The law the Lord gave is not an unrighteous one, but a righteous law. Jesus of course came not to destroy Gods law, but He came to fulfill it. No part of the law, not one jot, not one tittle passes away from the law. If one of the least commandments of the law is broken, we are the least, and if we do not do righteousness, we do not enter the kingdom of Heaven ever.
1 Now instead of killing your brother and being guilty, we are guilty for being angry with our brother.
2 Now instead of being guilty for commiting adultery, we are guilty for looking lustfully on a woman and it is adultery as in the law, already..
3 Now we cannot divorce for uncleanness. Now we do more, we make ourself a eunuch for the Kingdom of Heavens sake.
4 Now we make vows without swearing by Heaven or earth, now we keep what we vow, Jesus came against those who swear falsely, not to stop vows at all.
5 Now we do not return eye for eye, we return blessing, and that blessing returns to us, this is the increased way of the law to overcome evil, with good...
6 It was said to hate our enemy, it was also said to help your enemy, feeding our enemy heaps coals of fire of judgement on his head, the magnified law Christ set in the world...
Deuteronomy 4:8 And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?
Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
21 Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
31 It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:
32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
34 But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne:
35 Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.
38 Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:
39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
Matthew 19:8 He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.
9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.
10 His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry.
11 But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given.
12 For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.
Matthew 7:12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
Mathew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Deuteronomy 24:1 When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favor in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house.
Ezekiel 11:19 And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh:
Romans 14:14 I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
Malachi 3:2 But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap:
3 And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.
5 And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, saith the LORD of hosts.
propjetic wrote:
"Paul did approve of 4 unbelieving Jews to take a **VOW** in Acts 21:23 but this took place **BEFORE** The book of Matthew was written about AD 65 where Jesus condemned taking vows in the NT Covenant as per Matthew 5:33-37: "
All false information from propjetic. The Jews were BELIEVERS...
Acts 21:20 And when they heard it, they glorified the Lord, and said unto him, THOU SEEST, BROTHER, HOW MANY THOUSANDS OF JEWS THERE ARE WHICH BELIEVE; and they are all zealous of the law:
21 And they are informed of thee, that thou teachest all the Jews which are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, saying that they ought not to circumcise their children, neither to walk after the customs.
24 Them take, and purify thyself with them, and be at charges with them, that they may shave their heads: and all may know that those things, whereof they were informed concerning thee, are nothing; but that thou thyself also walkest orderly, and keepest the law.
Paul did a vow himself, because we can do vows, just not swear, because all belongs to the Lord. Paul received the Gospel directly from Christ, after Christ had lived and preached the Gospel and all things brought to remembrance of Matthew. To say Paul did against Christ and did not know about the Gospel of Christ, is and false and desperate...
Galatians 1:11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Acts 18:18 And Paul after this tarried there yet a good while, and then took his leave of the brethren, and sailed thence into Syria, and with him Priscilla and Aquila; having shorn his head in Cenchrea: for he had a vow.
Romans 12:17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
Matthew 10:13 And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.
Exodus 23:4 If thou meet thine enemy's ox or his donkey going astray, thou shalt surely bring it back to him again.
5 If thou see the donkey of him that hateth thee lying under his burden, and wouldest forbear to help him, thou shalt surely help with him.
No part of the law is diminished, the righteousness of the testimonies of the law of God are everlasting, who can show otherwise, when it is so simple and straightforward to see..
Psalms 119:144 The righteousness of thy testimonies is everlasting: give me understanding, and I shall live.
James 2:8 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:
9 But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.
10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.
12 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.
For every scripture that says we are without law, and we are saved by faith without the deeds of the law, we are very much under the law, but to Christ. He is our mediator and is the way, and the law through Christ is established, the law was weak through the flesh, but the Spirit of Christ is given and now we are able to fulfill the righteousness of the law. All is explained for people in the gospel, the law was not done away with, because it is magnified, and changed, not disappeared.
1 Sacrifices continue, our bodies are the living sacrifice, offering to God spiritual sacrifices.
2 The sabbath is increased, not decreased, every day is holy to the Lord working with the Lord as the Lord works the sabbath too.
3 To the man that perceives something is unclean, to him it is unclean. Uncleanness continues, to the defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure. The Lord cleaned the Gentiles, the heart with a right Spirit. Hence why some animals were unclean, they were to be compared to the unclean Gentiles, until cleaned by the Lord.
