Why did Peter get out of the boat to walk on the water towards Mesiah

Hello everyone, the truth seeker here.
Matthew 14 verses 1 - 34
I posted the entire context on order to have a right understanding of the Word of GOD Almighty. In verse 27 Messiah clearly proclaims that He is GOD Almighty, that is the ONLY reason Peter had gotten out of the boat.
The understanding is revealed as you translate the Word from the GREEK.
Many people teach this section of the Word of GOD wrongly, because they teach from translations that deny the DEITY of Messiah.

Matthew 14:27-33: But Jesus immediately said to them: "Take courage it is **I**, Don't be afraid." "**LORD**, if it's You," Peter replied, "Tell me to come to You on the water." "Come," He said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, "**LORD**, save me!" Immediately Jesus reached out His hand and caught him. "You of little faith," He said, "Why did you doubt?" And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. Then those who were in the boat **WORSHIPED HIM**!!
**GOD'S WORD COMMANDS THAT WE SHOULD ONLY WORSHIP GOD**!!
Matthew 4:9,10: Satan said to Jesus, "All this I will give you if you bow down and worship me." Jesus said to him, Away from Me Satan! For it is written, '**WORSHIP THE LORD YOUR GOD** and serve Him only!
Revelation 22:8,9: I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who had been showing them to me. But he said to me, "**DON'T DO THAT** A am a fellow servant with you and with your fellow prophets and with all who **KEEP THE WORDS** of this scroll. **WORSHIP GOD**!!
Hebrews 1:6,8: When God brings His firstborn into the world He says, "Let all God's angels **WORSHIP HIM**.... About the Son He says, "Your throne, **O GOD**, will last for ever and ever, a scepter of justice will be the scepter of **YOUR KINGDOM**!"
Matthew 28:18-20: Jesus says, "**ALL AUTHORITY**in heaven and on earth has been given to **ME**. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always!"
**JESUS CHRIST, OUR GREAT GOD AND SAVIOR**
Jesus is **WORSHIPED** many times in God's Word in Matthew 2:2,8,11; 14:33; 28:9,17 Luke 24:52 John 9:38 and Revelation 5:14 and !5:4!!
Matthew 2:10,11: When the Wise Men saw the star, they were overjoyed. On coming to the house, they saw the Child with His mother Mary, and they bowed down and **WORSHIPED HIM**!
Matthew 14:33; Then those who were in the boat **WORSHPED HIM**!!
Matthew 28:8,9: So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell His disciples. Suddenly Jesus met them. "Greetings," He said. They came to Him, clasped His feet and **WORSHIPED HIM**!
Matthew 28:16,17: Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When the saw Him, they **WORSHIPED HIM**!
There are some who completely ignore these Scriptures and claim that Jesus is not God because he said that the Father is greater than me in John 14:28 and that the Father told Him what to say as per John 14:23,24: Jesus says, "Anyone who loves Me will obey My teaching. My Father will love them, and We will come to them and make our home with them. Anyone who does not love Me will not obey My teaching. The words you hear are not My own; they belong to the Father who sent Me."
John 9:37,38: Jesus said, "You have now seen Him; in fact, He is the one speaking with you!" Then the man said, "Lord, I believe," and he **WORSHIPED HIM**!
NOTE: Jesus is called the **LAMB** 30 times in the book of Revelation!
Revelation 5:13,14: Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, an all that is In them, saying "To Him who sits on the throne and to the **LAMB** be praise and honor and glory and power for ever and ever!" The 4 living creatures said, "Amen," and the elders fell down and **WORSHIPED**!
Revelation 17:14; They will wage war against the **LAMB**, but the **LAMB** will overcome them because He is **LORD** of lords and King of kings--and with Him will be His **CALLED**, *CHOSEN** and **FAITHFUL** followers!!
Why did Peter get out of the boat to walk on the water towards Mesiah

Hi Prof, nice try but you do not have the correct answer.
First lets look at those that are involved with this situation.
Copied from the NASB version
Mat 14:21
There were about five thousand men who ate, besides women and children.
Mat 14:22
Immediately He made the disciples get into the boat and go ahead of Him to the other side, while He sent the crowds away.
Mat 14:23
After He had sent the crowds away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray; and when it was evening, He was there alone.
Mat 14:24
But the boat was already a long distance from the land, battered by the waves; for the wind was contrary.
Mat 14:25
And in the fourth watch of the night He came to them, walking on the sea.
Mat 14:26
When the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were terrified, and said, It is a ghost! And they cried out in fear.
Mat 14:27
But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid.
Mat 14:28
Peter said to Him, Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.
Mat 14:29
And He said, Come! And Peter got out of the boat, and walked on the water and came toward Jesus.
Mat 14:30
But seeing the wind, he became frightened, and beginning to sink, he cried out, Lord, save me!
Mat 14:31
Immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and took hold of him, and *said to him, You of little faith, why did you doubt?
Mat 14:32
When they got into the boat, the wind stopped.
Mat 14:33
And those who were in the boat worshiped Him, saying, You are certainly Gods Son!
We have Messiah Yeshua, Peter and the other disciples / Learners of Messiah.
The disciples are in a boat that is being battered by the waves of the sea during a storm, Messiah approaches them while walking upon or UP ON the water. The discples become afraid when they see Him thinking He is a ghost or a spirit.
In verse 27 Messiah says Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid.
Then Peter says;Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.
Lets stop here and ask a few questions before we look into the translation.
First lets see who Peter is, Peter is a Hebrew, a Jew he is one of the men that had become one of His disciples / LEARNERS.
What language would Peter have spoken, Hebrew, maybe a little Greek.
What name(s) of GOD Almighty would Peter have known, say I AM being one .
Suppose we talk with a Jewish man about this section of the Scriptures, and He reads ' It is I, do not be afraid' what might his response be. He might say,SO it is I , NO big deal, even I could say It is I.
Let's how YOUNGS LITERAL TRANSLATION has translated this.
Matthew 14 verse 27
and immediately Jesus spake to them, saying, 'Be of good courage, I AM , be not afraid.'
Notice the name of GOD Almighty used by Messiah I AM.
Now suppose we share this with the same Jewish man, His response would be a lot different, because he knows Messiah is saying that he is GOD Do not be afraid, or fear.
Then what does Peter say, LORD IF it is you, command me to come to you on the water, Messiah says COME.
THE ONLY reason Peter had gotten out of the boat was that Messiah said that He is I AM,
Exodus 3:13
Then Moses said to God, Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, The God of your fathers has sent me to you, and they say to me, What is His name? what shall I say to them?
Exodus 3:14
And God said to Moses, I AM WHO I AM. And He said, Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, I AM has sent me to you.
then Peter responds IF it is you (THE I AM, implied language), Command me to come to you, Messiah says COME.
Later Peter begins to sink after he sees the wind, and begins to sink, What does Messiah say; YOU of LITTLE faith, why did you doubt.

Nice try at defending your triune god; but...
Exodus 3:14 -- ehyeh asher ehyey --- is often rendered "I am that I am." This is incorrect.
As Wikipedia explains in "I am that I am," it reads:
It is one of the most famous verses in the Torah. Hayah means "existed" or "was" in Hebrew; "ehyeh" is the first person singular imperfect form and is usually translated in English Bibles as "I will be" (or "I shall be"), for example, at Exodus 3:14. Ehyeh asher ehyeh literally translates as "I Will Be What I Will Be", with attendant theological and mystical implications in Jewish tradition. However, in most English Bibles, in particular the King James Version, this phrase is rendered as I am that I am.
