This is something I've noticed from time to time in the "Christian Faith", although, the modern day equivalent would be hot glue and shreds of pages from a Bible.

There are many people today, who call themselves Christian, that practice this regularly on those they would call brothers and sisters in the Lord, merely because they have a different understanding or are "newbies" and don't have as much knowledge of the scriptures.

"I'm RIGHT! You're WRONG!" seems to be a growing mindset.

"You're a HERETIC!" or "Those are HERETICAL TEACHINGS!"

Has anyone ever really considered that most "Christians" are merely "repeaters?" Repeating what they've been brainwashed to believe by the mainstream denominations? So often people turn to "church" to find God. They, in effect, turn to flawed men for the answers to their questions.

A brother here mentioned recently..."Why go to a middle man? I go to God for the answers."

This makes perfect sense to me. What Father would deny His child love and understanding?

I could post many scriptures here to validate my point, but seriously, why bother? There are already enough people on this network clubbing each other over the head with scriptures on a daily basis to prove why another person is inferior to themselves.

Is this practice of tarring and feathering really glorifying the Father?

I strongly encourage everyone here to consider this the next time you open your Bible to look for a passage to "put someone in their place."

"But they need to be told the TRUTH!"

Yeah? Who's truth? Yours or the Father's?

The next time you tar and feather someone with scriptures that are designed to promote love, compassion, caring, and understanding...think about the master you are really serving.

Tarring and feathering - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tarring_and_feathering

In a typical tar-and-feathers attack, the mob's victim was stripped to his waist. Hot tar was either poured or painted onto the person while he was immobilized. Then the victim either had feathers thrown on him or was rolled around on a pile of feathers so they stuck to the tar. Often the victim was then paraded around town on a cart or wooden rail. The aim was to inflict enough pain and humiliation on a person to make him either conform his behavior to the mob's demands or be driven from town. The practice was never an official punishment in the United States, but rather a form of vigilante attack.

A more brutal derivation, called pitchcapping, was used by British forces against Irish rebels during the period of the Irish Rebellion of 1798. Sometimes only the head was shaven, tarred and feathered; at other times, a match was held to the feathers to light them and the tar on fire to inflict pain.

Peace and love to you all,

M.

2 Timothy 3:15,16: 4:1,2: You have known the **HOLY SCRIPTURES**,which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. **ALL SCRIPTURE IS GOD-BREATHED** and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of His appearing and His kingdom, I give you this charge: **PREACH THE WORD**!! {**WHICH IS THE ENTIRE NEW COVENANT AND NEW TESTAMENT**!!}

Hi Mano,

Thanks for the post.

I have experienced being asked to leave, after the people have gone to the self proclaimed 'pastor' and complained about what i was sharing.

I find the 'christians' do not want the sinking boat to be rocked, because they might get wet.

Another tactic used by 'christians' is they shun you, and will not want you to share from the Word of GOD Almighty.

The earth will stop if someone says the 'pastor' is not speaking the truth.
