What a wonderful verse!



Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope."



That's a wonderful verse indeed, but I have been so disappointed many times...: It's certainly not about a great husband and family life on earth. One cannot read into the text what isn't there. Look at the context. Look at the whole Bible. Anyone who holds to that position adds to the Word and should be avoided according to God's Will (Romans 16:17)



The only great Husband that the whole Church waits for is Christ. Christians enjoy the sure hope of salvation and a future in Heaven... and that is peace, that is a future, that is hope!