4 Circumcision became real, not done away with. True circumcision, of the heart, and then our flesh is controlled fully. Circumcision of the flesh is only a beginning, circumcision by the Spirit means the believer now keeps the righteousness of the law, fulfilling the law and not transgressing the law, as sin is the transgression of the law, if we transgress the law we do not have Christ...
1 Corinthians 9:21 To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.
Romans 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Isaiah 42:21 The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable.
Isaiah 52:15 So shall he sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider.
Hebrews 7:11 If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?
12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.
Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
1 Peter 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
John 5:16 And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day.
17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.
Romans 14:14 I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
Titus 1:15 Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
Mark 7:18 And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him;
19 Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats?
20 And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man.
21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
23 All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.
Psalms 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
Acts 10:12 Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
13 And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.
14 But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.
15 And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.
Acts 10:28 And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.
Romans 2:26 Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?
27 And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law?
28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
Philippians 3:3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.
1 John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
2 John 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
What reward do people think they receive ? There is no description of any reward at all, salvation is the only reward, or rewarded with death...
Romans 2:4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:
8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
IS IT OK TO EAT LOBSTER TAIL, SHRIMP AND HAM ACCORDING TO THE NT COVENANT??
Mark 7:18-23: Jesus says, "Are you so dull. Don't you see that nothing that enters a man can make him *UNCLEAN*? For it doesn't into his heart but into his stomach, and then out of his body. In saying this Jesus declared **ALL FOODS CLEAN**!" He then said: "What comes out of a man that makes him unclean. For from within, out of men's hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. All these evils come from **INSIDE** and make a man **UNCLEAN!!"
Acts 10:9-16: Peter went up on the roof to pray. He became hungry and wanted something to eat, and while the meal was being prepared, he fell into a trance. He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by the four corners. It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles of the earth and birds of the air. Then a Voice told him, "Get up, Peter, kill and **EAT**!" "Surely not, Lord!" Peter replied. "I have never eaten anything impure or unclean." The Voice spoke to him a second time, "Do not call anything impure that **GOD HAS MADE CLEAN**!"{As per Mark 7:19 above) This happened **THREE TIMES**!, and the sheet was taken back to heaven!
I Timothy 4:1-5: The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through **HYPOCRITICAL LIARS**, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. They forbid people to marry and order them **TO ABSTAIN FROM CERTAIN FOODS**, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. For everything God created is good, and **NOTHING IS TO BE REJECTED** if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer!!
I Corinthians 10:25: Eat **ANYTHING** sold in the meat market without raising questions of conscience, for, "The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it!"
Colossians 2:15,16: Therefore do not let anyone judge you by **WHAT YOU EAT** or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a **SHADOW** of the things that were to come, the reality, however, is found in Christ!!
Actually TNT you have apparently forgotten that the forbidding to eat certain animals birds and fish was strictly in the OT Covenant for Jews. According to Noah's Covenant and Adam's Covenant God allowed people to eat everything with the breath of life in it!!!!!
God's First Covenant with Adam:
Genesis 1:29,30: Then God said, "give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it They will be yours for food. And to **ALL THE BEASTS OF THE EARTH** and **ALL** the birds of the air and **ALL** the creatures that move on the ground--**EVERYTHING** that has the breath of life in it..for food!"
God's Second Covenant with Noah:
Genesis 9:1-3: Then God blessed Noah and his sons, saying to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth. The fear and dread of you will fall upon all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air, upon every creature that moves along the ground, and upon all the fish of the sea, they are given to your hands. **EVERYTHING** that lives and moves will be **FOOD FOR YOU**!!
What is the OT command concerning *VOWS* and *OATHS*??
Numbers 30:2: Moses said, "This is what the Lord commands: When a man makes a *VOW* to the Lord or takes an *OATH* to obligate himself by a pledge, he must not break his word but must do everything he said!"
What are the NT commands concerning making *VOWS* and **OATHS*??
James 5:12: "ABOVE ALL, my brothers, do not swear--not by heaven or by earth or by anything else. Let your "Yes" be yes, and your "No," no, or you will be condemned.!!"
