Hello everyone,
Yes it is me again the Truth Seeker, hehehe.
There are many verses of the Word of GOD Almighty that are taught wrongly, because people are too lazy to translate the Word from the Greek language.
If I were to teach from a section of the Scripture that has been translated wrongly, am I not teaching wrongly OR FALSELY.
I hope this particular thread will be used to show the importance to teach the sheeple how to translate the Word of GOD from the Greek and Hebrew into languages people are able to understand.
Mat 7:21
Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.
Mat 7:22
Many will say to Me on that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?
Mat 7:23
And then I will declare to them, I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.
How many times have you heard this Scripture taught, yet not really understand why Messiah answers as He does.
Many question Why does Messiah claim that He does not know these people, and says that there works are LAWLESSNESS?
Mat 7:22
Many will say to Me on that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?
When translated this would read.
Lord, Lord, we DID not prophesy to your name, we did not cast out demons to your name, not in your name did we miracles.
That is the reason for the answer from Messiah. Today people make a show of things they do, yet these are done for purposes other then the Glory of GOD Almighty.
This scripture has also been used by others to judge someone, and to condemn them.

Brother,
Please compare, for example, I corinthians 9:1 with the passage in matthew. It uses the negative in the same way as the passage from matthew.
There are other examples as well.
Also, what does the passage deal with? Is it those who are out and out publicly opposed to Christ or those who are pretending to be his?
Mat 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17 Even so every good tree bears good fruit; but a corrupt tree bears evil fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bear evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bear good fruit.
19 Every tree that doesn't bear good fruit is cut down, and cast into the fire.
20 Wherefore by their fruits you will know them.
21 Not every one that says to me, Lord, Lord, will enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name? and in your name have cast out demons ? and in your name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I say to them, I never knew you: depart from me, you who work iniquity.

There are many Charismatics like Benny Hinn who believe Some miracles were not confined just for the Apostles and that Mark 16:17,18 was part of God's Word even though the earliest inspired manuscripts did not include these verses.
Mark 16:17,18: Jesus said, "These signs will accompany those who believe : In My name they will drive out demons. They will speak in new tongues they will pick up snakes with their hands, and when they drink deadly poison, it will not harm them at all, they will place hands on sick people and they will get well."{???}
Matthew 7:21-27: Jesus says, "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but only those who **DO THE WILL** of My Father who is in heaven. Many will say to Me on that day. 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name {See Rev 22:18,19} and in your name drive our demons and in your name perform many miracles. Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from Me you evildoers1 Therefore everyone who hears these Words of mine and **PUTS THEM INTO PRACTICE** is like a wise man who built his house on a rock.... But everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand!"

Hi Montana,
Yes this is teaching about False Prophets, which there are many within the christian religion. This scripture is also used to manipulate some to where they do not say or do anything because of fear of being labeled a False prophet or false teacher.
There are so called Movements that definiteley are not of the Holy Spirit because they cannot be found within the Word of GOD Almighty.
The so called toronto blessing where people bark like dogs, and act like animals, some are supposed to be Drunk in the spirit, whatever that spirit is, i do not want that.

Amen, Brother Grace.
Acts 20:29 For I know this, that after my departure grievous wolves will enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
30 and out of you yourselves men will arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
33 I have coveted no man's silver, or gold, or apparel.
34 you yourselves know, that these hands have served my needs , and those who were with me.
35 I have showed to you all these things, that in this same manner, laboring, it is necessary to help the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that he himself said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
1Thess 2:5 For neither at any time used we flattering words, as you know, nor a cloke of covetousness; God is witness:
2Thess 3:8 Neither did we eat any man's bread for free; but working in labor and toil night and day, that we might not be burdensome to any of you:
Unfortunately, for some, religion is a profession, a means to make a living.
