The Christian Media ministiry firmly believe we are in the last days and the tribulational cycle is at hand. Furthermore, we believe that to engage in physical preparations is not only Scriptural, but is an outward evidence of our inward conviction. Those that criticize the preparedness mindset are hypocrites. We suggest they remove their spare tires from any automobiles they operate, cancel all insurance policies, and build their houses on the sand. That way when disaster does strike, they can exhibit how powerful their alleged prayer lives are.

Of course, the aforementioned is a course of foolishness, but it illustrates the inconsistent approach to prophecy. The scriptures tell us "By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house...." (Hebrews 11:7).

This is directly applicable as Jesus Christ told us that the times of His return would be "just as it was" in Noah's time; thus we look at Noah as an example of a godly man who was aware of a great move of the Lord that was about to occur. We might ask, did Noah look at the overwhelming task before him and think 'I'll never be able to survive such an all encompassing judgment' or did Noah act in obedience and faith -- regardless of his as yet undemonstrated maritime construction abilities? The answer is obvious.

Hebrews further tells us that Noah's very act of the exertion of effort in which he "prepared an ark to the saving of his house" was evidently directly related to the fact that he then "became heir of the righteousness which is by faith" (Hebrews 11:7). Notice it wasn't his boat building abilities (read our miniscule survival techniques) that made him the heir of righteousness. It was the fact that he stepped forward regardless of his skill set and took on the task at hand -- and that was the evidence of his FAITH that God would see him through the trial to come.

In an effort to emulate the exemplary performance of Noah (to say nothing of Joseph and other fine Biblical examples), we prepare for the events to come. Christian Media Networks has an entire web site, printed newsletter, and audio/video broadcasts devoted to survival, health, and physical issues associated with this subject. The Sound Body ministry is that construct. The radio program runs daily on the network (presently at 3 PM PST Monday through Friday -- see the broadcast schedule) and in 2008 launched a regular television program carried on the internet at http://www.cmri.tv.

The printed newsletter carries articles of importance relative to preparedness, survival, and abundant health. To request the newsletter, simply send an email to [email protected] with your name and postal data.

And finally, please visit the Sound Body website, complete with articles of interest, and a catalog for the items that we've found useful and expedient towards the goal of learning more and utilizing the tools available to counter the present threat to our lives in Christ. http://www.soundbody.tv

The Great Tribulation will last for 42 months. Do you have enough food and supplies to last that long?

And if you do have enough to last for 42 months for your family and even for the poor, how long will it be before they will be plundered by demon-controlled people during the Great Tribulation who are looking for your food? What will you do afterward?

I've been told that Only the Government will have enough food stored up for 42 months and its all stock piled in the desert in bunkers...And IMHO it still wont do them any good because those that Trust in...Believe in...and are IN the LORD Jesus are outa here before all that happens...Faith...Trust...Belief...Abba has it covered...Literally...He is Righteous and His Judgement is also...

Now Ifin ya be what some call a chosen one thats "Left Behind"...well...your job will probally be to survive and preach the gospel...RIGHT ???...WRONG ???...or maybe...Neither ???....Is this a quiz that we get graded on ???...

We are to be prepared for the coming of our LORD our Husband...we are to be prepared with Oil for our Lamps...a Clean Wedding garment...and we Must make our Election sure...I don't want to be Foolish (Bride) Virgin...since the LORD says watch...Ima a watchin and its lookin like it can be any day now...Ima just stay focused on HIM and all will be as it should be...RIGHT ???... Godjude I dont think the church is going to be here through the tribulation. I am not a mid or post trib thinker!

The church is removed. Tribulation not about the church age but it is all about God finally dealing with Isreal. It is the 70th week of Daniel. The church wasnt around for the first 69 weeks so the church will be removed for the 70th.

Having said that , We dont know exactly when Jesus Christ will come for us.

For us to have the mindset that we will escape all catastrophe is IMHO not wise. We simply do not know especially with what is going on with our debt and the threat of ww111.

I am far from a fanatic about this. I am realistic. I dont have alot but I do have water, food, and working on a few other things.

I agree being ready in Christ is very very important and in fact it is first and foremost every single day in my life; catastrophe or not!

The way I think about it is this:

if I am not here , there will be something left for those left behind.

If we do see some unpleasant events; I will be ready to help myself and my family or a neighbor.

It will be a tool for witnessing and spreading love and the truth of the gospel.

Amen!...AMEN!!! To all of that...ima on that same page.

My family and some neighbors thought me crazy for carrying a back pack in my truck with survival stuff.

Well...we had a fire break out last year and had to evacuate ASAP. It really puts a quick thought as to what to take in a Emergency. I grabed my lil Dog...Safe Box...a hand full of underware and socks...forgot my Tortise and my guns/ammo...I wasn't as prepared as I thought I was...

I yelled for my elder neighbor and he loaded into his van and took off just behind me. He forgot his gun to. We couldnt see more than 2 feet before us until we hit the main road.

I headed for my Church and he showed up after we touched base by phone and I told him where I was. We had A/C 100+* outside...a comfy couch...TV...Fridge with food and water...toliets...shower...all the fixins of home. We was in the Fellowship house. We even had my Pastor that said stay as long you need. If ya need anything you know I'm right next door...lol...God Bless the man of GOD!!!

Our lil homes didn't get hit by the fire Thank GOD!!!...However it gave me a new found perspective and view of what is important and what is not...the LORD had it all under control then and will always have it under control...and Ima just Blessed to be alive and have the LORD in my life... X <>< O

My neighbor now knows why I carry a back pack with survival stuff...just incase I need it...:bouncy:

Thats a great example and I too am thankful your home was spared!! I did see the news of horrible fires on the web. It was just awful .

Praise the Lord!! I dont have a bag but I am working on it! Does your neighbor have a bag ready yet?

Where I live there is a problem with the well sometimes. After countless times of not having water for a day or two days;I bought a 55 gallon tank online at costco. >> I have learned to wash my hair and clean up at the stove. I warm the water. I can completely bathe with 2 gallons and just one gallon for hair. Im working on getting that down to less.

Now I know I have water if anything happens. :applause:

Yesterday the internet was down for 6 hours and also all cell phones were too except for some odd reason those with verizon still has service. One minute I was talking with a friend on my cell and the next it was down.At the very same time the internet was down. First thing that I thought of was "we are at war or someone hacked the satellites in the usa.

I thought maybe the hack was because of the voting on the web yesterday as a utility therefore more watchful gov eyes .

Now I know it may have been a "tad" premature but what can I say, it had never happened to me!

So first thing I did was check with the neighbors. Yep, theirs was down too and they has no landlines or cell coverage!

Next I went down to bestbuy and they said it was out nationwide. Which now I know was false information. I was crankin my solar radio for info. I was tuning in on my tv(I dont watch tv but figured if there was an emergency it would be on) looking for news of what was going on! I still dont know how far reaching the mishap was. Some said 22 states. Some said nationwide. Some said just northern az.

Im not ashamed to say I was a tad freaked out!! I could not get in touch with anyone. I was totally cut off!!

I dropped to my knees and prayed.

I opened my BIBLE and asked the Holy Spirit to teach me in the hour.

Psalms 112:7-8 was my rhema word:

They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the LORD to care for them.

Their hearts are secure, they will have no fear; in the end they will look in triumph on their foes.

So now it is today . Yesterday>> I take it as a training ground!! But I wasnt really prepared! I would like to get a ham radio and also have a plan with family and friends on how we can get in touch if/when this happens.

Our Lord is our fortress! He is with us.

He gave me wisdom to do wise things so I shall :)

Gods grace abide