Matthew 5:33-37: Jesus says, "You have heard that it was said to your people long ago {Numbers 30:2 above}, 'Do not break your oath, but keep the oaths you have made to the Lord.' BUT I tell you, Do not swear at all....Simply let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No, 'No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one!!"
WE ARE NO LONGER UNDER THE LAW OF MOSES BUT ONLY UNDER THE LAWS OF JESUS CHRIST AND THE NT!!
Luke 16:16: Jesus says, "The {OT} Law and the {OT} Prophets were proclaimed until John {The Baptist}. Since that time, the good news of the Kingdom of God is being preached!!"
Galatians 3:23-25: "Before faith came, we were held prisoners by the law, locked up until faith should be revealed. So the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ that we might be justified by faith. Now that faith has come, *WE* ARE NO LONGER UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF THE LAW!!"
Galatians 2:14-16: Paul said, When I saw that they were not acting in line with the truth of the gospel, I said to Peter in front of them all, "You are a Jew, yet you live like a Gentile and not like a Jew. How is it, then that you force Gentiles to follow Jewish customs? We who are Jews by birth and not 'Gentile sinners' know that a man is NOT justified by observing the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by observing the law, because by observing the law no one will be justified.!"
Galatians 2:20,21: The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!"
Galatians 3:10-13: "All who rely on observing the law are under a curse, for it is written "Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law." Clearly no one is justified before God by the law, because, "The righteous will live by faith." The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, "The man who does these things will live by them." Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us!
Hebrews 7:18,19: The former regulation is SET ASIDE because it was weak and useless; for the law made nothing perfect, and a better hope is introduced, by which we draw near to God.!
Hebrews 8:8,9,13: "The time is coming." says the Lord, "when I will make a New Covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah".... By calling this Covenant "NEW", He has made the first one OBSOLETE; and what is OBSOLETE and aging will soon disappear."
Hebrews 8:6: But the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the covenant of which He is Mediator is SUPERIOR TO THE OLD ONE, and it is founded on better promises.
I Corinthians 9:21: I am under Christ's Law!!
Matthew 28:20: Jesus says, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations... teaching them to **OBEY EVERYTHING I HAVE COMMANDED YOU**!"
All of the OT Sabbath laws have been eliminated. Both Jesus and His Father have declared all foods are now clean. All of the OT sacrificial and temple laws have been eliminated. All of the stoning to death laws for breaking the law have been eliminated. All of the laws concerning an eye for an eye and making oaths have been eliminated. Circumcision laws have been eliminated. Loving one another as Jesus loved us has replaced loving one another as you love yourself.
Their about 400 NT laws to be obeyed with *LOVE* in the hope of countless eternal rewards for faithful and loving service has replaced the 613 OT laws.
If people want to follow the example of Christ and Paul, we see sabbath is every day, we see keeping the laws, to not do adultery, false swearing, simple vows instead as Paul did, Gentiles are now clean, as the kingdom of Heaven is not food and drink, we sacrifice to the Lord as a living sacrifice by our bodies, we are the circumcision, eye for eye is by not resisting evil to overcome it, and stoning is spiritual, by feeding your enemy to heap coals of fire on the head.
That's actual shown facts though, which do not suit some people..
SAVATION IS THE FREE **GIFT OF GOD** NOT BY WORKS SO THAT NO ONE CAN BOAST!!
Ephesians 2:4-10: But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions--it is by Grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages He might show the incomparable riches of His GRACE, expressed in His kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by Grace you have been saved, through **FAITH**--and this is NOT from yourselves, it is the **GIFT OF GOD**--not by works; so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do!
John 6:37,39,44,65: Jesus says, "All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and whoever comes to Me I will **NEVER** drive away...And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that I shall **LOSE NONE** of all that He has given Me, but raise them up at the Last Day... No one can come to Me **UNLESS** the Father who sent Me draws him, and I will raise them up at the Last Day!... No one can come to Me **UNLESS** the Father has **ENABLED** them!!"
Here everything is in order. The prophecy of the Lord coming to not destroy His law, but to fulfill it. The Lord also gives His law to the isles, to the Gentiles. The law continues for the Jews in their customs, for the Gentiles it is magnified, made honourable, so the righteousness of the law is done.
Isaiah 42:4 He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.
5 Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:
6 I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;
Isaiah 42:21 The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable.
