Colossians 2:15,17: Do not let any judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a **SABBATH DAY**. These are a **SHADOW* of the things that were to come, the reality, however is found **IN CHRIST**!
Acts 2:44-46: All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to everyone who had need. **EVERY DAY** they continued to meet together in the temple courts!
**EVERY DAY IS THE LORD'S DAY IN THE NEW COVENANT ESPECIALLY **TODAY**!!
Hebrews 3:13: But encourage one another **DAILY**, as long as it is called **TODAY**, so that none of you may be hardened by sins deceitfulness!!
Two times the "teacher" has to write only his own words, every day is the Lord's day. and then places a verse that says to NOT judge anyone in respect of a Sabbath day, but IS judging?
Anyway God says His own word, Jesus Christ is the same every day....
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
Where does your rest come from? Now we see the testimony of Jesus. He had no REST. He had to walk to day, and tomorrow(because Jesus is the same yesterday and today and for ever) There was no rest for Him we see...
Luke 13:33 Nevertheless I must walk to day, and to morrow, and the day following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem.
Instead of resting on the Sabbath day, the man healed and made whole on the Sabbath day, begins following in that same way as Christ, Walking and no more RESTING when he had to rest and could not walk...
John 5:9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.
That was the day the Lord made for us all, to walk in it, living in the Spirit and walking in the Spirit
Psalm 118:24 This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
Galatians 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Romans 13:13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.
In context now, I am sure the "teachers" who teach nothing will not disagree(mainly because they cant) Jesus had no rest and neither do we, we labour to enter, as Jesus laboured non stop. That is the deep reasoning of the Sabbath, it was made a rest to show how the Lord does not rest but labours for us, and the ones resting do nothing for us but rest for themselves. So sin no more or we receive worse, and once you are made whole begin walking, turn not back, or you are unworthy of His KIngdom..
Hebrews 4:8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
John 5:12 Then asked they him, What man is that which said unto thee, Take up thy bed, and walk?
13 And he that was healed wist not who it was: for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place.
14 Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.
15 The man departed, and told the Jews that it was Jesus, which had made him whole.
16 And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day.
17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.
Luke 9:61 And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house.
62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
