The devil is unable to repent. He's prophetically doomed for eternal damnation in hell.

Yes, it's a hypothetical.

I've kinda wondered about the devil too, would/could he ever feel guilt over all the trouble he's caused.

The devil/ Ha Satan believes, but does not FAITH into Messiah ( the demons believe, but do not FAITH; James 2 verse 19 ).

To repent means to change ones mind about GOD Almighty and I do not believe he is able to repent.

This is slightly off-topic, however, hypothetically speaking, I saw a minister talking about the two words 'God' and the 'Devil'. GOD/GOOD and DEVIL/EVIL. I thought it was an odd coincidence these two words are so easily modified with the change of just one letter.

Another off-topic hypothetical/curiosity, who is Satan/Devil, and is there an entity who has more power/authority among 'the fallen'? Are Lucifer and Beelzebul (bub) the same or are they different entities. I read one book that portrayed Beelzebu(?) as having grater power/authority (Gospel of Nicodemus). Is the word Satan a name or a title...or an organization (adversary)?

Who (or what) is the Great Dragon, the Serpent of Old as spoken of in Relation 12:9?

http://biblehub.com/revelation/12-9.htm

"And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him."

http://www.sacred-texts.com/bib/lbob/lbob10.htm

Excerpt from the Gospel of Nicodemus chapter XVIII, "14 While the prince of hell was thus speaking to Satan, the King of Glory said to Beelzebub, the prince of hell, Satan, the prince shall be subject to thy dominion for ever, in the room of Adam and his righteous sons, who are mine."

There is some interesting reading on the origins of the word Satan in Wikipedia (yes, I know it's not the most accurate of sources).

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Satan#Hebrew_Bible

And while we're talking about dragons, has anyone Googled 'Dragon Queen England' or 'Prince Charles Antichrist'.

Has anyone else noticed that the more you study, the more unanswered questions you have?

Food for thought.

Peace and love to all of you.

M.

Yes, he is unable because he is chained by his pride. BUT... as a HYPOTHETICAL... would it not be interesting to see what would happen?? Sort of the prodigal son story on steroids.

Here's my take: I have to think that the power vacuum would be filled by another powerful, fallen angel, perhaps one currently entrusted with some authority now. There would probably be in-fighting, attempted coups, factions, etc. How this would affect us, I am not sure, though I think if the demons which are single-mindedly directed to tempt us now were distracted, we'd sin less. Yes, we're still sinners, but the temptations, the coaxings to test God would be lessened. And, who knows? Maybe Lucifer would again take a few of the angels with him to repentance?

Just something to mentally play with guys. We all know how it ends.