Christ confirms this Himself, because He did not come to destroy the law at all, He can only do as He said in the Old testament. No part of the law disappeared. The law and the prophets are now explained, to do to others, is the law and the prophets, which is fully alive.
Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.
18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Matthew 7:12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
Again Jesus is asked, what the great commandments in the law are, to love God wit all of our strength, and our neighbour as ourselves, and that is all the law, it is the heart of the law or the Spirit of the law.
Matthew 22:36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
The law and the prophets were until John. No jot or tittle passes from the law. It is increased in righteousness, and decreased in the letter. Now a soft heart is given, we cannot divorce because of a hard heart feeling, or it is adultery which in the law is punishable by death and on judgement day will result in same.
Luke 16:16 The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.
17 And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.
18 Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery.
Jesus wants us to judge righteously, the law of Moses was given from the Lord in Holiness, Christ makes us even more Holy, and Holiness in the law cannot be broken.
John 7:23 If a man on the sabbath day receive circumcision, that the law of Moses should not be broken; are ye angry at me, because I have made a man every whit whole on the sabbath day?
24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
Jesus shows He keeps the law in righteousness, not dropping any part of it that is right.
John 8:17 It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true.
18 I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.
Again Jesus compares the law and how the word of God is kept, and Christ confirms the same way as the law to show He is the Son of God.
John 10:34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;
36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?
False witnesses said they spoke againt the law, and Jesus did not change the customs Moses gave the Jews.
Acts 6:13 And set up false witnesses, which said, This man ceaseth not to speak blasphemous words against this holy place, and the law:
14 For we have heard him say, that this Jesus of Nazareth shall destroy this place, and shall change the customs which Moses delivered us.
Those customs of the Jews, did not continue for the Gentiles, only what is necessary and righteous, such as the life is in the blood so not touch the blood, and no fornication or idol worship.
Acts 15:28 For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;
29 That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.
Again when the believing Jews wanted Paul to confirm he keeps the law, he did confirm it. To walk orderly, and to keep the customs, as he was a Jew too. for Gentiles it is the righteous teaching to continue in the law, no fornication and no idolatry.
Acts 21:21 And they are informed of thee, that thou teachest all the Jews which are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, saying that they ought not to circumcise their children, neither to walk after the customs.
22 What is it therefore? the multitude must needs come together: for they will hear that thou art come.
23 Do therefore this that we say to thee: We have four men which have a vow on them;
24 Them take, and purify thyself with them, and be at charges with them, that they may shave their heads: and all may know that those things, whereof they were informed concerning thee, are nothing; but that thou thyself also walkest orderly, and keepest the law.
25 As touching the Gentiles which believe, we have written and concluded that they observe no such thing, save only that they keep themselves from things offered to idols, and from blood, and from strangled, and from fornication.
Acts 25:8 While he answered for himself, Neither against the law of the Jews, neither against the temple, nor yet against Caesar, have I offended any thing at all.
The doers of the law are justified. the righteousness of the law written in the heart...
Romans 2:13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
Romans 2:14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
Romans 2:15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)
By the deeds of the law nobody is justified, it is a law to not do sin, but there was no man without sin, none that does good, now the righteousness of God without the law, by faith of Christ.
Ecclesiastes 7:20 For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.
Romans 3:12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Romans 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
A man is justified by the law of faith. Without the deeds of the law.
Romans 3:27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
This however does not make the law VOID. God forbid. This ESTABLISHES THE LAW.
Romans 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
The law is holy just and good, the law is Spiritual, but man without Christ is carnal. Man cannot keep the righteousness of the law. Because the law is good, and man is not good. With the mind man serves the law of God, and with his flesh the law of sin.
Romans 7:13 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
14 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
15 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
16 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
17 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
Romans 7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
We are free form the law of sin and death, as the law was weak through the flesh, as man as carnal has no abilities for the Spiritual law. Now the righteousness of the law is fulfilled in us, who are after the Spirit. The carnal mind is not subject to the law of God, and they in the flesh cannot please God.
Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
Israel is the example of trying to follow the law in righteousness, and being unable. Because to fulfill the righteousness of the law we need righteous faith in Christ.
Romans 9:31 But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.
32 Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;
Christ is the magnification of the law, for us to fulfill the righteousness of the law, of loving others through Christ's Spirit which is love, to not work ill to our neighbour but to keep the law to not sin,(as sin is the transgression of the law)....
Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
Romans 13;8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
The law is current in righteousness, women commanded to be under obedience as also says the law..
1 Corinthians 14:34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law.
We are not justified by te law, but by faith in Christ, the righteousness of the law through Christ our righteousness in our heart. The just walk by faith, the also do no unrighteousness, the righteousness of the law fulfilled in us..
Galatians 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Galatians 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
We were under the school master of the law, to bring us to faith in Christ, all we learned of the law is not dropped, we retain the knowledge we learned, all the righteousness of the law is done in us...
Galatians 3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
The law is good, not bad, the law is made for unlawful doers. The law was not thrown away, but changed, made more holy, more loving, more kinder, and more just..
1 Timothy 1:8 But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;
9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;
11 According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.
Hebrews 7:12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.
Hebrews 7:19 For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.
We are not allowed to transgress the law, or offend in one point, no adultery, no killing, no stealing, not even looking on a woman lustfully, or being angry with our brother, and giving all away instead too, as all was magnified in honor in the law of liberty..
Paul says things too deep for people. Righteousness will be missing, as people try to promote their own agendas. But all scriptures go together, not some, but all.
The law is all abandoned, only the confusion people try to say we are not justified by the works of the law, BECAUSE, we are justified by faith in Christ, who also shows the laws continue, but this time written in the heart in the righteousness of the law, not by the letter.
2 Peter 3:15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
"FOR THE LAW WAS GIVEN THROUGH MOSES BUT GRACE AND TRUTH CAME THROUGH JESUS CHRIST!!"
There are 613 commandments or laws of Moses. About 50 of the laws are about sacrificing thousands of animals on the temple altar for the forgiveness of sins since without the shedding of blood there can be no forgiveness of sins. When Jesus was sacrificed for the forgiveness of sins these OT laws for the sacrificing of thousands of animals was **FULFILLED** and **THEN** these sacrificial laws of Moses were completely eliminated!!
Hebrews 10:11-18: Day after day every priest performs his religious duties again and again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But when this Priest had offered for all time **ONE SACRIFICE FOR SINS**, He sat down at the right hand of God... Because by **ONE SACRIFICE** He has made ***PERFECT FOREVER*** those who are being made holy. The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he says: "This is the covenant I will make with them after that time says the Lord. I will put My laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds." The he adds" Their sins and lawless acts I will remember **NO MORE**." And when these have been forgiven, there is **NO LONGER ANY SACRIFICE FOR SIN**!!
Isaiah 53:5,6: But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds we are healed. We all like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all!!
And so Jesus completely **FULFILLED** the Law for the sacrifices for sin!!
Matthew 5:17,18: Jesus says, "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I have not come to abolish them but to **FULFILL THEM**!! I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law **UNTIL EVERYTHING IS ACCOMPLISHED**!!"
Now anyone who tells you that Jesus did not change many other OT Laws is a Satanic liar!!
For example: there are about 20 Laws of Moses concerning the eating of certain animals in Leviticus 11:1--47. These laws were changed when God inspired Mark to write the book of Mark about AD 65:
IS IT OK TO EAT LOBSTER TAIL, SHRIMP AND HAM ACCORDING TO THE NT COVENANT WHICH WAS FORBIDDEN IN THE LAWS OF MOISES IN LEVITICUS 11:1-47??
Romans 3:22-25,27,28: This righteousness from God comes through **FAITH** in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God promised Him as a sacrifice of atonement , through **FAITH** in His blood!!....Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded . On what principle? On that of observing the law? No, but that of **FAITH**! For we maintain that a man is justified by **FAITH** **APART FROM OBSERVING THE LAW**!
So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and **NOT BY OBSERVING THE LAW**, because by observing the law no one will be justified.!"
Galatians 2:20,21: The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!"
Galatians 3:10-13: "All who rely on observing the law are under a curse, for it is written "Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law." Clearly no one is justified before God by the law, because, "The righteous will live by faith." The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, "The man who does these things will live by them." Christ redeemed us from the **CURSE OF THE LAW** by becoming a curse for us!
And so the **FULLFILLMENT OF THE LAW WAS COMPLETELY ACCOMPLISHED** when the last book of Revelation was written around AD 96!!
