If we don't show people salvation is worth having this very moment, how are we going to convince people of what all of us need? Keep in your hart that He is coming back sooner rather than later.
LUKE 12:40 Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.
People should attend and not become lackadaisical. Living outside of church is not the way you learn what God has for you or to reach others for our Lord. Let people see that you care more for God than yourself.
JOHN 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
Ask Christ in your own way If you're not saved today; you can use this as a guide.
"Dear heavenly Father I am sorry Christ took the punishment that I deserve, so that through faith in Him I could be forgiven." "I ask you Christ that you please forgive me of all my sins. I thank you Lord for your wonderful grace and forgiveness.
Tell a pastor at a Christian Church that you have asked Christ for Salvation and go to Sunday school you'll find fellowship to be a great help as you grow as a Christian.
"Ask Christ in your own way If you're not saved today; you can use this as a guide.
"Dear heavenly Father I am sorry Christ took the punishment that I deserve, so that through faith in Him I could be forgiven." "I ask you Christ that you please forgive me of all my sins. I thank you Lord for your wonderful grace and forgiveness.
There is no precedent set in the Bible that anyone is to say a prayer in regards to asking to be saved. The Bible is clear that Jesus died on the cross to pay the price of redemption so that we could be redeemed to the Father. Do you understand what redemption is? Our sins, the iniquities of us all, were laid on Jesus and nailed to the cross. Our sin died on the cross. We don't need to ask for forgiveness we have to walk in our forgiveness, free of guilt and shame knowing we can not be condemned because we believe in the work of Jesus on the cross and in His resurrection from the dead. Therefore the world is already saved. He came to redeem us back to the Father and as a result of our redemption we are saved from the curse of death and hell. We were bought with a price, the price of His blood. Jesus made it very clear in John 3:16 that to be "saved" we only have to believe in Him. He actually said Born from above not "saved". He never, never, never said anyone had to say a prayer, respond to an altar call, ask Jesus into their heart, give their life to Jesus or get saved. NEVER!!! Just believe.
I do not understand how a Christian can read their Bible every day or week and not know this. The blind are leading the blind right into a ditch full of fear based, guilt fed religious insanity.
"Dear heavenly Father I am sorry Christ took the punishment that I deserve." Why would you be sorry that Jesus died so you could be redeemed, are you crazy? I'm glad he died and I'm thankful he died so I could have fellowship with the Father the way He intended me to.
"so that through faith in Him I could be forgiven." You were forgiven when He died on the cross. By grace, through faith, you are saved. Faith in the fact that you were already forgiven when Jesus died on the cross and by placing your faith in that truth you believe and are saved from hell and death. "Take up your bed and walk" into the life in Truth laid out before you. The Gospel of Jesus is about the Kingdom of Heaven. Live as a forgiven person not as a sinner saved by a prayer. Do you not understand the Gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven?
"I ask you Christ that you please forgive me of all my sins." Already done, again, on the cross. Furthermore forgiveness comes from the Father not from Christ. Jesus died to redeem you and as a result of the successful payment of the only price for your redemption you are also forgiven by Father. If you weren't your redemption would be worthless. This is because sin separates you from Father and once it is forgiven, treated as if it never existed, you can have free access to the throne of God.
"I thank you Lord for your wonderful grace and forgiveness. You got this right as long as "Lord" is Father and not Christ.
