,some to be evangelists and some to be pastors and teachers, to equip His people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ... From Him the whole body, joined and held together by every important ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work!!
Ephesians 2:19,20: Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God's people and also members of His household, built on the foundation of the apostles and **PROPHETS**, with Christ Jesus Himself as the Chief Cornerstone!
I Corinthians 14:1,3,4: Follow the way of love and eagerly desire gifts of the Spirit, especially **PROPHECY**... The one who **PROPHECIES** speaks to people for their strengthening, encouraging and comfort.... He who **PROPHESIES** edifies the church!
I Corinthians 14:22: **PROPHECY** is not for unbelievers but **FOR BELIEVERS**!
Amos 3:7: Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing His plan to His servants the **PROPHETS**!
I Thessalonians 19-21: Do not treat **PROPHECIES** with contempt, but test them all; hold on to what is good!!
I Corinthians 14:39: Therefore, my bothers **BE EAGER TO PROPHESY**!!
2 Peter 1:19-21: We also have the **PROPHETIC** message as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the Morning Star rises in your hearts. Above all, you must understand that no **PROPHECY** of Scripture came about by the prophets own interpretation of things.. For **PROPHECY never had its origin in the human will but **PROPHETS**, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit!
Matthew 10:40,41: Jesus says, Anyone who welcomes you welcomes Me, and anyone who welcomes Me welcomes the One who sent Me. Whoever welcomes a **PROPHET** will receive a **PROPHET'S REWARD**!!
Revelation 1:1-4: The Revelation of Jesus Christ which God gave Him to show His servants what must take place. He made it known by sending His angel to His servant John, who testifies to everything he saw--that is the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ. Blessed is the one who reads the words of this **PROPHECY**and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it!
Revelation 22:7,16.18,19: Jesus says, Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy written in this book... I, Jesus, have sent My angel to give you this testimony **FOR THE CHURCHES**... I warn everyone who hears the words of the **PROPHECY** of this book. If anyone **ADDS** {Like Rev 4:1 & 13:5} anything to them God will add to that person the plagues described in this book. And if anyone **TAKES WORDS AWAY** from this book of **PROPHECY**, God will take away from that person any share in the Tree of Life and in the Holy City {The New Jerusalem}, which are described in this book!
A perfect example of this is how some pre-trib prophets **ADD** to Revelation 4:1:
Revelation 4:1: John said in AD 96 when Revelation was written, " After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And a voice I had first heard speaking to Me like a trumpet {See Rev 1:10} said, "Come up here and I will show you what must take place after this!"
Since a pre-trib rapture is not mentioned in the Olivet Prophecies in Matthew 24,25, Mark 13 and Luke 21 and in all of the prophecies in Revelation some pre-trib prophets **ADD** the ridiculous prophecy that John going up to heaven in AD 96 to learn what will happen in the future **ALSO REPRESENTS** millions of **CHURCH SAINTS** being raptured just before the beginning of the Great Tribulation???
The Post-Trib resurrection of God's saints is beautifully mentioned in the Olivet prophecies in Matthew 24:29-31, Matthew 25:31, Mark 13:24-26, and Luke 21:25-27 and in Revelation 11:15-18 and Revelation 14:14-16!!
God's New Covenant **PROPHETS** must be very careful not the change or contradict any of the inspired **PROPHECIES** in God's Word!!
Revelation 11:3: Jesus says, "I will appoint My 2 witnesses, and they will **PROPHESY** for 1260 days, clothed in sackcloth.
In addition to God's 2 **PROPHETS** {Moses & Elijah?} who will come from heaven to **PROPHESY** for 1260 days during the Great Tribulation, **PROPHETS** are mentioned 8 times in Revelation while pastors, teachers and evangelists are not even mentioned once!! {See Revelation 10:7; 11:10,18; 16:6; 18:20,24; 22:6,9}
Revelation 8:2: And I saw 7 angels who stand before God, and 7 trumpets were given to them! {The fist 6 trumpets will be sounded **DURING** the Great Tribulation as per Revelation 8:6 to Revelation 9:21!!}
Revelation 10:7 In the days when the 7th angel is about to sound his trumpet the **MYSTERY** {See I Cor 15:51,52} of God will be accomplished !{See Revelation 11:15-18} just as He announced to His servants the **PROPHETS**!!
I Corinthians 15:51: Listen, I tell you a **MYSTERY**: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed--in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the {**7TH** and} **LAST TRUMPET**! {see Revelation 8:2 & Rev 11:15}
Revelation 22:6-9: The angel said to me, "These words are trustworthy and true. The Lord, the God who inspires the **PROPHETS**, sent His angel to show His servants the things that must take place." Jesus says, "Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the **PROPHECY** written in this book." I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I heard and seen them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who had been showing them to me. But the angel said to me, "Don't do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your fellow **PROPHETS** and who all who **KEEP THE WORDS** of this book! **WORSHIP GOD**!"
Revelation 11:15,18: The 7th angel sounded His trumpet {See Rev 8:2; 10:7; I Cor 15:51}, and there were loud voices in heaven which said: "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and His Christ and He will reign for ever and ever!"... "The time has come for judging the dead, and for **REWARDING** your servants the **PROPHETS**and your people who reverence your name!"
Matthew 16:27: Jesus says, �The Son of Man is going to come in His Father's glory with His angels and **THEN** He will **REWARD** each person according to what he has done!�
Matthew 7:21� Not every one who says to me, Lord, Lord, will enter into the kingdom of the heavens; but he who is doing the will of my Father who is in heavens.�
22� Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name? and in your name did we cast out demons? and in your name did many miracles?�
23� And then I will confess to them, I never knew you: depart from me, you workers of iniquity.�
Prophets had a role in the new covenant, and then we have the wrapping up of all things and the prophets play a different role now, or is that not true?
Jude 1:4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
"The ones born of God therefore, **SIN NOT**"{???} Adam7777 also claims that we are completely sanctified and **NO LONGER SIN** the very moment we are saved.{???}
Joyce Meyer also claims that she **NO LONGER SINS** in this taped message:

And the religious world thinks that�s heresy and they want to hang you for it. But the Bible says that I�m righteous and I can�t be righteous and be a sinner at the same time � All I was ever taught to say was, �I�m a poor, miserable sinner.� I am not poor, I am not miserable and I am not a sinner. That is a lie from the pit of hell. That is what I was and if I still am then Jesus died in vain. Amen?�
**HOWEVER, WE ARE COMMANDED TO **WALK AS JESUS WALKED** {SEE JOHN 2:6} AND TO BE HOLY **AS GOD IS HOLY** {SEEI PETER 1;15,16], WHICH IS IMPOSSIBLE, AND SO WE SIN DAILY. AND WE SHOULD **DAILY** ASK GOD TO FORGIVE US OUR SINS AND PURIFY US FROM ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS**!!
I John 2:6: Whoever claims to live in Him **MUST** live as Jesus did!!

Matthew 18:21,22: Peter asked Jesus, "Lord, how many times shall I forgive **MY BROTHER** who sins against me?" Jesus answered, "I tell you, not seven times but seventy seven times!" {77 times can also be translated 70 times 7 or 490 times!!}
**IF WE DO NOT ASK THE FATHER IN JESUS NAME TO FORGIVE US OUR SINS AND REPENT OF OUR SINS GOD WILL DISCIPLINE US**!!
Revelation 3:19: Jesus says, "Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline, so be earnest and repent!!"
Hebrews 12:5-11: Do not make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not lose heart when He rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines those He loves, and He chastens **EVERYONE** {Like Peter and David} He accepts as a son! Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as His children. For what children are not disciplined by their father? IF YOU ARE NOT DISCIPLINED AND **EVERYONE** UNDERGOES DISCIPLINE--THEN YOU ARE NOT LEGITMATE--NOT TRUE SONS AND DAUGHTERS AT ALL**!! Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of spirits and live! They disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, in order that we may share in His holiness. No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it!
**THE TERRIBLE SINS OF PETER AN APOSTLE OF GOD**
Matthew 16:21-23: From that time on Jesus began to tell His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and that He must be killed and on the third day be raised to life. Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him. "Never, Lord!" he said. "This shall never happen to you!" Jesus turned and said to Peter, "Get behind Me Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me, you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns!"
Matthew 26:33-35: Peter said to Jesus, "Even if all fall away on account of You, I never will!" Jesusa answered, "Truly I tell you this very night , before the rooster crows, you will deny Me 3 times!' But Peter declared, "Even if I have tio die with You, I will never disown you!"
Matthew 26:69-75: Now Peter was sitting in the courtyard, and a servant girl came to him. "You also were with Jesus of Galilee," she said. But Peter denied it before them all. "I don't know what you are talking about," he said. Then Peter went out to the gateway, where another servant girl saw him and said to the people there, "This fellow was with Jesus of Nazareth." Peter denied it again, with an oath: "I don't know the man!" After a little while, those standing there went up to Peter and said. "Surely you are one of them, your accent gives you away." Then Peter began to call down curses, and swore to them, "I don't know the man." Immediately a rooster crowed. Then Peter remembered the words Jesus had spoken. "Before the rooster crows you will disown Me 3 times!" And Peter went outside and wept bitterly.
Galatians 2:11-16,19,21: When Peter came to Antioch I opposed him to his face, because he stood condemned. For before certain men came James, he used to eat with the Gentiles. But when they arrived he began to draw back and separate himself from the Gentiles because he was afraid of those who belonged to the circumcision group. The other Jews joined him in his hypocrisy, so that by their hypocrisy even Barnabas was led astray. When I saw that they were not acting in line with the truth iof the Gospel, I said to Peter in front of them all. "You are a Jew, yet you live like a Gentile and not like a Jew. How is it then, that you force Gentiles to follow Jewish customs? We who are Jews by birth and not sinful Gentiles know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified." ... "For through the law I died to the law so that I might live for God....I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!!"
And yet God chose Peter to preach the sermon when 3,000 Jews were saved on the Day of Pentecost and is mentioned doing good works 70 times in the book of Acts. God also inspired Peter to write two wonderful books in the God's Word named I Peter and 2 Peter!!

Notice when a false prophet’s sign or wonder comes true it amazes gullible people who then start listening to the lying prophet.
Note the false prophet has **A** sign or **A** wonder that comes true. It’s not unusual for a false prophet to issue a number of supposed prophecies but have only one prophecy come to true. This happens all the time today. Psychics, witch doctors, shamans, Joseph Smith, Nostradamus and TBN “prophets” issue many false prophecies but if just one major prophecy happens to comes true all the other false prophecies are forgotten. The fake prophet then becomes rich and famous and is christened as a “true” prophet by his gullible followers. The fake prophet then begins to appear on “Christian” TV talk shows and at churches.
