The moment we give our lives to Jesus we enter into a relationship with the living God. Like all healthy relationships, it is a two way street of love, dedication and communication. Did you know that God loves it when you talk to him and that he actually enjoys talking to you? I fear that many people mistakenly see God as indifferent and uninterested in their lives. Nothing could be further from the truth. God is an intimate lover and a caring Father who adores his children and loves to talk to them. He is always reaching out to draw us into intimate fellowship with himself.
How sad it would be to not hear God�s voice simply because we don�t realize the ways in which he likes to speak. The primary way that God speaks to us is through the Bible which is our anchor for life and the reference point by which we judge all other supernatural experiences. However, the Bible itself testifies that God also speaks to people through many different means.
One of the most common ways that God communicated with people in the Bible was through dreams and visions, and he still does so today. Acts 2:17 prophesies over our generation: �In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.� What do prophecy, visions, and dreams all have in common? All three involve God speaking to his people. For us to ignore dreams and visions as a legitimate way that God communicates is to limit our intimate fellowship with our Savior. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. The fact that God communicates with us through dreams makes me so happy! What an adventure we get to embark on with the living God. To hear his voice is glorious, empowering us to know him and to overcome adversity.

Revelation 1:1-3: The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants what must take place. He made it known by sending His angel to His servant John, who testifies to everything he saw--that is, the **WORD OF GOD** and the testimony of Jesus Christ. Blessed is the one who reads the **WORDS OF THIS PROPHECY**, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it!!
Revelation 22:16,18,19: "I, Jesus have sent My angel to give this testimony for the churches... I warn everyone who reads the words of this prophecy of this book. If anyone **ADDS** anything to them God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone **TAKES WORDS AWAY** from this book of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the Tree of Life and in the Holy City, which are described in this book!!"
I Corinthians 13:8-10: But where are there are prophecies, they will **CEASE**, where there are tongues, they will be **STILLED*; .. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when **COMPLETENESS COMES**, what is in part *DISAPPEARS!!
Before the New covenant was **COMPLETED** with Revelation in AD 96 there was a need for the early church to have dreams, visions and revelations from God. Once the perfect Word of God was completed and distributed to all the churches there was no longer any need for dreams, visions and revelations from God; since God's Perfect Word **ANSWERS EVERY QUESTION AND PROBLEM WE MAY HAVE**!!
**JESUS SAYS, "MY MOTHER AND BROTHERS ARE THOSE WHO HEARS **GOD'S WORD** AND **PUTS IT INTO PRACTICE**!" {Luke 8:21}
Psalm 119 has 176 verses praising the Word of God. The Old Testament had 613 laws and the New Covenant of Jesus and His love has about 400 commands which Psalm 119 also applies to. Some of my favorite verses is Psalm 119 are:
119:105: Your Word is a Lamp to my feet and a Light for my path.
119:97: Oh how I love your law, I meditate on it all day long.
119:148: My eyes stay open through the watches of the night, that I meditate on your promises.
119:164: Seven times a day I praise you for your righteous laws.
119:16: All your Words are true; all your righteous laws are eternal.
119:169: Give me understanding according to your Word.
119:2: Blessed are those who keep His statues and seek Him with all your heart.
119:11: I have hidden your Word in my heart that I might not sin against You.
119:28: Strengthen me according to your Word.
Deut 18:17-19: The Lord says, "I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brothers; I will put My words in His mouth, and He will tell them everything I command Him. If anyone does not listen to My words that the Prophet speaks in My Name, I Myself will call Him to account."
John 14:23,24: Jesus says, "If anyone loves Me, He will **OBEY MY TEACHING**! My Father will love Him, and we will come to him and make Our home with him. He who does not love Me will not obey My teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent Me."
THE GREAT COMMISSION: Matthew 28:18-20: Jesus says, �All authority in heaven and on *EARTH has been given to Me {Not some RC Pope}. All men are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field, the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the **WORD OF THE LORD STANDS FOREVER**. And this is the **WORD** that was preached to you.
Matthew 24:35: Jesus says, Heaven and earth will pass away, but **MY WORDS WILL NEVER PASS AWAY**!"
I John 2:3-5: We know we have come to know Him {Jesus} if we obey His commands. The man who says, "I know Him," but does not do what He commands is a liar and the truth is not in him. But if anyone **OBEYS HIS WORD**, God's love is truly made complete in him!
Matthew 4:4: Jesus says, "Man does not live on bread alone, but on **EVERY WORD FROM THE MOUTH OF GOD**!"
Matthew 7:24,26: Jesus says, "Everyone who hears these **WORDS OF MINE** and **PUTS THEM INTO PRACTICE** is like a wise man who built his house on a Rock... But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand."

Romans 10:17: Consequently, **FAITH COMES FROM HEARING THE MESSAGE**, and the message is heard **THROUGH THE WORD OF CHRIST**!

You insist miracles, prophetic dreams and such are taking place today but you don't provide the appropriate justification.
You quote Heb 13:8, "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and forever...", to proof-text your proposition but you ignore the original context for that verse.
If indeed "miracles and dreams" are happening today, as you contend, where are they taking place?? If Heb13:8 applies the way you insist, then show us the crowds of people now experiencing INSTANTANEOUS healing, as in the days Jesus!!
As you should know, "Jesus went about healing ALL manner of sickness and ALL manner of disease..." Matt 9:5. Jesus healed ALL who came to him. No one was turned away!! NOT ONE!!
Now, in light of that, let's consider today's "miracle healings". Many people attending modern "healing" services are not healed or are sometimes turned away. Furthermore, those supposedly experiencing "miraculous" healings share characteristics similar to the experiences of placebo participants. Placebo "healings" are therefore nothing less than a mere "sugar-pill-healing". Thus, modern manifestations of "miracles" are on level with other kinds of hit-and-miss or false healings experienced by or that typify false miracles associated within psychic, witchdoctor, shaman and hypnotic healing circles!
Prince007, I ask you: how do placebo "healings", so distinct from actual biblical healing, bring glory to God!? If Jesus' healings are indeed no different than hypnotic "healings" then modern observers must conclude that Jesus' healings are not so special or different than psychic healings !!!
You can not aviod entrapment by this kind of bad-bind thinking whenever you create your own definition of miracle. Look to the Bible only!! The Bible clearly distinguishes the miraculous!
