Sodomy and the Sodomites are seeking to take over the world, and make it like Sodom and Gomorrah, as promised in the Word of God~
The end is nearer than it was yesterday~
Now, the Sodomites are seeking to take over the whole city of Houston, Texas.
The Sodomites in Houston, Texas city government recently passed a bill which made it legal for men to go into women's bathrooms and women to go into men's. For those of you who do not know, next to Atlanta, Houston has the largest Sodomite population east of San Francisco. Now, there have been 50,000 signatures collected by the straights calling for a repeal of the law, but the lesbian mayor and others of the fictional government, have thrown the recall out, prompting a lawsuit. Now the Sodomite mayor wants the leaders of the churches in Houston, Texas to produce documents pertaining to sermons and positions on moral issues, so they can scrutinize them, and there is a huge battle being waged in Texas..
The thing to remember is that sodomy was fashionable for the ancient Greeks, just before the downfall of their civilization. It will likewise likely become fashionable in our world for males to choose men over women...even for men who do NOT have same-gender attraction. So, the Greeks would attend parties, where men would bring their wives, but the men could still have, ahem, (sorry to be graphic) intercourse, with other men there. Sound sad? (Especially for the women who got ignored?) Read Thomas Cahill's fascinating book about the Greeks.
Sadly, the perversions seem to increase in our world. But the biblical town of Sodom was a place where the the debauchery was such that mobs of men would presumably rape other men, without recourse. In the end, God judged Sodom and destroyed it.
The lesson for us is that either sodomy, or mob rape, seem to be topics that God has strong feelings about. When we cross reference this story with Lev 18:22 (don't lie with men as with women), we can assume that God does not accept sodomy.
I do not argue that those who feel same-gender attraction do not have real desires. They can and some do. But a Christian man who desires another man is not much different from a Christian man who desires little girls. We would expect and even demand that a man who desires little girls must resist, repress, deny, reject, etc., his desires. That is not acceptable at present, even among non-Christians. As believers, we would counsel such a man to get help, healing, restoration, deliverance, etc. We seem to believe that there is a solution for a man who desires little girls. But many in the church do not have a hope for men who desire other men. They say it is best not to judge, or some have even said to embrace and celebrate same gender desires.
However, the Bible says that when we are born again, we are made into a new creation. That means that God can change hearts AND desires. I know some guys who have been delivered of same gender attraction. For others, who are born again, such desires do not immediately depart.
In the end, for those men who desire little girls, there is only one choice in our present world: abstain from sexual activity.
For Christian men who desire other men, there is likewise only one choice in God's kingdom: abstain from sexual activity.
The good news is that heaven promises to be 1000x better than what we have here. So, the little sacrifice that some make to abstain from sexual activity while on earth will be rewarded many times over when we arrive in heaven. Can't wait to go! Hope to see you there!