And anyone who tells you we are now under the **SUPERVISION OF THE OT LAW** is contradicting the sacred Words of God!!
You keep screaming, but you have no wisdom in you mister prophetic.
Now calm yourself down, and read more carefully. Christ did one sacrifice, as the High priest in His priesthood. 1 Peter 2 , the living stone chosen of God, and WE ALSO, as lively stones, ARE A HOLY PRIESTHOOD, TO ALSO OFFER UP SPIRITUAL SACRIFICES TO GOD BY JESUS CHRIST...
I will put My laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds." The he adds" Their sins and lawless acts I will remember **NO MORE**."
1 Peter 2:4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,
5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
1 Now instead of killing your brother and being guilty, we are guilty for being angry with our brother.
2 Now instead of being guilty for commiting adultery, we are guilty for looking lustfully on a woman and it is adultery as in the law.
3 Now we cannot divorce for uncleanness. We make ourself a eunuch for the Kingdom of Heavens sake. Matthew 19:9-12
4 Now we make vows without swearing by Heaven or earth, we keep what we vow, by our yes being yes. Jesus came against those who swear falsely, not to stop vows. Paul received the Gospel from Christ, we see the Gospel allowing Paul to vow. Acts 18:18. Malachi 3:5
5 Now we do not return eye for eye, we return blessing, and that blessing returns to us, this is the increased way of the law to overcome evil, with good. Luke 10:5-6. Romans 12:14/17. Hebrews 10:30
6 It was said to hate our enemy, it was also said to help your enemy, feeding our enemy heaps coals of fire of judgement on his head, a Spiritual stoning, the magnified law Christ set in the world. Romans 12:19-21
7 To enter life we keep the commandments, to not steal, and now contrawise we give all away also.
8 Sacrifices continue, our bodies are the living sacrifice, offering to God spiritual sacrifices. 1 Peter 2:5. Romans 12:1
9 The sabbath is increased, not decreased, every day is now holy to the Lord. Revelation 4:8
10 The man that perceives something is unclean, to him it is unclean. to the defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure. The Lord cleaned the Gentiles, cleaned the heart with a right Spirit. Hence why some animals were unclean, the same as Gentiles.1 Corinthians 9 confrims it was not spoken about animals at all. Romans 14:14. Titus 1:15. Psalms 51:10. Acts 10:28. 1 Corinthians 9:9-10
11 Circumcision of the heart and Spirit. Circumcision of the flesh is a token, circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith, the believer keeping the righteousness of the law, fulfilling the law not transgressing, (We are the circumcision, Philippians 3:3), (sin is the transgression of the law). Romans 2:26-29. Romans 4:11.
44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
Matthew 19:16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,
19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?
21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
"There are 613 commandments or laws of Moses. About 50 of the laws are about sacrificing thousands of animals on the temple altar for the forgiveness of sins since without the shedding of blood there can be no forgiveness of sins. When Jesus was sacrificed for the forgiveness of sins these OT laws for the sacrificing of thousands of animals was **FULFILLED** and **THEN** these sacrificial laws of Moses were completely eliminated!!"
Now the real truth. Christ sent us forth as lambs. It was in the law animals to sacrifice their blood. By the law all things are purged with blood. Christ (the lamb of God) gave His blood to stop the animal sacrificed blood, but notice below it says SACRIFICES....
Luke 10:3 Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves.
Hebrews 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
23 It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves WITH BETTER SACRIFICES than these.
So Heavenly sacrifices, Christ sacrificed Himself, His blood, we also in our Priesthood offer up sacrifices to the Lord, we being the lambs offer up our own blood, so the sacrifice of lambs did not cease at all but now became us and Spiritual sacrifices and Heavenly when before it was of the earth..
Revelation 6:9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar THE SOULS of them that were SLAIN FOR THE WORD OF GOD, and for the testimony which they held:
10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, HOW LONG, O LORD, HOLY AND TRUE, DOST THOU NOT JUDGE AND AVENGE OUR BLOOD on them that dwell on the earth?
1 Peter 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a ROYAL PRIESTOOD, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;
Revelation 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
6 And hath MADE US KINGS AND PRIESTS unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
Revelation 5:9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
10 And HAST MADE US UNTO OUR GOD KINGS AND PRIESTS: and we shall reign on the earth.
