I would like to ask,where did 'christmas' originate.
Did Messiah Yeshua celebrate 'christimas,seeing that most people believe 25,Dec,to being the day He was born.
Had Peter,Paul,James,John and the other disciples (learners) of Yeshua celebrate 'christmas'.
IF not,then why would people celebrate something which cannot be found within he Word of GOD.
According to the Word of GOD Almighty;Believers are to be 'CELEBRATING the DEATH of Yeshua,not His birth.
1Corinthians 11:23 For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which He was betrayed took bread;
1Co 11:24 and giving thanks, He broke and said, Take, eat; this is My body which is broken on behalf of you; this do in remembrance of Me.
1Co 11:25 In the same way the cup also, after supping, saying, This cup is the New Covenant in My blood; as often as you drink, do this in remembrance of Me. See Luke 22:19, 20
1Corinthians 11:26 For as often as you may eat this bread, and drink this cup, you solemnly proclaim the death of the Lord, until He shall come.
I believe that the 'christmas' celebration is of pagan origins,and has been within Catholisism for many centuries.
The term 'christmas' means 'Christs mass',which really is a 'bloodless' sacrifice;which conveys NON forgiveness,as forgiveness requires a sacrifice of blood.
Hebrews 9:22 (LITV) And almost all things are purified by blood according to the Law; and apart from shedding of blood no remission occurs.
We do not live within a vacuum spiritually,over the years,
those proclaiming the name of Yeshua have been believing things not found within the Word of GOD,which makes it easier to accept the things which unbelievers believe.
Let us confess (which means to be in agreement with GOD Almighty) that we have not been believing GOD Almighty and His Word.
May we ask for 'FAITH',and 'REPENTANCE' ( repentance means to change the way one thinks about GOD Almighty and His Word)to be believing the Word of GOD.
Remember Grace runs downhill, down the hill of humility,
Yepper,Messiah sets people free from the law,rules and regulations as a means to being saved.
Yet where in the entire NEW COVENANT do we ever find GOD Almighty telling anyone to be celebrating the birth of the Messiah.
Beside this,no one even knows when Messiah was born,it is not even recorded in the Word of GOD.
Christmas has resulted in more people going broke by buying gifts for others,where in the Scriptures will we find this to being the will of GOD.The borrower becomes the SLAVE to the lender.
So Messiah goes to the cross to free a person from the wrath of GOD, in order for them to become the slave of the bankers in order to buy so called 'christmas gifts'.
